Well, tomorrow we'll find out if the left is capable of doing anything.  I'm still ambivalent on at least checking out my local protest.  I am curious but I have a book to work on and the weekends are already not long enough.  Besides, I did drive by some of the previous protests of the last few months and their numbers were pretty low.  

Missouri has already called up its National Guard, other states are probably doing the same thing.  I suspect the biggest danger is in leftist regions, although to be fair, all the protests will be in leftist cities.  They can't exist outside those cities so they're already limited.

This is another tactic although it doesn't seem very effective.  They can riot as much as they want, they're still in prison.  If they somehow escape, there's not going to be a whole lot of people they can turn to for help.  Even the left wouldn't want them around their neighborhoods.  This just doesn't seem to be very helpful either, although I'm sure the left would like the publicity.

Speaking of which, did the L.A. riots suddenly get shut down after the National Guard and Marines showed up?  Just realized I hadn't heard anything about them.  We know the governor and mayor realized they had to pretend they didn't support attacking the public, but did the protestors realize how stupid it looked and go home?  We're at the point where these riots are ongoing, whether anyone's actually out doing them or not.  That's just how life is now.

Don't know why anyone was surprised, I thought it had been obvious for weeks that Israel was going to do something.  My only question was whether it would be big enough for the world to hear or if it was a very direct strike somewhere in Iran which they would keep secret until they couldn't hide the results any longer.  There may still be some of that, the new era of war means bioweapons could be involved.

Israel took out many military leaders and nuclear scientists, as well as relevant sites.  It is also said that they have returned for another round of attacks.  Whether or not the US was involved, Iran will say we were, so they will respond against us too.  It's not something I would fight about to the death but I hope we aren't supporting Israel for the time being.  Something about this "October 7" conflict has just come off as different from usual and I've thought it best if Israel handles things on its own for a while.

But true or not, it is said the US is helping them.  One description I like didn't make us an active participant, but Trump told Iran they had 60 days to negotiate on their use of nuclear power.  Those negotiations haven't gone well and we've just reached day 61, so Israel is free to move forward with their plans.  Trump's the one who pointed that out so I hope it's true.

Iran has responded by sending dozens of missiles to Tel Aviv.  Reportedly defending against them is where the US is contributing.  Apparently the US embassy in Baghdad is also under attack.  Since Iran and Israel aren't close in location, they can't do much more against each other so they'll need to see what allies they really have at this point.  Iran will probably have most of the Middle East on its side, a definite strength, but tyrannies are most at risk when their population has had enough.

Remember a couple months ago when this stuff was a big deal?  We were so young back then.  Nobody even seems to noticed the JFK files and months later, we get RFK.  Apparently there's a lot of documents that indicate Sirhan Sirhan really hated Israel and wanted to shoot RFK because of that.  Why would this be kept secret for over 50 years?

There's also the problem that we really have no reason to believe they've released *ALL* the files on these two assassinations, but leaving that aside, why is this just coming out now?  This just comes off as a pointless waste of time, both the focus on these assassinations and keeping these basic details secret.  Pretty sure it'll be the same thing when the MLK documents come out.

How many classified documents are just mostly-meaningless details that may advance the official narrative for the last several decades but don't really change anything?  That may be the worst part of this (other than, you know, the deaths and stuff) that there's simply no way we can believe this is the full story.  Who were the people who kept them classified and why?

Just notes for stuff I'm thinking about.  Jerry Siegal suggested Superboy in 1938.  He wrote a script for a Superboy story in 1940 but it was rejected.  In 1942, DC did an ashcan comic of Superboy to get the trademark.  In 1944, Robin was popular so they went with Superboy, using part of Siegel's script and it was very popular.  They did not get him to sign a contract for the rights - he was deployed to Europe at the time - so when he sued for the ownership, he did keep Superboy.

There is no record of an ashcan comic for Supergirl although the concept appeared in comics every so often.  It wasn't until 1958 (59?) that they introduced Kara.  They also used Superwoman once in a while but have never made that an ongoing character.  My guess is that they decided that if there was a Superwoman, Superman would have no interest in Lois.  Of course I believe they have a demon-worshipping cult so I have to wonder if they're secretly publishing a Superwoman comic on their own.

The reason for ashcans was because at the time, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office required a physical copy of the work to get a trademark.  This was also used for labels, tags, or packaging to show how a product would appear in the marketplace.  This policy was changed in 1946.

To get a trademark, one sends a copy of the item or specific instructions on how to replicate it.  That's how the trademark police will know whether or not copying your work or if they came up with something similar on their own.  DC needed the name "Superboy" but since they didn't know exactly what they do with him - or "Supergirl" if there actually was an ashcan - they throw some pages together and that counts, as far as the USPTO is concerned.  Seems a bit iffy although that's obviously what happened.

