She has no interest in Congress, that requires recognizing democracy. That's not what she's into. She didn't get this far with democracy and Nancy Pelosi won't permit her to do anything anyway.
It's been 6797 days since Axl Rose told us we'd get 18 songs with 10 bonus tracks, then the record company would release the second album when that had run its course and by the time they'd finished promoting the second album, they'd be done with the third album.
April 30, 1962, 6797 days before John Lennon died, the Beatles were playing in Hapsburg, having learned a couple weeks earlier that their former member Stu Sutcliff had died. They weren't yet thinking about kicking out their drummer Pete Best, but their new manager Brian Epstein was negotiating with record producer George Martin who would offer the band a recording deal.
That was only a couple of weeks after Mick Jagger and Keith Richards went to a bar and first met some guys in a band, Brian Jones, Charlie Watts and Ian Stewart. Izzy Stradlin was born the next day, Stu Sutcliff died a day or so later.
6797 days before Freddie Mercury died, Queen's first album was three months away from being released. And yes, they recorded and released videos for it.
6797 days before Elvis died, he had been stationed in Germany for a few months and was learning about these neat things called amphetamines. It would be nine months before he learned about a neat thing called Priscilla who would become the "Stephanie Seymore" of his life.
Axl has taken more time to let people hear the second part of his trilogy than John Lennon's entire career. Bob Dylan's first album had only come out six weeks earlier, Axl Rose was born only six weeks before that.
The first part of Axl's trilogy was finally released 4515 days ago. 4515 days before Lennon died, the Beatles had just recorded "Hey Jude" and before that, "Revolution" which would come out as a single soon with videos for each. They were about half-way through the
White Album
recording sessions which produced more than 18 songs and 10 bonus tracks and that's just counting what was released. Paul had just broken up with Jane Asher, the one-true love his life.
Or another example, it's been 9954 days since Axl and Slash were on Rockline, January 3, 1994, where Slash gave Axl a demotape, he'd written the music for at least a dozen songs for the next G'n'R album. 9954 days since they definitely had the basics for a new album. Obviously that music was finished and released to the public but not through any work by Axl.
9954 days before John Lennon died, he'd just started high school and was years away from learning to play guitar.
9954 days before Freddie Mercury died, his family had just moved to England.
9954 days before David Bowie died, he was busy recording the Tin Machine album, a break in his solo career.
9954 days before Prince died, he was busy recording the soundtrack to the first
Batman
movie.
9954 days before Michael Jackson died, he was getting ready to start recording a few ditties for an album called
Thriller
. He had 30 songs that would be recorded. A trilogy in the making?
9954 days before Elvis died, he was learning to play guitar and forming a band in highschool.
9954 days ago, Axl Rose had only one album left to make in his life. It would sell about as many copies as Slash's solo albums but it would cost a lot more money. G'n'R had already done whatever it was going to do. Many of the songs on Use Your Illusions had already been written during the
Appetite For Destruction
era, most of the covers on
Spaghetti Incident
were recorded during the
Illusion
sessions.
9954 days after Jagger and Richards had met Brian Jones and the other future Rolling Stones, the band was preparing to release their comeback album,
Steel Wheels
, and start a tour which would have Living Colour as the opening act. G'n'R fans know what would happen on that tour when they were allowed to join the show.
I have to admit, I do wonder if there's an 'underground' network for the secret rulers of the world. If so, I would believe Axl has released his music to them. That way, anybody who talks about how Axl isn't releasing new music is showing that they clearly aren't 'in the group.' Even if Axl isn't involved, I do suspect there is a group like that, possibly more than one, and they delight in such ignorance of their secrets because it so obviously demonstrates who's not 'one of them.'
That's the sort of thing I think about.
