They were sitting on her desk, ready to be released.  Then they needed to hold on and cover up the names of the victims.  Then it turned out the FBI only got 200 pages.  And now it has to be covered up because "national security."

Pretend for the sake of argument that there's some magic weapons with these files that would kill everybody in the US if it became public.  Literally, we all start dropping dead as we read the list.  We'll also drop dead if you tell us why we can't be allowed to see the actual list.  I suppose "national security" might qualify as a reason to keep it hidden.  So what would you do about this?

Ok, you can stop pretending, that's too far away from reality to bother with.  This is a total failure.  It's hard to get tired of winning when we can point to such huge losses, especially when the administration isn't even admitting this yet.  Interestingly, the reaction to this looks parallel to the reaction last week that Kathleen Kennedy was finally quitting Lucasfilm.  It was unanimous, every reaction had the same motivation, glee for KK and anger for Trump's failure.  About the closest to a defense here is people blaming Bondi, not Trump.

Well I'm going to blame Trump.  He said he'd do this and has failed to do so.  Maybe Bondi is incompetent, maybe it's impossible, but the responsibility is on her supervisor, the one who assigned her to this job and this task.  Unlike the left, we don't actually worship our leaders.  Nobody's perfect, they're going to fail at some point, we just don't like that.  As opposed to the left who still think Kamala Harris ran a flawless campaign so obviously they'll keep doing the same thing.

Trump needs to make a public statement on why this failed.  Don't hide behind Bondi or an irrelevant excuse, he needs to give a straightforward explanation of why he expected this to succeed and why it didn't.  I don't care if this is part of a larger plan, you're going to have to inform your supporters now.  And be sure to include an update (lol) on the JFK/RFK/MLK stuff.

As to the speculation on why this failed, most people seem to assume the real power-holders are on the list.  As usual, Israel gets most of the blame, but I doubt it.  Trump has had no problem turning against Europe and we know they were involved, he's certainly turned on Republicans too, why would Israel get protected above all else?  Whoever it is would have no incentive to stop doing evil things if they're protected like this.

I'm just desperately looking for an up-side, but this might have something to do with all the recent connections being made with Trump.  European leaders head out to the White House or Mar-a-Lago to see him, even King Charles sent an invitation.  They would all be involved with people like Epstein so there could be further negotiations going on.  In that case, maybe Trump is willing to take the hit with this failure in exchange for progress elsewhere.

That's the best I can do on speculation.  This just looks bad.  If the powers-that-be can keep their grasp on Trump and his appointees here, they can do it elsewhere.  This would mean all the other victories we're watching are either a sham or always intended as part of the overall plan.  It just gets more discouraging the more you think about it.

In theory, I doubt it would matter.  If he self-identifies as having the authority to use autopen and everyone around him agrees, then legally the signature is the same as the real thing.  *Maybe* a case could be made in court, but it would just wind up with a judge who was appointed with autopen.

The real issue is going to be why he always did it that way and who was responsible for the autopen.  Apparently quitting the 2024 election was the only time in four years he had to do a real signature, meaning unnamed people around him were responsible for everything that came out of his fake Oval Office.  Everything Democrats whine about Musk not being elected applies to these people too.

There's also an implication that they're trying to blame everything on Biden and the people who surround him.  Democrats and the media were totally ignorant that he was so brain-dead, that's what was really wrong.  Biden himself is probably the most innocent of the lot since he'd have no clue what he was doing at the time and couldn't remember it now if you bribed him.  The rest of them are going to start turning on each other if they want to avoid being guilty for this exploitation and cover-up.

As with everything else, this needs an explanation and unfortunately, we're not getting one so far.  Maybe I'm just pessimistic, but it looks like we'll never get one.  If Trump was actually the dictator he's accused of being, the left would be terrified that he'll go after them for this, but it's more like Biden's still around and they know they'll get away with anything.

Something is underway.  Assuming what we're seeing is true, this isn't a standard war.  Those basically have two sides, the combatants and whoever their allies are.  This is looking more like everybody turning on each other.  We don't hear anything about Russia's allies - which is also strange - but Europe seems to be the one cracking down.

