Remember those days when I wasn't always writing about scripture? What was I thinking???

Roughly 3/4 of the way through
Exodus
. I did know that the first half covers Moses and the second half is basically tedious detail about setting up a religion. I've barely started the plans for the tabernacle and it's already shocking how much needs to be covered in gold. That really shouldn't be the only place to worship God, considering He can hear the cry of every widow or fatherless child even if they don't have gold.
But this probably also helped inspire a lot of civilization. Just the fact that it was written down made a big deal. All the kids who had to sit through it, they may not have wanted to grow up and be architects, but it's not a bad example of what the job entails, so they'll know how to accommodate it for whatever they do in their lives. It also applies to things like the laws put down on Mount Sinai, we can figure out how to apply them elsewhere.
I'll get back to the laws after another run-through the text and whatever other comments I have, but one thing that stuck out was the question of WTF Pharaoh is doing? This reads like a children's comic book and I don't mean that in a good way. It's just one example after another of the villain being beaten by the heroes and doesn't learn from the mistake.
First Moses and Aaron show their rod works way better than Pharaoh's magicians. Then they turn all the rivers into stinky blood and kill the fish. Then the frogs show up. At this point Pharaoh says 'get rid of the frogs and I'll let you go,' but turns out to be lying. Then they turn dust into lice. Then they send in the flies.
At any point, a rational Pharaoh would be saying 'get the hell out of my country and don't come back.' His own magicians have completely failed to defend him and it's not like there's any better options. If the Hebrews stay around, they're just going to overthrow Pharaoh and the Egyptians should be doing that anyway.
It's one of those things that make you ask if this was just how life was back then with the frogs and everything. You know, back when everybody lived for hundreds of years. It's even been specified here that Moses is 80 years old and Aaron is 83. Young bucks. So then all the cattle start dying from some disease, as do the horses, the asses, the camels, the oxen and the sheep.
Then there's a pestilence. Then there's rain and hail. Then there's fire. Pharaoh keeps saying he'll let them go but then changes his mind. I'm actually having fun speculating what on earth he was thinking but there's certainly no answer given here. Some religious war against the gods of Egypt is the best answer I have, so he can't give up no matter what. Or by the same token, this is just a show the Lord is putting out for the rest of us, the readers. Who would know better?
So then there's the locusts, but Pharaoh promises to let them go and changes his mind again. Even his servants are begging him to let the Jews go and he doesn't listen. If the people who keep you from being assassinated have a problem with your decisions, it means you're making bad decisions. And all of this started when the Hebrews wanted to leave and you wouldn't let them. Anybody have any wacky solutions to this? After all, we've gotta keep our first-born sons alive.
So if you've read this far, you know what happens next. And Pharaoh *finally* lets them go. But first they celebrate Passover because
duh
! Then they leave. But they can't go the convenient way, that would mean Israel going through the land of the Philistines. Instead they go to the Red Sea.
The Lord has specified multiple times that He's the one hardening Pharaoh's heart, and says it'll happen again. Meanwhile the Hebrews keep whining to Moses that there's no food or water. This happens often enough that it's basically the same problems they put Pharaoh through. But Moses has a rod! [I'm being a bit sarcastic,
most
of the people's complaints come after Pharaoh is beaten.]
The big splash was quite entertaining and I already knew how it would end. I've spent most of my life surrounded by books and comics and VHS tapes, just imagine how reading this was much more dramatic for people who spent their whole lives without any other book at all, not even youtube vids.
Very well done, even if it gets a bit annoying when the people need to remind us of what we've just seen. 'Remember when the enemy was saying 'let's get 'em!' and then you brought in that wind? That was awesome!' 'Remember when He did that thing with the water and the sea, but it didn't happen to us? Wow, man!' I get the point of repetition and reminding the audience but there's a bit too much of a good thing.
Then a woman shows up. She's Moses' sister. Or at least Aaron's, I don't know if this ever gets explained. But if you don't have Pharaoh as a recurring enemy, here's a new one. The girls dance and they get into the important things, wandering around a desert for 40 years, eating magical food that rots if you don't have all in one night, and designing a tabernacle.
There's more to this which I'll get to at some point, but I really wanted to get down these thoughts on the simplemindedness of the fight against Pharaoh. None of this even accounts for the fact that their ancestor Joseph is the one who set Pharaoh in place to do this. It's not clear if any of Joseph's sons are still alive, but grandsons are, Reuben, Simeon and Levi are specifically mentioned. And they did bring Joseph's bones with them on this trip. Just look at what Egypt has been through while he was there.
So it was a very enjoyable read. I doubt the remaining books will be as entertaining, given that they're mostly dry details about building or laws, but you can obviously see the inspiration this material has brought over thousands of years. Just from a 'story' perspective, it's been very interesting how it just gets more and more fascinating, gripping the reader with what these people will do next. Remember those wacky adventures of Noah and his sons, or Abram and Lot? Or Jacob and his brother Esau? Modern franchises would have made it quickly get pointless, even if it wasn't *woke,* yet this retains the narrative and builds on it. And that's where civilization came from.

□ [“Despite Polish PM Tusk’s Pro-Ukraine Efforts, Farmers Block Border Crossings, Infuriate Kiev by Opening Carriages and Destroying Grain"]
So basically all the so-called leaders of nations around the world were appointed by the 'new world order,' and most of the people are getting ready to fight back. Is there any place that permits elections that can be trusted at this point? Have to wonder how the people who died from "suddenly" are all voting these days.
So when will this actually make a difference? The rulers are all getting food from somewhere and they're all surrounded by men who are permitted to have guns, unlike the populous. Obviously I care most about the nation-formerly-known-as-the-USA so when are American farmers going to take part in this? And why is there no news about truckers and New York City?
This makes me wonder if the point of the Russia/Ukraine thing was to give the rulers an excuse to oppress their own people on behalf of another, because that's what "nation" means now. You have to give up everything because the rulers who never go without say so. They were probably chosen specifically because they wouldn't stand up for their own nations. Except for China.