How much time and energy would DC spend thinking about the possibilities before they actually went through with one of the ideas?  And how far did they get?  Superdog?  Supercat?  Supermouse?  Superbeetle?  Superfish?  Supertrout?  Supershark?  Supersquid?  There's also the fact that they do need to reuse their trademarks to keep them.  Someone at DC does have a list of characters to be used and in what order to maintain the trademark.

I did attend my local protest today.  Consciously or not, they are trying to be part of a revolution but they don't seem very effective.  For one thing, there were mostly old white people.  There's just a lack of capabilities here.  You'd think a real revolution would be busy working on their individual tasks rather than standing around in the heat whining about Trump.

 Most likely it was a coincidence that this happened on the Army and Trump's birthdays.  Convenience, yes, but they need to keep these public get-togethers going just to maintain their image.  It's been happening every few weeks anyway, the next one will probably be on July 4th.  Because they're so oppressed by tyrants.

The "no kings" rhetoric is another demonstration of how they're being manipulated.  You can be a dictator without being a king and a king without being a dictator.  So why is this even part of the conversation?  Probably because the left is so easy to control but it's possible there are other reasons which aren't public.

So all in all, it seems like a general waste of time.  I didn't hear much of the speeches, I was busy looking around to see if there was anybody I knew but everybody just seemed so empty.  This was supposed to do something and they were pretending it did but there wasn't any point to it.

We often tell leftists who are so supportive of Palestine or Ukraine that they should go there and prove it.  Well, to their credit, 200 leftists did try to get to Gaza.  However they chose to go through Egypt and those non-white non-western people didn't treat foreigners very well.  They aren't big fans of their fellow Muslims in Gaza either.  Sure, you could have found that out in advance by checking the internet but that's too much like work!

A few dozen have already been deported, the rest are being held.  Unlike western civilization, Egyptians police aren't that nice.  Neither are citizens.  They don't want leftists and they don't want Palestinians who are right there across the border.  But nobody cares that Egypt doesn't let them in, only Israel gets blame.

I usually mock the left for not even noticing that their Muslim allies don't have the same support for gays, abortion or transgenders, but they also aren't fans of immigration.  It's only the western countries the left wants to destroy which allow so many invaders to come in.  Many leftists certainly know that's what they're doing but as we see here, many of them just have no clue until it's too late.

This must have gotten attention on the left, at least when it started.  That stupid European chick who's otherwise forgettable tried to do something similar a week ago, coming in on a boat which was stopped by the Israel navy.  So now at least some leftists will have to ask what they're trying to do here and why.  We'll see how that affects them.

An interesting demonstration how leftism works when it's unrestricted.  Elon Musk supported Trump and bought Twitter so the left rushed over to some other social media.  They weren't going to confront people they disagree with, they wanted to avoid them entirely.  Because...?  Fairness and equality?  Anyway, I don't know how long the posts on Bluesky can be but they're probably not much different from Twitter, which I always found mindboggling.  Who can put their thoughts down in just a couple hundred characters?

But the left loved doing that so they wanted to keep going, but without anyone they disagreed with.  The problem is that as leftists, they disagree with anyone for any reason and on Bluesky there was no filter.  The only people around them are fellow leftists which means they know how to attack each other for anything and quickly drive each other crazy.

There's probably A.I. observing this for the government, studying how these people interact with each other and what effect that has.  And here you go, it's only taken several months but now they're desperate to get away from each other.  If it applies here, the same thing will happen elsewhere, a good example of why leftism doesn't work.

I am curious how much of this is just based on the internet itself.  I'm coming to the conclusion that children should banned from being online, or at least limited very strictly, because it ruins how you deal with real humans right in front of you.  I'm getting very disturbed when I see little kids staring at a cell phone and if I knew their parents, I would start bringing that up.  The basic problem goes back at least as far as television but this is a major issue that severely damages them at exactly the time where they need to learn maturity.

It's not even something I can blame on leftism because of how much time everybody spends online.  Sure, I do it for writing, but is that really much better than how leftists deal with it?  There's also the fact that we really don't know how many of the people we see on-line are real or are 'bots.  It just very limiting to human interaction even when we are dealing with other real people.  I'm not sure there's any way to actually solve this but it is a big problem and is just getting worse.

Still unknown who or what this guy did.  He wasn't a direct Walz appointee, he was on a committee or something that the previous governor had set up and Walz maintained.  He was registered as a Republican voter a decade or so ago, although I have always thought a lot of leftists do that precisely to become RINOs.  He was clearly insane which does suggest leftist but it's probably too soon to be certain.

But the Democrats spent the last few days praising the unidentifiable Senator who broke in on a press briefing by DHS Secretary Noem.  They were so upset that the Secret Service protected her from someone who claimed to be a Senator but had no evidence of it.  This is going to cut that talk down very quickly.

You don't just take some intruder's word that they really are someone important and have authority to break in on you.  This guy was a government employee and was dressed as a police officer [!!!].  The first job of a bodyguard and the Secret Service is to stop anyone from trying to get to their target.  After that you get around to identifying them.  If you're stupid enough to ignore that, they can identify your corpse.