Italy has already refused to send any troops into this fight which nobody is asking them to join.  Poland has decided to draft all adult males, no explanation of why they only pick one gender.  For some reason, I doubt any of the other dozens of genders will be demanding military training right now, because equality.  Hungary has decided to have a public vote on whether Ukraine should join the EU because...  That's the burning question of the day???

Macron wants France's nuclear weapons to include all of Europe.  Russia points out that it has many many more nuclear weapons if they really want to get into this fight.  At least Russia's response is typical for Russia, whether or not that's a good or bad thing, but the rest of NATO should be telling Macron to sit down and shut the hell up.

Ukraine's missiles are now much less effective.  Trump shut off all information, like connecting to US satellites to help aim the missiles.  Reportedly Trump has sent negotiators to Ukraine to discuss how soon they can make an election happen.  Trump is also considering moving 35000 troops (out of 165000) from Germany to Eastern Europe.

These are the sort of people who infest the government and always seem to wind up in high-ranking positions.  They don't even need to face elections, they're just installed.  This reinforces the elites' status and protection against the lower classes, which leftists always pretend to oppose.  That's probably why they are so desperate to avoid acknowledging any of this information coming out.  It helps that they also feel entitled to other people's money.

This lawsuit was about Trump officials doing something with his laptop.  If Hunter's so broke, how would he even get into that?  I am starting to think this is part of the plan.  If nothing else, the fact that Hunter is still getting publicity.  If his father had any authority, Hunter would have been told to shut up ages ago.  He's in his mid-50s and hasn't had to do anything with his life so far, he's not going to start now.

There's been quite a few stories like this for the last several days.  Mostly Trump losing by one judge or another, a few wins here and there.  But it shows how many of them assume they have the authority to overrule the chief executive and his decisions for the executive branch.  They don't seem to cite any actual laws, they just presume they have power and must be obeyed.  That's not how things work.

What's going to happen if Trump just ignores them?  He just keeps firing people and cutting budgets.  What's the response going to be, the judges are in charge?  Neither the POTUS nor Congress should put up with that, and for the moment, they're on the same side.  And what does this show to the citizens of the country, that the minority losers get to make decisions for everyone else?  And by extension, so do all the other unelected bureaucrats, amazing how that works.

No idea what Trump's plan for this is although I do assume he still has one.  Just the way he started moving on Day One shows us that he had a goal in sight, no matter how much time or effort it would take to get there.  So his staff must be in on that as well, informed at least for their own respective targets.  They're clearly bringing hope to an ever-increasing number of people and no leftist judge can overrule that.

At least some Democrats have to realize that this is the party's base, that's who they've depended on for all these years.  Whether or not the mental illness came about naturally, it's been feed by the leftism of the media and the schools, by leaders who know what they're doing to the public and want more of that.

The cracks in the party are starting to show.  Gavin Newsom has started his streaming show to help him get the presidential nomination in 2028 and has already said he opposes women-with-penises playing in girls sports.  Not that he'll do anything about that as governor, but he needs to at least pretend he's not inside the liberal bubble.  Democrats want everyone to live in that bubble and an increasingly small minority, Newsom's example here is about the closest they get to an exception.  The rest is people who really want out.

This just shows how big the uniparty's problems are at this point.  They don't realize they're a hive mind and only know that Trump has somehow managed to break it apart.  It's still fascinating that it's being exposed like this.  At some point we'll learn what those who in charge have really been doing behind the scenes and it's going to drive virtually everyone else away from them.

I don't trust polls, but politicians and their pet media do, so they must have noticed that polls say the majority is getting away from leftism and everything Democrats do just makes it worse.  Killing Trump would probably be the best option, but then they'd be handled by the Americans who have guns.  We were there when Biden self-identified as POTUS and didn't have to shoot you, even on January 6.  Acknowledge reality or suffer, there's no third option.

At this point, that sounds like the truth.  Notice that everybody from Trump on down has gone quiet about any of this stuff coming out.  They could just be trying to protect some people, or the files themselves are permanently gone.  Burchett is just speculating, he *thinks* they don't exist, etc. but there's not much reason to think he's wrong, even if we hope he is.

