□ [“Missouri Senator Josh Hawley Calls for a Vote on His PELOSI Act"]
He tried pushing this in January 2023 but it went nowhere. He had finally gotten out out of committee but it took two years just to get the committee to vote on it. Now why do you suppose members of his fellow Republican party wouldn't be eagerly supportive of the Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments act?
To be fair, it's irrelevant anyway. Congress can ignore their own laws so right there it's doomed to failure. Even if they somehow had to pass it and even obey the law, they'd just find some other way to defy it. Frankly, I'd be investigating Hawley to see if he's figured out any other ways to do it which magically aren't covered by his law.
Nancy probably doesn't even know about this act. No point paying attention to Senate bills with zero chance of ever reaching the House. She's too rich to be bothered with that. But it would be interesting if she was asked about it in public, just to see her reaction. Where does she stand on this issue?
I still think the basic problem is something that really can't be solved. The closest to a solution there is would be limiting government authority so there's nothing to get from bribing politicians. But there's always going to be some reason to want them in your corner if you can afford it. The personality type driven to politics will always look for those options. At least in an aristocracy, you can shrug and say they were born that way, but these people volunteered for this behavior.

□ [“David Hogg's Critique of Democrats: Men Want to Get Laid"]
But what about the other genders? How come he only focuses on this one who's abandoning Democrats for all the decades of being told how awful they are? He's not going to last much longer in the party.
He doesn't really get to the point but to an extent, he gets to be the 'broken clock' that's right once or twice. The party is opposed to heterosexuality so that leaves out most men and any woman who wants those men. They'll just get their voting majority from the other genders, that's what the party has always worked for.
One point he's missing is the fact that leftists insist that everything must be political. That's not a way to get laid so what are young men supposed to do? I almost get the impression that he's never thought of this until all of a sudden he's dealing with high-ranking Democrats and their bimbos. Assuming he's hetero - and I'm not assuming that - he'd be meeting a lot of rich women with loose marriages and realizing he'll get in big trouble if he says or does the wrong thing.
This is why men are turning away from the party and from leftism. It's basically why leftism is anti-men but anyway, Hogg has to figure out what to do about this. It's why he's dealing with Bill Maher, who's actually trying to go against leftism himself. This must be an official attempt to change direction but something about this does come off as being different, publicly saying that what they've been doing isn't working. It's still limited, they can't actually point out why this is happening, but it's a start.
And just after I finished writing the above, I see a new article saying the DNC has decided there was a 'procedural error' in the February election which made Hogg and someone else vice chairs, so they need to recount those votes. It's the first step to getting rid of him and it's been barely three months. Republicans were supposed to get rid of Trump quicker than that.

□ [“‘Faith Leaders’ Block Gates at Newark ICE Detention Center, Won’t Move Until They're Arrested"]
So I'm guessing none of these people have day jobs, families they need to pay rent and buy food for. They can just stay here as long as they want with nothing else to do. And then they can go to jail for as long as we want with nothing else to do. Being arrested must be the primary goal here because they can't achieve anything else, but what's this supposed to do?
Can't find any info but I'm guessing these are 'faith leaders' in the sense that there's some sort of fake religion that's been funded by USAID and/or criminal gangs. I notice the slave trafficker who was moved to El Salvador is no longer getting attention, not even asking if he really was a trafficker. They just ditched him and are now ignoring any specific person so they don't need to ask the same questions.
The members of Congress who visited this weekend were clearly intended to get this started. But face it, members of Congress don't really get obeyed, so this is more of a gang, some sort of cult or mafia or something like that. Odds are that they're still part of human trafficking. What they're not going to get is much more support.
In the long run, that makes sense. The only people who show up will be these obsessed servants, everyone else will quickly be sick and tired of the whole thing. These people will effectively be exposing themselves to the world because they have nothing else to do and just pretend to have any common sense or morality.

□ [“Trump Calls for Republicans to Unite on Tax-Cut Bill in Senate Tax, Energy, and Agriculture Committees"]
Tax cuts are always a good idea but even Republicans seem to oppose them. Or maybe it's just the current Republicans in Congress. They run both houses and the POTUS, but have only passed five bills since Trump took office. They get paid for this.
A lot of them are members of the Uniparty, or 'never Trumpers,' which is the same thing. At some point they realized they couldn't overrule the voters so they need to just sit around doing nothing for the next four years. Did I mention they get paid for this?
So not only can most of whatever Trump does be reversed by a future uniparty administration, they can just go after him as a dictator for anything he tries to do. There's talk that he's going after the illegal immigrants by suspending 'habeas corpus' on them, which is basically 'can't be arrested and go to jail without a trial/specific legal requirements.' The anti-Trump "Lincoln Party" opposes that, even though Lincoln did just that himself. All that stuff we see about Democrats opposing their roots, that's what anti-Trump Republicans are doing too.
I don't think he described it well but this is probably what Trump meant about being 'the dictator for a day' or whatever his specific statement was. Congress isn't going to do anything so the Chief Executive has to call the shots. I'm just being pessimistic but I don't see a good way for Trump to do this. Even if he only does the right things, it's still tyranny, and there's no reason we should trust him to only do the right things. If nothing else, it would be a disguise to swindle us.
There's also problems with the courts, Roberts is still making vague comments that can only be anti-Trump. He's not doing anything else, especially regarding the judges who make up new laws for everyone to obey. And all of this is just feeding the leftists who want to overthrow everything anyway. I'm not tired of winning, I'm tired of waiting for more wins.
