□ [“New York Socialist Running for Congress Wants a ‘Trans Bill of Rights’ if Democrats Win Midterms"]
New York can't even follow its own law on raising minimum wage because the economy is so bad but she automatically thinks she can impose this on everybody anyway. Of course she doesn't give any details, it's just one thing on the list to be imposed, Medicare for all, something about "genocide" with no clue what she's talking about. Yeah, they'll get right on that, as soon as they have total power.
There's no way to know what specifically is going on but Democrats are clearly having a struggle with the trans movement. They need to pretend they care but at the same time, they realize that almost nobody else does. This is the effect of that 80-20 policy Trump has been using to great success. The more Democrats support trans, the less support they get, but they still need it included.
And this is New York, a solid blue state. Even worse, that means the party can't get many candidates who realize this is a problem, they need those who just go along with what they're told. But that means they aren't effective candidates and certainly can't have any personality people might notice. Effectively they're just billboards but you're supposed to vote for them anyway. And meanwhile, New York's economy and crime gets worse because that's how leftists want it.

□ [“California Crowd is Silent as Kamala Harris Maniacally Laughs During Campaign Event"]
The crowd wasn't silent, they did laugh some. Really it's the comparison with her laughter that makes this point. All she said was “Please remember to shower.” A brief chuckle would have been enough but she didn't stop there.
My first reaction was 'is she drunk?' Then I realized that this is usually the reaction people have to a public statement from Harris. Not totally public, the media had been banned from this event - but it's bad when Trump does that - but she does that a lot. Then I realized we ask that about Nancy Pelosi a lot too. And Hillary Clinton. Any others? Then I remembered the case people are currently arguing about where women aren't responsible for what they do when drunk or on drugs. It happened at an elite liberal college, like most of these women went to.
So this made me wonder if even this audience is having a similar reaction to most people from the Cornell incident. Getting drunk could be what Harris needed to go through to get along with Biden or to get a political job in the first place. Hillary could have needed booze to deal with her husband and all his friends. Joe Biden's two living children needed drugs to get by. The more you think about it, the more you realize that these people look like they're doing this regularly. Hollywood stars, they're all involved. Tech companies? Trump's been connected to all these people for decades.
That's what these people could be realizing has been imposed on all of us. The uniparty has a lot of experience with this and are dug very deeply into society so they can't just change their ways overnight. They'd need to purge a lot of these people to make it look like they've learned a lesson. I haven't commented on AOC's recent comment about "woke 2" but it did look like she's signaling that sort of change is underway. It might just be getting rid of the 'old guard' but that takes a lot of work to be convincing. At least if you're sober.

□ [“Marco Rubio Speech in Greece Rejects Globalism, Urges a Fight Against ‘Decline of the West’"]
The problem with being burnt so many times is that it's really hard to actually support anybody. Sooner or later you expect them to fail, or worse, to betray you. Looking back, I said very little about Rubio before he became SoS and most of what I did say was just putting him in a list of candidates to make some unrelated point. Checking my comments in early 2025, they're generally supportive but that may have just been surprise that we'd been able to last that long. Little about Rubio himself.
Which is fine, his job is not be an individual, he's the secretary of state working for Trump 2.0. And I do support that. He's made decisions I don't like - I'm too lazy to look up what they are at the moment - but that's the nature of the job. The fact that he makes a speech like this in front of the Acropolis is a big deal and not just for the US. I assume he's doing something business-related, that's why he stopped by, but he's in Athens, he's at the Acropolis, their history influenced the Mediterranean, and then the world. He pushes for nationalism and for Europe to finally wake up.
Unfortunately we don't live in a world where someone gives a big speech and that can always be pointed to as the turning point where victory became inevitable. Even if we could, I doubt this would qualify. But if we're lucky, it will be another step in that direction. But we really could use some undeniable wins at this point.

□ [“El-Sayed Reportedly Tells Hasan Piker He’s Costing Him Votes As Democrats Sour"]
More internal conflict, only pieces of which we get a peek at so we have to infer the rest. Piker is a "Twitch streamer," or "influencer" I think is the new term. Someone who is paid to post on the internet and theoretically impacts a lot of people that way. And I am totally not jealous. Like, totally. It's the kind of job that comes of as made-up by rich people who think this is how the government is run. They're setting up a 'new media' to get their points out to the obedient masses. I notice this comes out about the same time we're hearing about these 'muslim socialists' and look who we're talking about here.
El-Sayed is running for Senator of Michigan so he needs to convince a lot of voters. The left already believes they're a vast majority so partially they don't need to work that hard and partially they need to check all the boxes and not piss anybody off. El-Sayed already has problems with that, people who don't like socialism, who don't want Muslims in charge. He isn't winning the black vote which is always crucial for Democrats.
Piker is constantly referred to these days but I haven't paid enough attention to know what-all he does. My impression is that he comes off as a generic leftist, just with a racial/religious quirk that makes him "special." He's bought into it, he already sees himself as a huge star, the kind that gets offended when he's not covered in praise and adoration by everyone he meets. No evidence but my impression is people like him are where the stereotype 'do you know who I am???' came from.
Democrats have spent a long time trying to build these power structures. Michigan went for Trump two years ago, it's already problematic that leftists believe everything has changed to favor them now. We can't tell if these two are fundamentally opposed to each other or if it's more about current strategy. Piker thinks he can do this for a lot of politicians and has a lot of influence, whoever's backing him obviously agrees with that. They already know what the public thinks, they just need us to obey.