Not sure what to do about it.  There's still going to be a lot more secrets that can be revealed.  Just heard that one of the survivors of Epstein Island did an interview and named some names, like Bill Clinton.  But we'll have to be a bit wary, if nothing else she was taken in back when she was 14 and been through the ringer.  Sad to say, there's no reason to expect Epstein's victims to have working minds.

But there has to be some records, at least of when the files existed and when they vanished, even if no names are given.  Happening in Clinton's first term, for instance, or the day before he left office.  If all that remains is a hole, we'd at least need to measure the hole and identify where it starts and stops.

I'm going to take this as a total loss by the Trump team.  I won't ignore future announcements and they'll probably be able to sucker me again but at the moment, I'm going to assume nothing they say about this will go anywhere.  They're not even being transparent about the failure or, pretending for the sake of argument, why it's taking so long.  They've just gone quiet about it, along with JFK/RFK/MLK.  Like there was nothing there to begin with.

Didn't hear much of Trump's speech.  Heard the first ten or fifteen minutes but my internet problems were backing up again, so I gave up.  No idea how long it ran but nobody's suggesting he set any new records for length.  Also don't hear much about him being as senile as Biden.  Right there is a plus.

Near as I can tell, and I haven't looked into the coverage either, he was pretty basic.  There were no surprising exposes, he didn't list the names of Epstein's closest friends or anything.  The parts I did hear was typical self-absorption, covering all his amazing accomplishments in the last six weeks.  There's reasons to be thrilled or annoyed by that stuff.  Going through a long list of examples of federal waste is something that deserved to be recognized.

Democrats made a point of not having any applause for anything.  Trump points to a black boy fighting brain cancer, they look stern and disgusted by what they see.  They'd rather that dark-skinned creature be late-term aborted right now rather than give him any support or approval.

Otherwise the main attention seemed to be going to the protestors.  There weren't that many.  A few made a point of leaving and showing off the word "resist" on the back of their shirts.  This sort of thing just seems pointless, why do you bother showing up if you're going to leave partway through?  Can't say you expected Trump to do something different, he's Trump.  You could have just skipped the entire speech, but then you wouldn't get any attention for walking out.  Democrat principles are worthless if they don't get attention for it.

The main protestor was right at the beginning, Al Green.  I never heard what he was yelling about, just that the House Speaker kept telling him to be quiet and finally sent in the Sergeant at Arms to remove the guy.  I'm not sure if it's better that he at least attempted to do something or worse that it's still completely pointless.

Otherwise, when I was still watching, the only thing that stood out was a very short clip of Nancy Pelosi, just after Trump cited "make America great again."  She just looked like her teeth were causing her big problems, or some equivalent reason to have that look on her face.  She was playing with her cane, as if she was trying to keep her emotions under control.  Don't know if it's true but I'd heard she had told her obedient party to not cause any problems tonight so she needed to impose her will on her subjects.

Anyway, no sign this speech was a big deal for anybody.  Just one of those things that occasionally happens.  I'm sure the polls say all sorts of things if you want to pick-and-choose from those, but I doubt it will mean much.  These things get more build-up than they really deserve.

I haven't found any reason why.  This is the case that Roberts intervened because the lower-level judge had no authority to include a deadline.  He immediately reacted to Trump's appeal and now voted against him on that case.  Not a good sign.

It's easy to accuse judges of being corrupt or blackmailed, but the Supreme Court has always been weird.  Like most people, I don't pay any attention to them, so the rare times they show up in my line of sight, it's often because they ruled on something in a way we wouldn't expect.  It almost doesn't matter what the case is, it's one justice or more ruling against something you'd expect them to support, or vice versa.

I'd need to look up which case it was, but the example that comes to mind was a few years ago.  The Biden administration was pushing standard leftism and lost 9-0.  Even his own appointees weren't putting up with it.  If the left can lose to leftists in a way that benefits the US, it's obviously a sign that the judges don't work in ways most of us could remotely comprehend.

Probably one of the difficult parts about being a judge, nobody understands your verdicts but, at least in theory, everyone is required to obey.  Until they don't.

He's talking about expanding France's nukes to protect the rest of Europe.  That's a major change and like everyone else, France still isn't at war.  At least not as far as normal people are concerned.  Macron and his ilk clearly believe they're in a live-or-die war right now, meaning that things will go wrong for them and they'll be left with nukes as the only option.

