□ [“ABC Cancels Jimmy Kimmel Indefinitely After Kimmel Lied About Kirk’s Assassin Being MAGA"]
□ [“ABC’s Matt Gutman Forced to Apologize After Calling Kirk Assassin’s Texts ‘Very Touching’"]

This is interesting.  Both because they're so openly showing their interest in the murderer and because they're both Disney/ABC.  At least one part of the Disney empire is trying to calm things down, at least a little bit.  The first guy had to be cancelled anyway, his show loses $40 million a year and half that is just his salary.  The second guy was obviously given a choice, apologize or you're gone.  It's a valid question if he even wrote the apology or if it was just handed to him to read.

ABC was important to Disney for a long time, although it was only a few decades ago that they were purchased.  A few decades before that, they had started Disney tv shows and funded the building of Disneyland which is where the company finally became permanently profitable.  CEO Bob Iger started out at an ABC network, moved up to run Capital Cities, the company that purchased ABC and then to Disney when they bought Capital Cities.  So regardless of its real importance, Iger would definitely see ABC as crucial to the company.

It's debatable whether he's behind these moves or if someone else is undercutting Iger.  But I think it does show how deeply megacorporations are being hit by the realization that things have changed now.  They can't just promote the *woke* agenda without consequences and this creepy attraction to a murderer is not helping.  Companies do have to appeal to the customers.  Small companies can get by with fewer customers.  Giant media conglomerates, not so much.

□ [“Trump Designates Antifa as a 'Major Terrorist Organization'"]

Well this is a big move.  If it's actually happening, that is, and not just another Trump post.  I'm guessing it's being done now although there's no citation of his EO or whatever document would be required.  He says they'll be using RICO charges, established to fight the mafia.  For all intents and purposes, they're considered to have started in the first Trump administration, although the first "antifa" group was founded in 2007 in Portland, Oregon.  They expanded from there.  Their first mention in my news coverage was April 26, 2016 when that same Portland group got a parade cancelled with their threats to attack.

In theory, I support the idea.  They need to be gotten rid of one way or another.  But is Trump going to send the FBI or a related agency around the country to arrest these people?  They have worldwide connections, rioting in France back in 2017.  Maybe they're all owned by China, maybe they're all trans-activists first-and-foremost but it's probably not a group you can just scoop up.

□ [“Obama Launches Attack On Trump in His First Public Remarks on the Kirk Assassination"]

But I was wondering why Obama suddenly chose to speak out today.  He claims his administration never did anything like Trump is doing now and people are already pulling out proof  to the contrary.  I always go back to the quote about 'they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.'  He was definitely in line with Antifa and now he suddenly needs to see if he still has any public influence.

No idea where this will go.  There's just no precedent or examples to look at.  Of course it's not just Obama doing this, he's just the front man.  We don't know who's backing him although there are some obvious guesses.  It's not like Biden, Obama actually was POTUS and we're going in for one against the other.  The closest I can think of this ever happening was when Teddy Roosevelt ran against Taft and that's how Woodrow Wilson became POTUS.  We're still recovering from that one.

□ [“'Above the Law' Landlord Letitia James Violated New York’s Rent Stabilization Laws"]

Since 2001, she hasn't registered her rental property with the New York agency that requires this.  At least for a certain number of apartments, which James' properties were registered as having.  So there's no one to protect her renters from rent increases which is one purpose of the law she refuses to obey.  That's nearly a quarter-century and she's only being caught now?

This also ties up with problems of the judiciary itself, as well as New York, and the way they've been attacking Trump all this time.  You can understand why they left has to ignore this, with all these years of insisting 'the law applies to everyone' and one of their current favorites is disobeying it.  At this point, we're so buried by daily events that I'm not even sure what she was attacking Trump over but I'm sure she's not going to resign.  It'll be tough to even ask her about this in public.

She's already falsely claimed the number of residences in her buildings for mortgages and federal loans.  She's also claimed apartments she's renting are her "primary residence" and hid felons in them.  She was also married to her father for the purposes of filing for her first mortgage.  This is being revealed by a special prosecutor, probably because the legal system won't do anything about it.
