□ [“Trump: We Know Where Most of the Iranian Terror Cells Are Located – 'Eye on All of Them'”]
Well he has to say things like that. This is a place where honesty wouldn't actually help, 'we know where an estimated 50% are located'? Even this would bring an obvious question, 'then why aren't you doing anything about them?' But this would have an understandable response, for legal reasons we can't do anything until they're ready to strike. And that's what they're doing.

□ [“Driver Rams Car Into Temple Israel in Michigan, Opens Fire – Update: Gunman Dead"]
Iran has been funding terrorism for decades, now they're telling these people to do something now. Sounds like a good time to invest in security companies. I haven't even been tracking all these news reports but these are the people who will eagerly die for the cause and this is the best option they can think of off-hand. Pretty sure they're all Muslim. Enough of them have been identified that if there are Muslims who don't want to be associated with these people, start doing something about it. Start turning them in before they try to kill people.
□ [“Iran Hits Major International Airports, Oil Refineries, and Commercial Ships"]
Bahrain, Iraq, Dubai, didn't they just apologize for hitting other countries a few days ago? It sounds like they're trying to raise oil prices to hit us as hard as they can. One of their better weapons but it's going to get negative responses on them. Other countries will fight back against the expense and places like China will expect a massive reduction in price.
They're trying other things too. There was just a report that four military drones have been stolen at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Not sure how you could possibly do that but even weirder, it happened last November. And it's only being announced now? Meanwhile Shi'ites in Nigeria are protesting against the US and Israel. Not sure what this will do but it's worth noting that a nation seems to be standing up to support Iran.

I still haven't found any arguments that these creatures aren't basically being funded by Iran and similar Islamic powers. If they can push the infidel far enough, all the sane people will rush towards the truth of Islam for protection. It's quite possible that rich leftists are the ones paying for these creatures but even there, I suspect that they're still being used as pawns.
They're trying to push these people out to kill as many as possible and as we see here, it's about death worship. It might be interesting to look into what ancient societies really believed in made-up genders but the history of civilization has been about getting away from that. These kids here were obsessed with a mass murderer who had also been obsessed with mass murderers. It just keeps growing on itself.
So I think this is both the ultimate goal of leftism and also a weapons used by tyrants to make their own side more appealing. In a strange way, the evil side is more understandable and normal. It's the left who will always twist everything to encourage the evil side because 'diversity!' Death-worship is always looming over their heads, something to be inspired to which will automatically encourage everyone else to join in.

If it wasn't enough that we're suddenly in a war, we're also being hit with A.I. and leftist media making up everything they can think of. I am taking seriously the news articles I comment on but keep in mind there's a decent chance they're completely false. We're getting all this from the internet which isn't always the best source of truth.
I've heard that Iran's constitution appoints the Ayatollah as the commander-in-chief of the armed forces. If he can't speak out, they have no leadership. In some ways that's a good thing but in other ways, Iran might have planned for that and the IRGC is prepared to operate on their own. No one can command them to stop. It's not that different from the threats of abandoned Japanese soldiers in the Pacific that went on for decades after Japan's surrender. They may be prepared to lose but take as many people as possible with them.
Iran is trying to spread this conflict globally. I'm guessing the US military has prepared for that as much as possible although there's no way to know how in-depth their plans can be. The Department of Homeland Security has conveniently just been defunded, I hope the military has plans to take over that without a hitch. In some ways, Trump has already won but in others, the conflict has just begun. If (God willing) the Iranians finally overthrow the mullahs, the worldwide terrorists and their leftist allies will have nothing to retrain them any longer.