He's planning a meeting next week with all of Europe's "army chiefs."  A strange phrase to use, don't they have air forces or navies?  He's not using the term "summit" but otherwise what's the difference from any of the previous get-togethers these people have had in the last month or so?  They're just elites planning future meetings, promising that this will somehow create peace.

I still can't drop the theory that Fetterman was given intentional brain damage to make him a popular leftist and then surgery to restore some coherent sensibility.  He still stands with Democrats on almost everything, but can at least recognize their problems.  He even went to Mar-a-Lago a little while ago.

The people who run the party don't seem to realize that they're becoming an irrelevant minority.  The DEI agenda is almost completely past-tense almost everywhere in the country, and the few places it's not are struggling against their activist employees.  I would say the turning point was around the time Bud Lite got drunk and stupid, although it might be argued that the retreat had already begun.  But the people in charge still don't realize that.

It's all anecdotal, but it just seems like more and more people are turning away from leftism overall.  Blacks get most of the attention, especially black females, but I'd assume it's happening all through the spectrum.  At least I hope it is.  And the party is just making its problem worse with these antics.  They didn't have any solutions when they were in charge and they haven't learned anything by losing power.

Rumor, speculation or some part of Disney thinking it can get something by leaking info about another part of Disney.  It might even be a complete lie being put out to try to convince Kathleen Kennedy to get the hell out.  She has made statements that she's absolutely not retiring from movies but made no mention of staying at Lucasfilm.

I can't imagine Disney selling the franchise even if they desperately wanted to.  There's just the obvious question, who would want to buy it given the complete mess Disney has made?  It's not just paying Disney for the rights, it's trying to figure out any remotely possible ways of fixing it.

Then there's the fact that Disney would still want the rights to their productions, as well as making money from the One True Trilogy with toys, Disneyworld and the like.  'You buy all the problems, I'll keep the parts that still work'?  It won't work that way.  I would think you'd have to pay potential buyers just to sit through opening negotiations, what other incentive do they have to even try?

So thinking about it, I'm guessing this is more a rumor to get rid of KK than anything else, although they're probably also just showing off their desperation which is very real at this point.  I would say they should generally reduce the brand, at least as far as movies go.  Probably stop doing other stuff too, but I don't know how else Disney uses it so I won't speculate there.

In movies, they should bring back the 7-minute serials, kinda like what inspired the franchise in the first place.  Make a single installment as stand-alone as possible, but putting ten or fifteen in a row would create an overall story.  If I were in charge, this would be the only use of the franchise itself, as a basic space adventure shown before movies in theaters, just as it used to be.

Then the movies used should also be space fantasy, but without the Star Wars logo.  These would actually be part of the franchise but hide that for as long as possible.  No Jedi, no storm troopers.  Stories set in their own time.  Eventually connections between the movies can be made clear.  I would say 'phase one' ends with an appearance by storm troopers.  Not as the actual villains, just a scene or two that starts revealing this is going on.

It's not just Star Wars and it's not just Disney, these companies have become too overwhelmed by the weight of the IPs.  They have to push this through all their sub-companies, making arrangements with manufacturers of toys and breakfast cereal.  There's no way to create a remotely-interesting story that way and the IPs make themselves worthless to the customers.  It's the only way to make something people actually want to buy, the opposite of what Disney's been doing all this time.

Trump had already shut down all US aid to Ukraine, including equipment that was being transported.  Without that, Ukraine has nothing to work with.  It's not like they can just turn to Europe.  Britain and France are trying to actually send in troops and that's not going very well.  There's a reason Trump called his first book "The Art of the Deal."

Zelensky tweeted that he was ready to sign the mineral rights over at any time and any convenient format.  No more negotiating, not delay, no holding off to think about it for a week or three.  He must be a real babe magnet with that approach.  Trump will probably talk about it in tonight's speech, the actual signing is currently scheduled for Friday.

They are demonstrating that a "hive mind" truly exists.  They are offended to the heart - they don't have souls - by hearing anybody not speak that way.  It might even explain what they've done with media and academia, putting out this collectivist mindset to brainwash everybody, only they can't even perceive of it that way.  To them it's simply *how things are.*  They've been very disturbed by Trump winning the election and need to keep their servants in line.

