□ [“Jimmy Carter Wheeled Outside in Shocking Condition to Celebrate His 100th Birthday"]

Would they know if he's still alive?  None of the camera footage gets that close but there's no shot of him moving.  He's been in a hospice since February 2023 and that's not a place where you're supposed to last very long.  At this point, it's entirely believable that he's been dead for quite a while and nobody is willing to admit it.

And of course his family members say he told them that he wants to vote for Harris.  If there's anything good to say about Carter or his party, it's been completely perverted by those who installed Harris.  If he was capable of saying anything, he'd know that.  Occasionally there's a dead celebrity whose reported as having some political statement as their last words, and somehow this just reported like it really happened.

I'm sure his death will be publicly announced within the next month.  Obviously I also assume this is part of some demon-worshipping cult.  If he's actually alive now, they may have been holding him off for a human sacrifice in the fight against Trump.  Otherwise this all just comes off as depressingly pathetic.

Looking up what the world was like a hundred years ago, there's only a few notable events.  Baseball was having a scandal on bribes and conflict between major league commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis and American League president Ban Johnson.  October 10 is the hundredth anniversary of Walter Johnson pitching what's considered to be the greatest baseball game ever.

Soviets were reorganizing Russia since they had realize that they wouldn't conquer the world any time soon and had to get by with what they had in the meantime.  The League of Nations was trying to demand control over all its members and the POTUS Calvin Coolidge strenuously opposed that.  There's also the first recorded version of the blues classic on October 16, "See See Rider," by Ma Rainey, with Louis Armstrong and Fletcher Henderson.  Armstrong had recently joined Fletcher's band and would make his first live appearance with them on October 13.

But the centennials that stuck out to me most were two births that seem to have had more influence, good or bad, on the last hundred years.  October 10 would be movie director Ed Wood's 100th birthday.  Considering the acclaim he's gotten for several decades, I get the impression this is what the movie medium really comes down to, although granted, I know little more about Wood than we got from the very-entertaining-but--very-fictionalized movie by Tim Burton and Johnny Depp.  A movie like that to celebrate a moviemaker like that is really what the medium is about.

The other birth, the most important event that I noticed when glancing through the events of 100 years ago, on October 3, Harvey Kurtzman.  Few people knew who he was, then or now, but even more than Ed Wood, we live in a world he made possible.  One of the most important comic book creators of all time, his influence far surpassed his ability, or even his own work.

Mad Magazine is at the top of his legendary status, and it's not funny.  One of the most brilliant and original works of comedy in any medium and there's very little to laugh at.  Kurtzman was too slow and demanding to stay, he didn't own the property, so he had to go.  The last few decades was spent doing Annie Fanny for Playboy the rare times he actually did a strip.  There were also his war comics which were better than you might expect.  He also attempted to start comics for adults in the proto-graphic novel form with Jungle Book, which I know I've read but don't remember in the slightest.

Any form of comedy you enjoy, it either came from Kurtzman, or from people who were deliberately trying to get away from what he brought to the world.  And his comedy has underlined mass media since the 1950s.  He had talent, he was productive, but essentially his dreams were too big for him to handle, so he always required a staff of co-creators and a big company paying for it.  That's how it always winds up and he showed it with his art and his life.  This is what we have to show for a century.

□ [“NYC Mayor Eric Adams Likely to be Hit with Additional Charges"]

All the speculation is that this is because he finally got around to opposing illegal immigrants taking over.  I just don't buy it.  He's not the only one who spoke out, but the government isn't attacking everyone else.  *Maybe* they're sending a a signal that they can do this to NYC, but I don't really see that as keeping anyone else from speaking out, particularly if they have no obvious crimes to be punished for.

I get the impression it has more to do with the foreign bribes he's taking.  There's also the fact that this is NYC, so he probably did it with Diddy, or at least people into the same thing.  There's still no evidence that anything is going to be done about this, but it really does look like this is a multi-layered assault on our elites and their worldwide network.

If I'm right and that's what's going on, at some point these suspects are going to snap, probably in many different ways.  Some will run, some will go for nukes, some will attack anybody they don't like.  NYC does have people like that and this may be what's going on here with Adams, Diddy, and even the attacks on Trump Tower, just to name a few.  It will get worse before it gets better.

□ [“NY Times Headline:  'Vance’s Dominant Debate Performance Shows Why He’s Trump’s Running Mate'"]

There's the standard reaction of each side claiming their side won last night's debate, although there seems to be more leftists admitting they didn't win.  I don't get the point of these debates anyway.  This is an internet age, why not just have the candidates tweet each other or do a public zoom call for five minutes every week?  That would work much better if we actually had real elections.

It does appear that Trump made the sensible choice of picking someone who could do a good job anyway.  Harris had to pick someone so dumb that it made her look good, completely ignoring that's why Biden picked her and Obama picked Biden.  Another example of leftism degrading any system that works.  The stolen votes are already being counted, this isn't a point where people are going to change their candidate based on something like this.

It looks like the main takeaway from this debate was Walz' line that “I’ve become friends with school shooters.”  No context, no explanation, just that he really likes people who shoot at schools, which Democrats pretend to oppose.  That's... interesting.

So far he's been asked about that twice today, if he could explain what he likes about them, but he refuses to answer.  That's what Democrats do, where would they be without election theft?
