This war is sponsored by Rococo Coffee. Why aren't more people buying it?

□ [“Trump to Offer Iran ‘Last-Chance’ Proposal"]

Didn't he do the same thing with Ukraine and those peace talks have basically been over since then?  Or at least irrelevant.  Difference being that the US isn't directly involved in that war and doesn't want to be.  Like it or not, we're more obligated to be involved here.  Hopefully we're not directly involved but that's basically what Trump's trying to do here.  You can release Johnny Fontaine from his contract and take this ten thousand dollar check or I will return tomorrow with Luca Brasi.

The forces have been put into position.  Trump says the US controls the skies and knows where Iran's leaders are hiding.  For convenience, I will assume that's true although you can certainly find arguments to the contrary.  The point isn't to have a war, the point is to hit Iran so hard that they're not even capable of fighting a war.

And we're about to find out what Iran is capable of.  My guess is they'll try to nuke Jerusalem, if they're capable of it.  If they're not capable, that's the end.  They made this claim and failed to carry it through.  Even if they are capable, they might not even try.  Some people in the government may refuse to go along, certainly the populous wouldn't want to be hit with a response.  There's even a chance that the US or Israel actually have workable defenses, although I can't imagine what that would be.  I'm sure governments have done everything they can do develop defense against nukes and so far, we've never had to learn if they work.

It might be something other than a nuke but that's just speculation, there's nothing else to consider.  Maybe they'll release the Epstein files.  We do have hackers going after their computers, government, military, banks.  This will reveal more information, like how much access China has to them, and to us.

We're also going to see how much BRICS will really help each other in wartime.  Just a guess but I'd say it won't be that much.  I think one of Trump's goals in recent negotiations with China and Russia was to make sure they won't get involved to help Iran, and I suspect he's won that battle.  China is iffy but I think Russia has actually made a public statement that they won't be involved to help their ally.  Of course public statements in wartime may not be totally trustworthy, but it's all we have.

□ [“Not So Fast, Netanyahu:  Trump Assassination Plots Trace Back to Ukraine—Not Iran"]

I'm less interested in the specifics than in the fact that this contradiction is suddenly coming out.  Netanyahu presumably has his sources, but the FBI has investigated Trump's attempted assassins.  They can't both be true, can they?

Well, we are now learning how NGOs have been passing money back and forth in ways that make them effectively invisible to the IRS and other investigators, even though they are specifically connected.  Furthermore, what strikes me is that there was an interesting anecdote just today.  Trump was asked about Iran having nukes and said they were very close to it.  It was then pointed out that Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard said Iran was nowhere close to having nukes and Trump's response was "I don't care what she said."

I'm sure the left was thrilled to hear that they were disagreeing but it occurred to me that they both have difference sources.  Gabbard works for Trump but doesn't share everything for security reasons.  She's since pointed out that her statement was made in March, so the point is that not only do things change over time, but she and Trump are operating from different perspectives.  That can be seen as negative but I don't mean that here.

Thinking of this reminded me of a couple times back in my Army days when I was listening to high-ranking special forces operators make comments about whether or not Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and what happened to them if he did.  Their statements completely contradicted each other, yet there was no reason to think either one was lying.

The point I'm trying to make is that the war we've been involved in for the last couple decades takes place on many different levels with people moving in many different directions.  The organization can be very difficult to perceive, where you expect to find Muslims on the same side as gays, trans and abortionists?  There's religion, class, nationalism and ideology separating them yet somehow many different groups are operating together in this war.  So the initial point about Ukraine and/or Iran being involved in attempting to kill Trump rings true.  Whatever the actual facts are, people have their own reasons for accepting their own version of the truth.  This doesn't change the facts but it shows why it's so hard to comprehend what's really happening here.

Another protestor insisted on getting in front of a car and was injured by it.  I think most people had a sigh of relief when the governor of Florida said drivers have the right to keep going if these protestors tried to stop them.  Finally someone put that out.  I'm guessing that most protestors realized they were the ones who'd suffer and that's why there's only been two of these incidents in the last couple days.

Playing in traffic like this really is the mentality of those who think they know best and everybody else must conform.  Ruining traffic, messing up people's lives, all of that is just despicable.  There's certainly no sense that they've reached a limit, if you permit them to surround your car, that's as bad as they'll ever get.  No, they'll find reasons to demand more.  They're eagerly looking for ways to impose themselves even further onto others.

Cars are dangerous, that's why you shouldn't stand in front of them when they're moving.  People who disagree with that are effectively showing that they have no right to live.  I'm not even saying I would definitely start going forward if surrounded like that, but it's at least good to know that option is protected.  Self-defense is a right and it's not a government-provided privilege.  In a civilized world, you wouldn't put people in that position in the first place so yes, they would be wrong to run you over.  But that's not how leftists want it.

□ [“Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson to Roll Out Race-Based Grants as Reparations"]

The people on his committee are going to get a lot of money to spend before they ever even start with these "reparations."  What are the odds this is just about scamming as much money as possible before the federal government intervenes?  18 U.S. Code § 242 forbids deprivation of rights under color of law so there's no way to win that in court.

His goal is probably to bribe enough blacks to defend him when the government comes in to stop him.  I'm not really sure what he expects the endgame to be here but I'm not sure he's able to think that far in advance.  He can't think of any way to make the city worth living in, this is all he's got left to do?  Does he actually think this will work or is he deliberately trying to scam people?

Or at least scam black women.  It looks like more and more men see the real problems here and want to get the hell away from that.  Democrats are becoming increasingly desperate to keep them in their place and the harder they try, the less success they're going to have.  I keep telling myself not to be optimistic, it's not going to work right.  But that said, I must admit some things are starting to look better than they have for a long time.