The party held a retreat last month to work out solutions to their problems, or at least figure out what those problems are.  Just looking at the list, most of them come down to being elites who want nothing to do with the commoners.  Some of them are also used as the basis for the *woke* agenda.

"Overemphasis on Identity Politics" - dividing the commoners by skin color, gender and groupthink.
"The 'Faculty Lounge'" - they know best because they've given money to a college for a piece of paper, the rest of us can't understand that.
"Failure to Prioritize Economic Concerns" - none of them are struggling in Biden's great economy.
"Weak Messaging & Communication" - this might be normal for collectivism, the individual can say what he thinks, the group can only say what everybody thinks.
"Fear of Dissent Within the Party" - it's collectivism, it's also that the people in charge don't want to hear anything they don't like.
"Attachment to Unpopular Institutions" - this is probably human nature, sticking with what they know.  It's just that these things are leftist and unpopular.
"Allowing the Far Left to Define the Party" - everyone to the right is the enemy so they all want to universally move left.  They don't see why this is a bad idea.  It also links with the next one.
"Reactionary Rather Than Proactive" - collectivists don't create anything, their focus is entirely on the group.  So all they can do is react when reality intervenes and only see it in leftist terms.
"Overreliance on Buzzwords & Political Correctness" - this pretty much connects to all of the others on the list, elite code words, signaling to those 'in the know,' ignoring what people actually think because they're not as special as you.
"Lack of a Positive National Identity Message" - they oppose the nation so it's impossible to fix this.  America is evil so suddenly pretending they care about it is just a worthless joke.

So with all that, what is Gavin Newsom supposed to do to show that he was born to be POTUS and is just waiting for everyone else to realize that?  How about he order government works to actually show up to work!  Doesn't need to make that a namby-pamby law, just do an executive order like Trump does!

I assume this will head to the Supreme Court shortly.  If things go the right way - and I'll continue to be negative just because I can be - they'll quickly point out that the Chief Executive does indeed have that authority.  Clearly the court is needed to make an official ruling on this issue.  We're all waiting to see who reacts with 'this is how it should be' and who's filled with rage.

The Supreme Court has to step in, this is one of the things they're here for, but what will happen if they vote against Trump?  I'd like to think Trump already has a back-up plan in place, but that's so unheard of that I can't imagine what it would be.  As to Trump supporters, we're at the point where we're done with this.  Whether we self-identify as Spartacus or John Galt, if this is the elites want things run then we want nothing to do with that, from the federal government on down.

Trump is making sure to follow Article II, Section 3, Clause 1 of the Constitution and Democrats are just going to act like idiots.  As I write this, it's just a few minutes to the speech.  I'm not planning on watching, I'll wait for commentary to see if there's anything worth paying attention to.  50-50 chance, I'd say.

I've heard (don't recall where) Nancy Pelosi actually told Democrats to behave for a change.  If they're bringing stuff in, it doesn't sound like they're listening to her anymore.  Or maybe she was just covering herself and is totally fine with this.  Maybe they hope Trump sends in men with guns to shoot them so they can whine tomorrow about how oppressive he is.

If he actually says anything meaningful, they'll erupt but for other reasons.  I doubt he'll start listing visitors to Epstein's island or P. Diddy parties, but he might give a few details of how many people in the room went to those and they'll know who he's referring to.  He could also give some details on how they all get so rich on a congressman's salary.  I really hope he does something like that, just start putting stuff out to the public.

Otherwise, my guess is it will be generic politicizing.  I can't think of any Presidential speech I've ever heard that was particularly meaningful, and few that made any interesting comments either.  If Trump can be an exception, that will probably be fun.  Don't know if I'll even try to listen, partially because I'm not that interested and partially because of internet problems.  Maybe they could just have a brawl.

This is similar to how the left is reacting to Trump, whining about how oppressed they are and never wonder why they aren't arrested for saying that.  You could be punished more for using the wrong pronouns.  In Ukraine's case, Zelensky is fighting so hard against Russia that he has time to mouth off to the country providing money and weapons.  He's profited far too much by war to give it up.