□ [“Biden Peeved When Reporter Asks if He’s Going to California to Come up with Plan B for 2024"]
Of course not, that would be work. Nancy Pelosi's nephew is just going to have to wait for orders. That said, I've noticed that they seem to be pretending Biden is coherent enough to travel more these days. The first couple years, they could use the excuse that we still had the pretend-virus Biden promised to end on Day One, but that doesn't work until the next virus shows up, any day now.
But back then, he didn't even need to campaign for the same excuse. Nobody had to put up with how senile he was and the media was able to edit video and lie about it. That's not the case anymore. He's clearly not capable of campaigning but somehow they have to pretend he's capable of being POTUS. It's a good thing they've got the elections rigged or they'd be worried.
Even for some leftists, this isn't working. There's more and more rhetoric about how Biden should step down. Maybe I'm just not paying attention to the source material, relying on posts other people make about it, but none of the media seems to be saying he should enjoy his old age and his great accomplishments, particularly how he fixed the country after Orange Man. They're willing to puppet every other lie, why not that?
He's not capable of doing a Superbowl interview where the hardest question would probably be who his favorite player is. We've had several long federal holiday weekends in the last few months, he could have been hitting all the media for that too. But there's nothing. This is where I have to believe the rulers have a plan because otherwise they'd be desperate. Maybe like LBJ, he'll announce that he won't run again before the August convention. That's all I can think of.

□ [“Engoron’s $350+ Million Verdict Against President Trump Spells Doom for Business in New York"]
Anyone else thinking of the end of
Atlas Shrugged
where they're leaving NYC and see the lights go out? Or the Billy Joel song of a similar theme? I get the impression that this is getting ready to happen. We'll find out if New Yorkers feel the same.
Equity funds and investors are already turning away. I'm still waiting to hear anything about the truckers. If they started yesterday, we should start hearing about shortages by tomorrow, although that doesn't mean the media will say anything about it.
The banks must be worried too. They testified in court that Trump did nothing wrong and paid back whatever loans he got, but the leftist judge ignored the truth to declare him guilty. New York's governor insists that this won't happen to anyone else, but a month ago she could have said it would never happen at all and been just as truthful. She did mention that everybody else does the same thing, so they've got all the excuse they need, and the judge said of others did the same thing, they'd be punished.
They've been projecting their own tyranny onto Trump for years. They've been accusing him of insurrection and didn't even have enough proof to get this far, but they finally made something up and were able to push it through a corrupt judge. More stuff is coming out about Hunter Biden and it's clear he'll be protected by the same policies. The laws only apply to those the judge says and they aren't the elite rulers.

□ [“Male Student Who Identifies as Female Injures Three Girls in Massachusetts Basketball Game — Opposing Team Forfeits"]
But the losing school still announced how much they support diversity and inclusion, even as they sent their teenage girls to the hospital. That shows the priority of these creatures. You can do whatever you want to a 14 year old girl as long as you're a woman-with-a-penis. They just have to shut up and take it.
This is what feminism leads to. Boys are expected to stay crazy to the point where they need to be girls if they want to succeed, and then they prove it. This is why adult men are increasingly unwilling to have any part of that, and realize how much time and money they can save in the process. Women claim they can do anything a man can do, but when they need a plumber, they never call a woman. We're going to see this for real when the collapse finally happens.
There's also an increasing list of people who went through the transgender surgery at a young age and a few years later, regretted it. There's going to be a lot more of those coming up, even if society doesn't collapse. They've already proven that they aren't capable of doing anything else. Maybe the next leftist movement will be that they're entitled to food and a place to live from their young age until they die.
But just taking part in this is monstrous. I don't have anything to say on whether the transgenders themselves should be allowed to survive or not because I'm thankfully not involved in that, but we need a Nuremburg Trial 2.0 for these fiends who made this happen.

□ [“Biden Tapping Brakes on Push for EVs"]
Just for the moment, after they steal the next election, Biden can order everybody to buy an electric vehicle. Or if they're really cautious, they can steal more elections and Congress can write that law which Biden will then sign. They've got investments in China to make the vehicles and probably in Africa where the child slaves mine the minerals required. They're not going to stop, no matter what.
But still, it's a sign that something is changing in the ruler's official narrative. Obviously nobody's going to mention that. Biden promised to get rid of fossil fuel vehicles back when he made semi-public appearances. Even his spokesmen won't be asked what's changed, it's just accepted.
□ [“American Red Cross Requires Covid Vacc Recipients to See if They’re Still Eligible for Blood Donation"]
But the tides are still turning. *WHY* would there be anything wrong with the vaccinated giving blood to others? What's wrong with their blood? The vaccine was totally safe so
that
can't be the problem. They're still pushing the booster shots now even if very few people actually want them. Or ever wanted them, but the tyrants gotta have.
Whatever's changing in the public mindset, it's too vague to explain. We can point to details but that's not an explanation. It certainly looks like leftists have gone too far on every level and it's time to
eradicate them
tell them to go sit down in a nice comfy chair and let the big boys handle things. I really want to believe that, but they must have back-up plans and at least a handful of armed defenders. It's going to get bloody and you can't even go to the Red Cross for that.
