Maybe my posts would be more popular if I had some commercials. Anybody want to buy a cup of Rococo Coffee?

□ [“Disney Forced to Issue Humiliating Statement After Gina Carano Piledrives Them Into Submission"]

I don't pay much attention to Disney Star Wars other than to track the failures, but this was a legal case that had been going on for a while.  In 2021, they fired this chick from one of their tv shows for posting some comment that was mostly-innocuous.  Far less offensive than what Disney leftists openly say but that's why she was fired and they aren't.  Elon Musk stepped in to fund her lawsuit, so here's where it wound up.

They called her internet comments “abhorrent and unacceptable” and stated that they weren't going to work with her again.  Now their public statement is how they look forward to working with her in the near-future and how well-liked she is by all the people on the show they fired her from.  I'm not aware of these people speaking out to support her at any point in the last few years but maybe I just missed it because I wasn't following this.

It looks to me like Disney just gave up.  There was too much evidence that they let leftists get away with saying far stupider things in public and all their attempts to get the case thrown out of court failed.  They're still trying to rush out a Star Wars movie based on that tv-show and starring the actor who just failed as Reed Richards, maybe they're try to get her a cameo.  That'll satisfy everybody, right?

□ [“Texas House Fails to Reach Quorum Again - House Speaker Announces Increased Punishments"]

This isn't sounding good.  Wasn't the deadline supposed to be today?  Whatever punishments you already had in place, they obviously didn't come back so there you go.  But to do that, you need a quorum, a minimum number of members who showed up.  Not going to do anything without a quorum so why are they wasting time on the punishment?

This might be something the executive branch has to handle regardless of what the legislature does.  The Attorney General has filed to remove the Democrats who ditched their jobs.  He's also sued Beto O’Rourke and his organization for funding the runaways, i.e. bribing them.  Parts of this might be relevant, other parts seem like Republicans are putting on a show for some reason.

It's another way of hitting the uniparty and their funding sources so I'm fine with that.  But like everything else, there's no reason to think it'll go anywhere meaningful.  For the last eight months, we've been hearing that something really big will happen any day now, or next week or next month.  It is relevant that one side is still just going to work every day and carrying on with their interests or hobbies, the other side is going apesh*t, but that one side is really not seeing much benefit here.  And I don't even know what Texans are thinking these days.

□ [“Buttigieg Say Trans Athlete Issue 'Complicated,' and Left Goes Nuts"]

He barely said anything.  He totally supports women-with-penises competing against sissy girls-with-vaginas, he just claims to 'understand' why some people might not like that.  He's totally committed to this but thinks he has a chance to be POTUS so he need to at least pretend he cares what others think.  And even that's not enough for his real supporters.  Yet-another example of why the left always fails, you just can't deal with these people no matter how numerous they are.

He's not taking any bold position or showing leadership, he's just saying that you can't totally ignore people who disagree with you.  That's a wussy way of pointing out that the vast majority of Americans disagree with the trans agenda but this popular Democrat is still going to push it anyway.  And his own supporters turn on him for it.  And if you trust polls, he's one of the most-popular Democrats.

They're really going to need the uniparty on their side to have a chance in 2026 or 2028.  And even there it's going to be tough, how many Democrats will actually trust the primaries at that point?  At least some of them will refuse to just go along with what they're told, but will those people be rational or will they be standard leftists who will destroy anything they can reach?  The 'trans' movement won't go away which will just cause even more problems for them.

They'll be hundreds of millions of dollars in debt yet they'll spend all this money on something that few people have ever heard of and fewer actually support.  This is what 'virtue signaling' is and demonstrates why these people can only exist in big cities.  Any other place, people would refuse to go along with it and say 'pay for it yourself if you want it that much.'

Leftist cities are doubling-down on this, all inspired by Trump-hatred.  Last week a white man and woman in Cincinnati were badly beaten by a gang of blacks.  The black government officials are unanimously siding with the violent criminals against the white victims.  The criminals won't be punished, at least not much.  A young man in Baltimore beat up some old people because they didn't support abortion, same thing, virtually no punishment.

This is where the state and federal governments need to step in and, let's face it, cancel funding and revoke the city charters.  We've been hearing comments for a while that California itself needs to be reduced to a "territory" until it's mature enough to actually be a state again.  I never really went for that but the argument is very strong and getting stronger.  These leftist cities and states need to learn the consequences for their insanity.

We are in Civil War 2.0.  So far it hasn't actually gone kinetic but otherwise that's what's going on.  We cannot be part of a nation with those people.  One advantage is that they're so insane that they're driving away their own people.  One disadvantage is they have a lot of supporters in our states and there could be a lot of sneak attacks, especially with foreign allies.  Gotta admit, I can't figure out why Trump doesn't just admit this is what's going on.  It's one reason he's not totally trustworthy either.