He doesn't even have to produce anything like most contractors do.  He just hangs out with rich leftists around the world and that provides all the money.  I don't know if he thought Trump would be same as the others, although I can't imagine how he'd have missed that.  This is one of this times where you can't tell if the left really believes their nonsense is real because no sane person would think that, or if they know what they're doing and this was always the intended result.

Might as well say there won't be any more US aid until Ukraine has elections.  Give the people an opportunity to say whether or not they want to keep this guy around.  For that matter, Trump could just overthrow him as his predecessor did to Ukraine in 2014.  Odd how no leftist has ever objected to that.  Maybe they'd be sent to jail if they complained about the tyrant doing that.

Europe can't even agree on anything, except that they don't want a cease-fire.  This does raise the issue of why they're involved in the first place.  It gives the impression that they're the ones who really want the war, Zelensky and Biden were just puppets to make it happen, and leftists are their tools to avoid any responsibility.  A ceasefire would keep more Ukrainians alive, need to avoid that at all costs.

But as you might expect, Europe can't even hold together.  They don't agree with each other, much less find any coherent argument to make regarding this war.  The EU is already having this problem with subordinates who aren't following orders, now the people really in charge have to deal with each other and they don't get along.  At least if they had an actual role in this war they'd have something to stand on, but they're just elites who want war so they have nothing.

Europe is similar to Wile E. Coyote and the US is has the role of the cliff.  They've just ran off it and are only now realizing that.  They most be so glad that only government controls the media and can use weapons, otherwise they'd be terrified of what the populous thinks about this.  Not hearing anything about this from lower-class Europeans, are we?  Without support by the US.  Like Ukraine, they don't want to know hear from the peasants, they're just expendable troops on the ground.

She's obviously trying to inspire assassins and is clearly too lazy to do anything herself.  Every day they let Trump live, they are supporting an "enemy of the United States."  It's another example, does she have any clue what she's saying or is she totally aware that this is the intended goal?  Not so long ago, Democrats totally supported enemies of the US, but somehow they've done a 180.  Or at least they pretend to.

They're trying to bring the war home to us, that much is clear.  They really do not comprehend that they are the minority and if they really want to push this, they are facing an armed majority.  That won't end well for them, yet they're just doubling down on it.  How does someone even get to this point and why would they want to stay that way?

I think (or at least hope) that Trump and his crew really do understand the mentality we're fighting here.  You can say it's typical leftist behavior, but it seems deeper into natural human behavior, the refusal to acknowledge reality and to make things worse for themselves the harder they try.

It's possibly why I just assume everything is a demon-worshipping cult at this point.  They may not be an official cult, but they're all moving in lockstep in obedience to God's adversary.  As part of human nature, it can never be fully eradicated, but there are times where they seem to be overwhelming civilization and need to be cut down in great numbers.  They're the ones who want "population reduction," they can be the first to go.

And boots on the ground?  Who, dare I ask, will be filling those boots?  He's not going to get very many young British men eager to put on a uniform and go right Russia, maybe he'll have to start drafting Parliament.  Don't worry, they'll obey him.  In fact, maybe he should draft the whole EU to join his crusade.

NATO has already shown that they aren't required to join in when one of their members attacks another nation.  They didn't help France when they attacked Algeria and France didn't help when the US invaded Iraq.  The US did help France in Vietnam but liberals never seem happy about that.  And remember, Ukraine has never bothered to become an ally.

This may be the underlying point of the war, that the left really doesn't care what happens to Ukraine.  They just want to clean out western military equipment and taxpayer money for something that's none of their business.  Up to and including Starmer saying he'll put "boots on the ground."  I'm sure US liberals are cheering him on and damn Trump for not doing the same thing.

If they can apply this mindset to getting into a war - which they themselves haven't signed up for in three years - they can apply it to everything else they do, with the same results.  The world can see that now.

He's trying to be diplomatic but he's clearly saying that Europe and Ukraine need to go along with Trump's peace plan because there is no other option.  He'll obviously decide very soon that he should spend more time with his family and look for a less-stressful job.

European leaders made a point of taking pictures with Zelensky, but he's probably used to that.  It does nothing to actually protect any Ukrainian, which shows what isn't the priority.  Even if they think their dying for their nation, their supporters know it's about the 'new world order.'

