Looking it up, I was surprised to find that he didn't make the statement personally that these flights were banned and then send some minion to make the correction.  There was the minion, but preventing flights was also a generic DOT statement.  Buttigieg gave the orders but didn't publicly issue them himself.

But he did tweet - or someone using his name tweeted - that there was no suspension whatsoever of rescue and recovery flights in the area and has yet to respond to all the reactions given by people whose flights had been suspended by DOT, including billionaire Elon Musk.  People on the ground know what the government forbids them to do, the guy who gave the orders denies that it ever happened and isn't going to check.  This is what government does.

As days go by, the only help people are getting didn't come from the government.  It's yet another example of how leftists aren't remotely worried about how this will affect the elections.  It's also pointed out that it was probably Trump supporters most hit by the hurricane, so there's no big deal as far as the government's concerned.  This is what leftists do, I just wonder what other advantages they're getting from this crisis.

Amusing.  We're going to see more of this.  Don't know how many Trump supporters there are in NYC or anywhere else, but we are at the point where real Americans have had enough of this.  We also recognize the tyranny so we'll need to be sneaky about compliance with whatever the censorship is.

This will be spreading.  What would our rulers prefer, that people pretend to obey and sneak around with their actual viewpoints or that they're free to express those viewpoints?  A free society would support the latter, but our rulers, not so much.  They need to be more and more obvious about it.

And she's been pushing this her whole life, with full support by Democrats (except for a brief break in mid-2008.)  Things like this make me wonder if the actual WWIII is going on against these elites.  It would explain why they're looking so desperate these days, given all the decades they've spent gathering wealth and power with no one in their way.  Hopefully Hillary will be on the receiving end of this revolution before she dies of old age.  She will be censored.

Because China will be so easy to defeat?  This is why EU members are looking to get out of this deal, realizing how unhelpful their masters are.  Meanwhile the rest of Asia seeing the same problems with the US, they know we're not going to help them either, so giving in to China is the only option.

These elites don't understand what a nation is, so they think they can just put the world under their control.  They all need to go to 'year zero' and erase everything that came before.  How does one even get to that perspective in the first place, much less be deluded enough into thinking they can actually do it?

This is what leftism has always been after, it's obviously a natural part of humanity, but only with the 20th century was it able to become so prominent.  There were finally enough people who were cuddled their whole lives and never had to accept reality at any point, so of course they have no awareness of how that came to happen, much less gratitude.

Maybe Europe is falling the farthest because they had built the most.  The US is their descendent and therefore should be subordinate, which is not a totally unfair viewpoint, but they have become weak and helpless in modern times.  The rest of the world can defy Europe who has nothing left to offer except the fewer and fewer people who remember history.  Sucks to be Taiwan.
