Of the biggest names from Rock'n'Roll, that means Paul, Ringo, Dylan, Mick and Keith are the only ones left.  Mike Love is the only original Beach Boy left.  Aerosmith is probably the biggest oldest band with all the members still alive.  Face it, Rock'n'Roll is dead.  But then, so is California.

The best and most popular of the Beach Boys work has stood out for sixty years, but I'm not sure how much they really mean to anybody anymore.  Melodic and catchy, that's always a plus, but they're also very short and let's face it, not the most meaningful lyrics in the world.  The vocals and the music are excellent but almost in a bad way.  It's not clear what they're trying to do or why.

"Good Vibrations" probably wins as his best work and it just comes off as throwing a bunch of different sounds together.  Paul McCartney says "God Only Knows" is the best song ever and I think it sounds like a boring ballad and Paul has written dozens of better songs than that.  Wilson also gets credit for production, which is fine, but few people know or care much about that, beyond whether or not it sounds nice.

I will point out that as a producer, the Beatles were Wilson's main competition, and to his credit, Wilson handled it well.  By himself, no less, while John and Paul could rely on each other and George Martin would handle the sound.  They deserve the acclaim for innovation in production but to be fair, the recording technology they were using was fairly new.  They thought of this new stuff but it wasn't possible to think of it five or ten years earlier.

Will there be any tributes to Brian?  A few famous people making public statements, classic rock stations playing a few more Beach Boy songs, anything else?  Just another sign that the old days are long gone and few remember them or care.  That's what Rock'n'Roll as a whole brought to the world.

They were supposed to wait until Saturday which is the Army's 250th birthday and Trump's 79th.  But apparently they just couldn't wait.  They're all heavy liberal big cities so there's several possibilities.  Maybe they just couldn't wait a few more days.  Maybe they were pushed into this as a set-up to get them busted.  Or maybe they're supposed to inspire more people to do something on Saturday.

They're already going after cops with quite a few arrests.  Probably trying to get some martyrs too.  Some people and groups keep being cited as the ones planning and funding this.  I haven't paid much attention to that, just assuming they're rich leftists, but I'm sure the names will be repeated enough sooner or later.  Maybe they'll even finally be arrested.

The media is still trying to insist it's all peaceful.  Sure, and Joe Biden is totally qualified to run for POTUS.  And we'll all die if we're not vaccinated against covid.  The media is not giving much attention to the actual protesters, they don't want to be easily-identifiable.  They'd be pretty upfront about how they want to destroy the country, so that wouldn't help anyway.

This is an attempt and it probably has a lot of international funding and equipment, so we'll see how this goes, but it doesn't look good.  For one thing, it's just not going to be useful.  The protests themselves will either be ignored or they'll be hammered down by the authorities.  Otherwise the most they can do is find more people willing to join in.  From there, they might be able to form organized resistance but come on!  They're still leftists.

They'll have some people who are actually experienced in running this sort of movement, probably with military experience.  They'll have a very small number of people willing and able to learn how to do that, and then the rest who are just there because they're collectivists.  They won't be useful for anything complicated but they will have demands of anyone who has more.  They'll also need food, shelter, internet access, and so on.  This does not have much chance for success, regardless of however much noise they make over the weekend.  ICE and the military are already setting up units in those locations.

I predicted that he would be kicked out by the end of May except maybe on a technicality.  It's nice when I'm right about something.  This was specifically about the strange way he was elected - which no Democrat had a problem with before - and there will be future elections but Hogg will not take part in this.  He lost by just under 75% of the vote, that's a sign that they don't want him back.

It's probably unlikely he'll go anywhere after this.  Obviously he can't do anything in politics unless he starts from the bottom up and he's not going to do that.  Doesn't seem to have any other useful ideas or abilities, so he can't do anything with that.  There's a slight chance he'd get some sort of sinecure job but no idea who would actually do that for him.  Otherwise, he might as well go to plumbing school and learn something useful, but then he'd have to talk to non-liberals.

But then the DNC has to go back to asking how to appeal to young white men.  They just showed that they'll kick them out right away so that's not going to make them look good.  Their excuse for redoing this vote is that they didn't follow DNC rules to elect him and another chick in February.  Why did they ignore their own rules?  Nobody's asking that.

Stuff like this shows that the left isn't going to even bother with a political party.  Whatever their next stunt will be - and it'll probably start with this weekend's protests - will avoid politics.  They don't have the numbers, they don't have arms, they don't have training or skills, but they have a bunch of people like Hogg who think they deserve to be in charge of the rest.

He's still trying to show that he's qualified to lead.  I checked some leftist sites commenting on last night's speech.  They all say how great he was, how inspirational, what a leader.  But no one mentions anything he actually said or did.  They said that about Joe Biden a year ago, look how that worked out.

This speech will probably not be remembered at all, but one reason nobody cites what he said was because it was a while before the audio was working.  This is a guy who thinks he's qualified to be in charge of something and he can't even turn on the audio for his speech.  He doesn't have an organization that can handle that.  He does have a podcast, where are the people who run that?  This would just embarrass any competent leader, but Newsom is from California so you know...

I'm debating whether this was deliberate or it was just a bunch of different goals put together.  Illegal immigration, California, Newsom's career, all blurring together for Civil War 2.0 and this was how it worked out?  Or are Trump and co. going after Nancy Pelosi and her nephew is one way to do that?  It's pretty clear that they did work out a plan and although they obviously can't account for everything, this plan seems to be working pretty well.