Then there's the side-deals being made.  Apparently Britain and Ukraine signed a deal on January 16, just before Trump ended his long vacation from being POTUS, which promises security and gives the UK rights to Ukraine's critical minerals.  Wouldn't those be the ones Trump demanded in exchange for providing security?  People were outraged when he said that, I'm guessing they aren't remotely offended by Britain already doing the same thing.

One thing that is annoying about Trump is his habit of commenting on something in a way that makes no sense.  The left gets outraged, sensible people actually look at it and see that he has a relevant point, even if it has nothing to do with the comment that started it off.  I think he'd still get the same results if he was more straightforward about things like Ukraine's rare minerals.

I've said this before but I think Trump knows full-well how annoying he is, which is why he makes such a point of being right about whatever he's saying.  I think he scores poorly in a number of ways for public presentation, but I also think he knows it too, and has worked to compensate his whole life.  One thing that makes Trump likeable is that he's so affective at accomplishing the task he's supposed to and then leaving us along to go on with our lives.

Just a note, after I wrote this, Zelensky did say after his meetings in Britain that he was willing to sign Trump's agreement.  Either the Brits don't actually have the rights or Zelensky's trying to hustle Trump.  This might be an interesting week.

Why would she believe that there was only 120 pages?  Just the amount of operations Epstein had would require many tens of thousands, keeping the island functioning, however the trafficking was covered up, running his normal business operations.  But it had magically all vanished except for these 120 pages which SDNY was generously giving her now?

I suspect she didn't actually believe that, it's just the story they're going with.  Perhaps they're setting up the SDNY as suspects, protecting Epstein through all the investigations, before and after his death.  This is slowly becoming more known to the public, and then they can start including all the others in New York and elsewhere who were connected.

I really hope that's what happens.  Otherwise we have Bondi announcing that the documents on her desk were ready to be released to the public and one look at them would be asking 'that's it?'

But that's not all the conspiracies we see.  There's also the Chinese agents.  I forget if it was Nancy Pelosi or Dianne Feinstein who had one as a direct servant, but they've made their way through the uniparty.  Some of them may not even be Chinese.

Anyway, the point is that the federal government is infested with people like this, basically operating as cults.  All the power and none of the restraint.  Just the little we hear about stuff like this makes it clear that there's so much more, and it's really not clear what Trump plans to do about it.  Whether they know it or not, they're all on the same side, and so is China.

Here's an example of the problems Democrats are having.  The party follows the *woke* agenda but Emanual was the mayor of Chicago, before that he was Obama's Chief of Staff and has been working for the Clintons since Bill's 1992 campaign.  You could argue that he helped make the *woke* agenda and he's saying it's gone too far.

It's like that scene towards the end of Atlas Shrugged where the bad guys are talking about how all the people they liked are gone and have been replaced by meanies and thugs.  This is what the left has always been pushing.  There's more than a bit of similarity to the saying that people under 30 who aren't liberal have no heart, people over 30 who aren't conservative have no brain.  That's not literally true but the point is that age and experience show you that leftism doesn't work, yet the newcomers never understand that, they just say it's never really been tried before.

There's no way to know if Emanuel really believes this or if he's just moving with the winds, but that's how they're blowing.  The country has had far too much leftism and we want it gone.  This is why the party is having such problems, the only people they have in charge just want more leftism and are rich enough to get away with it.  Just a guess, but I'd expect Epstein will try to be the 2026 candidate.  He'll be almost 70 then and maybe Democrats will have gotten a bit smarter, but at the moment, just from making points like this, he seems like the best choice.

David Johansen, New York Dolls, Buster Poindexter, Scrooged, age 7520250228

The last of the New York Dolls has died.  They were one of those bands that was quite influential but never became popular.  They're from the early 70s and did their part to inspire various late-70s forms of rock'n'roll, like glam and punk, which the critics adored.  By an odd coincidence, their managers were heavily involved in promoting them and far less interested in the other band they managed, Aerosmith.  Fifty years later, Aerosmith has been one of the biggest rock bands ever and still have all their original members still alive.  The Dolls, not so much.

