I actually have more to say but the internet isn't letting me link to any news articles or even look at them.  Is it just me or has it been working worse in 2021 as well?  Start out with how much I've written in the last few years and am immediately forced to stop writing tonight.

Surprised I didn't think of it right away but planes have also had an increasing amount of violence on them and the government isn't bothered by that.  Safe to assume pilots would want out of that mess.

Hadn't realized, aircraft pilots would be the equivalent of ship captains as far as being in complete control of the situation.  The main difference would be that a captain can be replaced on the spot.

The "Let's Go Brandon" meme started on October 2 at Talladega Superspeedway.  Kelli Stavast of NBC Sports interviewed NASCAR racer Brandon Brown who had won the Sparks 300 race in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.  She insisted on hearing "Let's go, Brandon" as the camera showed the crowd chanting nothing of the sort.

The chants had started earlier but this was the first time they got publicity, blatantly false that anyone who listened would hear.  Can't find any response Stavast has made, even explaining why she brought it up in the first place, much less lied to her audience.

What are you going to believe, NBC or your lying ears?

I know that they can't plan everything but I'm not expecting them to remain as incompetent as leftists are.  They can't have been expecting total obedience from here on out, there has to be more of the plan to go.

I'm surprised we still have the internet.  That's an obvious target.  When the truck drivers go on strike, the grocery stores will be quickly empty.  Will they still be blaming "weather" like South West airlines is?

There's the line, don't remember where it's from but it's been around for a long time, saw it recently, but it's something about mediocrity seeing nothing better than itself whereas talent sees where others are better.  I'm not sure it's entirely accurate but it's close, the part about seeing nothing better than oneself.  That would go a long way to explaining leftism, they don't even realize how mediocre they are and demand everyone change because they demand it.  That's how much they love others.  And this lines up with claiming to love someone so much, you'll make them change into what you want so you'll actually like them.

Still slowly progressing on the history project.  That one will take a while.  So now I'm also looking up Guns'n'Roses lyrics.  Listening to UYI last weekend, I got a slight insight of what's wrong so I've been looking at the songs that seem to identify it.  After this, I assume I'll go to Appetite and Lies.  I ain't got nothing better to do and I'm bored.

I've listened to both Use Your Illusions albums twice in the last week.  It's been ages since that's happened.  I'm trying to figure out Axl's lyrics.  I've just looked through the lines of most of his songs and with very few exceptions, they generally make no sense.  There's a few with actual themes like "Yesterdays," which actually has decent lyrics, and "Get in the Ring" which doesn't.  The rest is just hatred of someone for some unimportant reason.

At least "Get in the Ring" actually names people he hates because they're media who didn't suck up to him.  But even there, he flat-out threatens violence against Bob Guccione Jr. ("what, you pissed off because your dad gets more pussy than you?  Suck you, suck my fucking dick!  ... You wanna antagonize me?  Antagonize me, motherfucker!  Get in the ring, motherfucker!  And I'll kick your bitchy little ass!  Punk!") and then runs away when Guccione Jr. tries to take him up on the fight, having had close to a decade of training in martial arts by that point.

He calls out their "bitches with silicone injections" and has a thought "that would be nice, I'd like to crush your head tight in my vice, pain!"  That's someone who wants to make other people physically suffer but never gets known for doing that to men.  Only those who aren't men.

Anyway, I don't plan to listen to the albums again any time soon, but I would have said that a week ago and look how that worked out.  I will still keep thinking about the lyrics though.  I don't know why I'm obsessed with this band now after all these decades.

Just a note on yesterday's post, I also think that Hollywood has long made-up the origins of their stars, where they came from and what they did before becoming famous.  But it's a legitimate question where they actually came from.  Were they part of the 'underground movement' their entire lives?

That is believable, sooner or later they'd have kids and they'd want their kids to get all the privileges' and status.  The kids wouldn't know any other way to live.

In other news, I've been trying to give Guns'n'Roses a rest.  So naturally last weekend I listened to the Illusion albums which I hadn't done for years.  I did generally enjoy them but that's more to do with the band itself.  Even there, it was clear who was the actual problem.

This is more just a note-to-self on what to look up further but so many of the songs were just crammed full of lyrics and it becomes really clear that Axl is not very good at lyrics.  Some of them are better than others but it's just ranting and raving for the most part, sometimes rather disturbing on why the hell he would think this was a good idea.

I'd also never noticed how much he spends singing back-up or making some noise or other throughout the songs.  It's like he won't like a song if he doesn't hear himself so he's got to be everywhere, even when Izzy or Duff are singing lead on their songs.  Even when there's some sort of speaking role, it's usually Axl.

I thought the worst example was from "Breakdown."  I'd always basically liked the song except for the ending and this time it really came through.  The lyrics aren't great but there's nothing wrong with them, they basically make sense.  The melody is decent and the production is very good.  If Chinese Democracy was full of songs like this, it would have been a fun album to listen to.  But there's still that ending.

In 1971, there was a movie called Vanishing Point whom most people have never heard of.  One of the parts was played by Cleavon Little whom most people know as Sheriff Bart who rode a blazing saddle.  At some point in the movie, Little recited this dialogue.  And twenty years later, Axl recited the same dialogue for most of the last minute of the song.  WTF?

