This is one of those Trump stunts that simultaneously cool, idiotic and irrelevant.  I'm guessing it's more about him being the psycho offering a deal, you never know what he's going to do next.  That's the cool part, along with the fact that he's threatening this to get a bill passed that makes voters require ID and eliminates a things like mail-in ballots unless there's a specific reason for them.

The bill also bans funding for mutilating children with transgender surgery.  That's just stupid, why is it part of this bill?  This shows the problem with Trump's threat, if Congress suddenly passes that bill separately, is Trump going to refuse to sign if the SAVE Act isn't passed?

He does have an advantage here, he's an individual handling his side of the negotiations.  Congress is a lot of people and each one has to handle their own groups.  But he still has to get through Congress, they need 60 votes just to end the debate.  If Trump is serious about this, it's similar to a shutdown since he won't sign anything from Congress.  We can think of a lot of good reasons for that but there's still the problem that something else will go wrong.

I'm a little behind on up-to-date methods of picking a new ayatollah but is the previous guy's son really the best choice?  These are trying times and it just seems like you should at least be checking every possibility, not just going with the same bloodline.  The previous ayatollahs weren't related to each other.  I'm ready to make a joke about how this is what separated Sunni and Shi'ite Islam but it was Mohammed's son-in-law that was supposed to be picked so that joke wouldn't work.  Anyway...

We're still bombing Tehran.  I assume Iran is still hitting back with at least some success but haven't seen any reports on that.  We know they still have allies even if they aren't rushing out publicly to help.  There's also a celebration of Iranians all around the world, thanking Trump and Israel for doing this.  In these days of anti-immigration, you can ask why they're still staying here outside Iran.  Or "Persia" rather, apparently there's already talk about returning to that name.

There's more incidents in this, someone reportedly screamed "Allahu akbar" and tried to throw a bomb at a NYC rally.  I assume they're Iran's allies although they might just be on-offs who see an opportunity so they go with it.  It might even be funded by China and Russia because what has BRICS got to lose at this point?  Or rich leftists for the same reason.

This is where it's going to get hectic.  Everybody's in danger so a lot of people will refuse to put up with leftist bullshit.  At least the worst-of-the-worst had a reason to go fight us in Baghdad, that option's off the table now so it can happen anywhere.  It probably won't but that's not going to stop people from worrying.  And since Democrats cut funding for DHS, now they have some problems, especially at airports.  What a coincidence.

The price of gas is probably going to go up but Trump's been pushing 'drill, baby, drill' for over a year now.  One goal is to take immediate control of the Iranian refineries to keep the supply flowing and I'm sure they've done what they can to prepare.  Now we'll get to see leftists suddenly upset about the price of fossil fuels, completely contradicting all their other beliefs just to attack Trump and showing how irrelevant they are to reality.

Well let's get this party started.  Guantánamo Bay has troops on the far side of the island, let's send the Marines on the near side and let them meet in the middle.  Or keep them there to back-up the Cubans taking the real risk.  What Navy and Air Force are available at the moment?  Do I have to plan everything?

Just speculation but this may be the point for the new Shield of the Americas organization Trump has formed.  Since the Department of Homeland Security has suddenly gone away, he moved over the lady in charge to handle this instead.  Not sure if she's being punished, if this is a major task or if it's just a distraction from whatever the real major task is but this could be about overseeing what's going on in this hemisphere, just another term for 'homeland security.'

Europe is where I want to see this.  At least according to the internet, they're getting ready to burst open.  It might actually be harder for them to rebel than for Cuba or Iran but it's where civilization came from so I'm sure all sensible people want to restore it from the decades of leftism.  I keep returning to the Amelia A.I. character singing various songs of British history.  If I spoke French, German or Italian, I'd be going for those too.  This is a rebirth of nationalism in Europe and opposition to tyranny everywhere.  I know I'm being overly optimistic but it's still early March and I'm sure Trump expects some major progress by the Fourth of July.