Johansen was the only member of the Dolls who would go on to any success, a one-hit wonder under the name "Buster Poindexter" and a few minor roles in movies.  He was quite entertaining as the Ghost of Christmas Past in Scrooged, but that's not much of a career to build on.  I suspect he got the little success he had was as a 'critical darling,' i.e. being with the critics in NYC.  If you know anything about the Dolls, you can probably see why they and their fans helped start the *woke* agenda.

But the music does have its place.  What the band lacks in musical ability, they make up for in entertaining songwriting, definitely inspired by some of earlier rock acts.  Their second album was produced by Shadow Morton, who had produced tracks like "Leader of the Pack" and "Inna-Gadda-Da-Vida" although the band was too far gone on drugs at that point to do much in the way of songwriting.

But they had influence, on Aerosmith and other movements.  I first heard of the Dolls on Guns'n'Roses cover of "Human Being," Sylvain Sylvain also played at a local bar and I got his autograph after the show, so obviously I was influenced, but it's interesting how these unknown critical darlings quickly connect to very popular musicians.

The Dolls' first album was produced by Todd Rundgren, who's been part of a number of hits, the biggest one being Bat out of Hell.  Rundgren also spent a decade or so where everybody assumed he was Liz Tyler's father.  He also produced Patti Smith, another critical darling who only critics think is sexy.  She had very little success too, her biggest hit being co-written with Bruce Springsteen.  Notice how all these acts center around New York City and really like degraded sex yet somehow became very influential.  Wonder how that happened.

But Starmer also made sure to give Trump a letter from Charles, asking Trump to do a state visit.  It's Charles so we'll have to wait for William to see any real royalty, but still, everybody in the press conference seemed to realize that this was unprecedented.  Someone who self-identifies as the king of England requesting the American leader for a visit, it must be something big.  Of course Trump said he'd go.  But there's been all these talks with people who claim to support Ukraine in the war, they come to the White House and then this happens.  Something about that seems planned, doesn't it?

This could be fun.  She makes instruction "webinars" to teach illegal immigrants how to disobey the law and avoid ICE.  Border Czar Homan had said there might be an investigation.  Member of Congress assisting invaders to defy the law?  Yeah, I'm sure there's an investigation well-underway by now.

AOC has probably already been met by the investigators, or at least they've set up some sort of appointment or however they handle it.  Can't just kick down her door (unfortunately) but they've made it clear that she is a target and they've got her actions on video.  She can't admit that, so she's pretending to be horrified at the idea that her freedom of speech is being threatened.

Sure, you can say that she really is too stupid to know what she's doing, and maybe you'd be right about that, but I'll just assume that she knows she's lying, she knows she's committing treason and she's totally fine with that.  But her supporters aren't, so they need to believe that her rights are threatened because she self-identifies as a victim.  She may have already given them instructions on how to protect her.

I'm sure this is a fight she can't win.  All the evidence is right there, it would be easy for other members of Congress to go after.  She'll probably never be prosecuted in full, but an equivalent warning will be put out that she'd better shut the hell up about this sort of thing.  That may be what inspired her to send this letter to Bondi.

Any place other than NYC, this would be seen as a step down.  A governor going to mayor, when does that ever happen?  Even with NYC, it used to be just a section of what Cuomo oversaw.  And now he wants to be in charge of it?  Is he just trying to find a place where he can abuse women and kill people because of a fake virus?

Partially it's just how the elites roll.  They always expect to get high-ranking places, especially if family members have already been there.  Cuomo had followed his dad as NY governor, might as well try for NYC mayor too.  Mario Cuomo had run for mayor against Ed Koch, "vote for Cuomo, not the homo."  Maybe that'll work this time.

But Cuomo the younger has the typical connections you expect from Democrats in New York.  He was Secretary of Housing and Urban Development in Bill Clinton's second term.  He pushed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to make easy loans to minorities, starting a financial crisis there.  He helped start the practice of getting what you want by accusing others of racism.  Obama pushed out the New York governor so Cuomo could replace him.  He's even connected to other elites, his ex-wife is RFKjr's sister.

So maybe he's trying to hide from investigation by the Trump administration, maybe New York (city or state) is just the place to go for elites like him.  Maybe he's desperate for attention.  It's not like the voters would be allowed to choose anybody else.