Apparently the movie became a "cult classic" somehow.  I suspect it had more to do with elites self-identifying as an "underground movement."  It's one of Steven Spielberg's favorites, Quentin Tarantino, other rock bands.  I don't know if it qualifies as a "group" but I think these people have been doing this for a long time, taking advantage of the rubes while making money promoting their socialism.  Obviously G'n'R would have joined in on that early.  I suspect it's where acts like David Bowie became more famous than they were successful.  The Rocky Horror Picture Show would be another obvious tool to use.

As time goes by, the most successful ones are in charge and they've been dropping any pretension of not being socialist.  If they aren't loud about it, they'll be kicked out of the group.  And they still want to keep their mansions.

I also wonder if this is how they build their self-infatuation and projection, agreeing among themselves that a character in a movie they made is actually gay or black or something.  I've wondered for a long time if that was what E.T. The Extra Terrestrial was actually about.  It was Spielberg's first huge hit (well, maybe Jaws qualifies) and the media loved it, saying it would still be loved after Gone with the Wind was forgotten.  That's not a ridiculous claim, it was a bigger hit than Star Wars, but Star Wars and Gone with the Wind are still here and no-one really remembers E.T.  He's gone.  Long gone.

Anyway, that may have been the first major success of the self-proclaimed "underground movement" in popular culture.  They've had others and I do wonder if it was just the younger generation in Hollywood taking over from their predecessors.  They took all the new technology for granted, it was all they knew.

And so Axl decided to promote whatever this viewpoint was in a song that's not really about anything, as far as we peons can tell.  That's what they're into and they expect us to pay for it, the parasites.

Today I've been looking at Aristophanes' "Women in Parliament" and what I've seen so far - given my reading problems and the fact that I'm not really up on high-society affairs from 2500 years ago - is that it's what we've always had to deal with.  There's the same women stupid enough to believe that men are inferior yet somehow capable of oppressing their superiors.

I haven't gone all the way through it but it's obvious that feminists would be totally in love with it and not think for a second about having the slaves do the farming.  And at least the Greeks lived in a world where (a) there was a lot less population and (b) this allowed for more food from the river and hunting.  No city today could get by with this even if they kept the slaves on the farm.

I suspect this was Aristophanes actually making a point about people who don't recognize basic facts like farming and further, I suspect that at some level, that's why the farmlands have been permitted to vote their own way all this time.  You need a Stalin to take it away from them and he got to have millions of deaths from starvation.

I haven't gotten that far into the story and it is vague.  I'm not much of a theater person anyway and I can't imagine how these performances were done.  But obviously this is where theater started and safe to assume it also includes the basics for movies.

And that's what they've been going after all these millennia.  I think the 'adversary,' for lack of a better word, is the Earth.  "Mother Earth," as they say.

Happy new fiscal year. This will be worse than the last one.

Not sure what I have to say at the moment.  As always, I'll be focusing on the book this weekend.  I really want it to be done.

It's kind of weird, I'm finishing my second book this year, my sixth since the brain-bleed.  Every day I get to experience how far it's dropped with memory, reading and vocabulary, but somehow I'm still capable of writing.  I suspect that's gone down as well but I'm probably the last person who would be able to judge that ability.  As it is, it seems to have decreased the least of whatever skills I used to have.

Just a good example of 2021 following 2020's path, following 2019 and the years before.  Or a bad example, whatever.

Funny how Congress never before claimed other countries had to obey their laws.  They didn't demand Jordan start a "two-state solution" when they ruled Jerusalem, even when they invaded Israel from there.  Like almost all of history, it always comes back to Jerusalem and leftists have always opposed it, with the sole exception of Israel's first few years when it tried to be socialist and was only supported by Russia.

Speaking of Russia, I'm still trying to figure out what possible influence has brought forth the leftism we've been suffering from.  Recently I remembered that the New York Times has always defended their awards for promoting how Russia avoided famine under Stalin which everybody knows was false, millions died from the 1932-33 famine.  They were supporting communist rule so lives didn't matter.

I looked up Walter Duranty who wrote those articles and learned that he married one of Aleister Crowley's mistresses.  He'd been hanging out for a while with Crowley anyway but that made me go WTF???  I've never paid much attention to Crowley's work but what are the odds that these two would ever get together?

But I looked up Crowley on Wikipedia and immediately thought he was like an earlier version of L. Ron Hubbard and then ran into the detail of Hubbard hanging out with Crowley in the early 1940s, shortly before he invented Scientology.  I would definitely cite that as a major building block for whatever this became, cults intent on destroying reality and getting away with it all these decades.

 Then there's their influence in Hollywood.  Kenneth Anger, started gay and movie making very young and he's in 90s now, writer of "Hollywood Babylon" and has hung out with a lot of famous people in and out of the underground movements.  Mick Jagger and Jimmy Page being two notable figures, there are others.

I dunno, it's easy to blame famous people, it doesn't mean they weren't controlled by people who aren't famous, it doesn't mean there's only one underground movement and everyone in it is together.  I'm not really sure what I'm trying to work out and I'm sure not sure of finding anything on Wikipedia.  Is Infogalactic still running?

Don't have much to say today.  I've been working on the book, as always.  Spent 11, 12 hours on it so far today.  Hopefully I'll do more.

This book will be an experiment, I'm actually going to try collecting pre-published material.  I think I see a market where I might make a few bucks.  I'll say more about it when I get finished, hopefully it won't take too long.