Just a note, I'm still trying to think about Marvel and DC Comics' plans over the decades, trying to figure out what they thought they were doing. The concept of "multiverse" has been around for a long time but I've wondered if Marvel and DC have been using that to oversee their respective IPs. In a legal sense, each one was effectively in its own universe.
It's one thing if a company manufactures a tire and another company manufactures a windshield wiper and they send their product to Ford to build a car. It's different in an artistic medium where writers and artists create stories on a monthly basis for characters that go on to make a lot of money in many other mediums. I can't think of any real precedent. You might do books or movies putting characters together, the Three Stooges meeting Frankenstein or something, but those are much less important to the audience or the corporations than the original IPs which remain separate.
The DC characters had specific meetings. They didn't fight each other's villains or interact with their supporting cast otherwise. Marvel was specifically created to be a franchise. Spider-Man met the Fantastic Four in
Spider-Man
#1, cover-dated March 1963, the same month as
Fantastic Four
#12 where they met the Hulk. This was maybe a year-and-a-half after the Fantastic Four had first appeared and they were already meeting.
That much is believable for building a franchise. What I've been trying to figure out is why DC had been rebooting their old characters in the first place. Flash, Green Lantern and Hawkman are the main examples but if you want to update them, why not just keep the original names and redo the characters for a modern audience? It finally occurred to me that this might an issue for copyright and trademark.
I don't remotely understand how that works but Superman and Clark Kent both fall under the same rules. By 1966, those rules were changing, so DC lawyers must have been working on what to do for many years. If nothing else, that's what they were paid for. Most businesses didn't have to think about these things but comics companies needed to keep their trademarks active in other ways. That's when I noticed a few relevant events happening across a few years.
In 1953, Fawcett Comics went out of business. DC had been endlessly suing them, claiming Captain Marvel was a rip-off of Superman. It wasn't but they kept paying lawyers until they had the same effect. These lawyers would have put a lot of thought into what does or doesn't constitute a rip-off. One lawsuit against Fawcett was that an issue of
Captain Marvel
had copied the story from an issue of
Superman
. The court ruled that this story theft had happened but DC had waited too long to sue so it was invalid.
In 1954, the Comics Code was formed. The people who ran the various comic companies all got together to impose decency on everyone. I'll ignore that decision and just point out that these companies now had a reason to talk about the business and how to run things, there's no reason to think they wouldn't have discussed trademark and copyright in the process. They all had lawyers who thought about this stuff, both as protection from parents groups suing them and trying to negotiate with movies, tv, toys, coloring books, international publications.
In 1955,
Mad
the comic book quit and became a
Magazine
. As with the Comics Code, I'm not looking at the decision itself, but this would be considered in all the legal discussions. This is a visual medium so the look is very important. For recurring characters, there must have been discussion about when a parody becomes theft. Or how far you can go without being a theft. There's also the need to keep IPs active by using them every so often.
In 1956, DC rebooted the Flash as a new character with the same name and powers but a different secret identity. It might be based on legal technicalities which few people are remotely interested in but this might be the reason the secret identities were changed. It was a way to reuse the superhero's name as an IP in a different fashion.
This does line up with the superhero fantasy, having amazing powers but needing to keep them secret for some reason. This has always been part of the genre and is extremely nerdy, as well as unrealistic. You have these unbelievable powers and want to help people with them, the costume and the code name are believable to a point but then you go and live two separate lives and nobody ever figures it out? But this self-absorbed fantasy became a selling point for the IPs. And now they could be expanded with different copyrights using the same name. In interconnected stories that took place over years.
Marvel and DC used different policies but the new Flash met the old Flash in "Flash of Two Worlds," cover-dated September 1961. The Fantastic Four's firs appearance was cover-dated November 1961. Flash #123 followed by Fantastic 4? Seriously? The FF did not have secret identities and didn't even have costumes for the first few issues, they were instead generally a rip-off of Jack Kirby's previous DC comic, Challengers of the Unknown.
This would be testing out the legal efforts put into superhero IPs in a company DC had a lot of control over. Not only with the threat of lawsuit but they were Marvel's distributor to the newsstands. They'd know almost as much about what the company was doing as the Marvel publisher, editor and creators. My main theory was that it was just an experiment and if anybody got hurt, it was just Marvel, no big deal. There may have been other reasons but I think they'd been developing this for a long time, on a 20-year-or-so basis.
In the early 40s, the two separate companies that would eventually become DC put their IPs together as the Justice Society. In the early 60s, the rebooted DC characters had formed a rebooted Justice Society, which the DC publisher told Marvel's publisher about during a golf game. Marvel's publisher went back to the office and told Stan Lee to do a rip-off of Justice League and that's when the Fantastic Four were born.
In the late-70s, early-80s, Marvel and DC had started teaming up their characters, and I still want to know why an adaptation of
The Wizard of Oz
was the first thing they teamed up on. Their goal was to do a Justice League/Avengers crossover but that failed to happen. In the late 90s, they started team-ups again and successfully built up to that crossover in the early 2000s. And now they're preparing to do another one, after decades of development on these IPs.
They're doing movies and tv shows which have little in common with the comics characters, or even other movies and tv shows. Many of the main characters get rebooted and I don't pay enough attention to know how long that lasts. It clearly degrades the IPs they've had for so many decades but perhaps they're preparing to lose copyright, or to be challenged by A.I.
There are some obvious contradictions - why does the MCU say it's "Earth 616" when that's what the comics have been for so long? - but an argument could be made that this all falls under the legal definitions of 'multiverse' that they've been using all this time. And that may be why they relentlessly push the secret identity-aspect of the genre, even as they keep switching characters. They've been thinking about this for a long time, or at least their corporate lawyers have.
