That moment when you realize that three words have shaped the last couple decades of US politics, "anybody but Hillary."

I still don't think Obama thought he had any chance of winning the nomination.  He was putting his name out, he might last a couple rounds in the primaries and that would be it.  He'd go back to the 'vote present' political jobs he always had like the Senate.  Maybe Hillary would pick him for a cabinet post, maybe even as veep, but he was thinking of some future run for POTUS.

But too many Democrats really didn't want her.  Obama did much better than expected and they began to organize around him.  This helped push the *woke* agenda, there were other motivations, but they were all centered around Hillary being the wrong person to unite behind.  Joe Biden tied for first in dropping out of the primaries, that's how much chance he had.

So then Hillary was stuck supporting someone who wasn't her as POTUS.  Yes, she got appointed to a position and was proud to have burned more fossil fuel than any Secretary of State in history.  Can't think of anything else positive to say about that and then she dropped out to do nothing for four years.  She's never been an active politician so that was normal for her.  Joe Biden would have been the obvious choice so somehow they had to find a reason for him to drop out.  Biden never remembers where his son died but that was the excuse they found.  Now the next party nomination was guaranteed.

Except it wasn't.  Bernie Sanders was in the same position Obama had been in and the primaries lasted a long time.  He had even less chance than Obama and I don't think he was ever serious either.  I assumed it was about pushing the *woke* agenda even more, Hillary would just be the figurehead to make the public comply.  But that meant a lot of people had been burned by the time Hillary finally got the nomination.  Bernie had lasted almost two months longer in the primaries than Hillary had in 2008.

And this was where the "anybody but Hillary" meme came into play with Trump.  It's long been noted that she didn't even campaign that much.  Even before her September 11 collapse in public, she was missing a lot of days as the election date got closer.  This time everything would happen the way she wanted.  Whether you like Trump or not, he put in the work.  And he has a better grasp of public opinion, if it's him or Hillary, he's got a lot of votes right there.

At some level it had to be clear to Hillary that she had no chance after she lost here.  Sulks for a day or two before admitting defeat but that's about it.  She probably gives orders behind closed doors but no one has a reason to take her seriously as a politician.  Pushing 80, she's only held elective office twice as Senator from a state she didn't even live in.  Three times if you count the 2016 primary.  To be fair, Trump has only been elected twice but he had to do actual work to get that far.  The Art of the Deal was a best-seller back in the 80s and he made appearances around pop culture, movies, tv, music, comics, even before hosting a game show.

To an extent, I'm sure the Clinton Foundation is still bringing in money from foreigners.  But probably not as much, they don't really have anything to offer.  Bill is old, Hillary's always been lazy and unhealthy, who else is there?  Chelsea?  The foundation can be used to launder money and I'm sure they have connections to worldwide elites.  But Hillary's still not relevant to that either, everything important came from her husband.  Bill may have been the one to coin the phrase 'anybody but Hillary' although that was probably talking about his sex life.

The left had gotten bored protesting ICE and they didn't get anything done anyway.  No illegal immigrants that ICE was going after was saved from them.  But they need to move onto something else so now they get to support Iran.  But this attitude isn't going to work out well.  They need to ignore the War Powers Act of 1973 to claim Trump has started a war without congressional approval, this limits the number of people who could possibly believe them.

But they're ignoring other things too.  Just a few months ago, members of Congress made this big ol' speech about how the military must disobey illegal orders.  Now they claim the orders Trump is giving are illegal but the military is obeying so they'll need to be punished too.  That's also not going to work very well, they can take out Iranian's government and military without breaking a sweat, you really think you can overwhelm them?

They ignored the Iranian government attacking protesters all these months but only now show the slightest interest in what's happening over there.  They're also opposing tyranny but their own protests aren't in the slightest danger.  These are very obvious contradictions and they deliberately stay ignorant of them.  Leaders of the left may find themselves in a similar position to what the mullahs are facing now, they put themselves in this mess and their own supporters are just making things worse.

Another crack in the shell of the elites.  Even the media is defying them to show actual support for getting rid of the Iranian regime?  No one would have expected that.  I will admit that it seems a bit suspicious for people to come out and gather like this.  It looks like it happened on Saturday so they may not have had jobs but it's not something right-wingers would do, so are they immigrants?

They'll need to hammer down on anyone who doesn't  tow the line.  CBS is owned by Paramount who needs to suck up to the Trump administration which just doesn't look good no matter what side you're on.  But all that said, at least there's an urge to put out some real news instead of what the elites want us to hear.  If it's happening on a local station, the higher ranks are having problems too.

At a guess, I think this reflects the difficulties the left is facing after all these years of pushing propaganda on us.  I'm sure you can point to earlier examples but an obvious starting point was 'global warming.'  We're all supposed to be dead by now.  Then there's the trans agenda, there's supporting whatever Democrats do and opposing Republicans doing the same thing.  There's an ever-increasing list if secrets being exposed which the media knew about all along but kept secret from the public.

Not sure if they're just flailing around in desperation or there's an actual plan underway to try to save them.  Probably both.  But this is what the media has brought upon itself, a living example of the old saying about how difficult it is to build trust from the audience but how easy that is to destroy.  It's even worse for these giant corporations which need government approval and are having a big problem bringing in money these days.

Footage of Bill and Hillary's testimony has been released, over four and a half hours of each.  I knew it would be pointless and tedious to listen to, so far I've gotten a little over an hour through Hillary and I was right about that.  I will admit a very slight interest in seeing - or at least listening - to how Congress actually works but it's obviously not going to go anywhere, at least not worth putting up with eight+ hours just to get to a few dramatic moments.

So far the attention is just on Bill defending Trump, or at least saying he wasn't aware of anything happening.  Of course both of them are completely ignorant of anything about Epstein until it all became public.  They're two of the most guarded people in the world and very rich, they'd have a lot of servants in line to stop anybody from getting too close without complete knowledge of who and what they're after.  So ultimately this makes the hearings seem pointless as far as we know.

I'm convinced that it was timed to happen while the fight with Iran was going on but I have no idea why.  I even assume that's part of the reason the Clinton's delayed it for months, or at least Bill did.  Then there's the fact that all the Epstein stuff has been building up to this.  It never gets any more understandable and I doubt these hearings will do anything to change that.  Go ahead, prove me wrong.
