If the police are defunded, how will gun control be enforced?

It's been a long day so far.  Haven't even checked the internet for news.  I won't go into any details, but I will say that if none of a zillion things go wrong, I've accomplished several important things today.

Now I just need to figure out where I put my phone charger.

Everything is "white supremacy."  Everything is "infrastructure."  How the hell did they get this into program to brainwash their supporters?

They won't have to put up with that nonsense global warming stuff either.  And they can send cars back into the US because there's no border anyway.  Democrats really know how this is working, don't they?  It's similar to Biden stopping the pipeline that brought in oil from Canada.  Now they're just going to take it to the coast and put it on boats to China who will continue killing the planet as liberals have always supported.

There must be less to life than this. We're finding that out every day.

I will be taking a little break after today.  Hopefully you won't notice and I'll continue posting every day, just a heads up in case I don't.

Just noticing that 50 years ago, the Weather Underground was into bombing and destroying the nation, just like their successors.  Bill Clinton pardon some of them on his last day in office and founder Bill Ayers made sure Obama won the election.  They've spent all these decades getting rich and (if they wanted) famous, so they could control the people.  They know best, they say so and you can't disagree.

□ [“Biden Justice Department Weighing Domestic Terrorism Law to Target ‘White Supremacists’"

They don't need Congress to make laws and know everything they need to know about a person by skin color.  There's already talk that Biden's claims about taxes are out the window, he's going to start charging a lot more people a lot more money.  One assumes Democrats won't be included in this, but everyone else will.  And businesses will be rising their prices so normal living will be more expensive.  Fortunately megawealthy Democrat donors will be getting their state and local deductions back.

They've been pushing this for decades, pushing ignorance and easy-to-manipulate emotion upon each new generation.  Some of the ones in charge know what they're doing, the rest know nothing and that's the way they want it.  Willful ignorance of reality only works when you have men with guns imposing your wishes upon everybody else and that's not really working.  The left has only been able to get away for so long because intelligent men built a land of plenty and there were women who wanted it.  It's going to drop any day.

Get food, guns and connect with people who can watch your back as much as you watch theirs.

Ok, there's the next step.  They're going to start raiding Trump supporters.  Whether or not anything criminal is found - or forged - the media will loudly proclaim their guilt for months.  Is it just a coincidence that he was NYC mayor on 9/11, the 20th anniversary is coming up and that's the date Biden plans to surrender to terrorist Islam?

□ [“Joe Biden: Jan. 6 was 'Worst Attack on Our Democracy Since the Civil War'"]

Or maybe he has no idea what 9/11 was.  It's possible he didn't know then but if he had any working brain cells, they're gone now.

On the other hand, perhaps his scriptwriters are fully aware that it was the day Democrats completed their election theft and total obedience by the media and their ground troops.  I've assumed our Republic has been gone since then and doubt I'm the only one.  And apparently Biden is going to speak to Congress tonight.  How nice.

And he's getting ready to ban cigarettes.  Media agents are banning meat recipes.  People don't get to make decisions for their own bodies.  Democrats love that.

It's just a show, he's obviously still on their side.  He just has to pretend he gives a shit about his citizens being torn down by his supporters over his policies.  It's not all that different from California Democrats saying they want to get rid of Governor Newsom.  It's not going to happen, he'll stay until he feels like leaving and that's not going to be any time soon.  What are they gonna do, he already proved how successful their votes were last November.

Just bouncing around now.  I'm going to be busy soon but hopefully I'll still post every day for as long as I can.

I've just noticed one of those "Pitch Meeting" Youtube videos covering the latest MCU release, a miniseries of the Falcon and Bucky.  It definitely takes from a Captain America storyline I read an issue or two from back when it came out, but the most surprising part was that it takes place, at least partially, in Madripoor.  That's the made-up Asian city Wolverine hung out with alot, actually a clever bit of subtlety in bringing the X-Men into the franchise.

How do they work that stuff in?  They have to know that movie watchers are familiar with the X-Men movies, more or less, at least the ones that were hits but also know that movie watchers don't really care which studio made which movie.  The movies weren't part of the MCU but people will generally be familiar with them, so how do they merge them?  I've heard that there's something involving multiple dimensions in some of the movies - or maybe it's just Hollywood people babbling in interviews - so are they trying to do that?

I've been pondering what Hollywood is trying to do and I assume it's some sort of brainwashing but that doesn't give any clues on how or about what.  The multiple dimensions might be a way of trying to ignore "reality" but that would require all the big studios to be involved, to comply and to silence any disagreement.  Everyone makes up their own reality but we all have to obey theirs.

Just a thought.  Otherwise, I'm still going through the Facts of Life, getting to the point where I either have to quit or have to watch episodes I haven't seen in decades.  I've also listened to a bit of music, mostly Jim Steinman, but also including "Hurrian Hymn," the oldest known song in the world, written around 1400BC in Ugarit, Syria.  There was other music found there in the 50s but it wasn't remotely readable.  But this can be played on lyre and it's better than modern music anyway.

The golden goose is racist. Kill it.

Working on the book as always.  God willing, I just need to do editing and I'll have another one.  I'd like to do at least one a year and wasn't sure I'd get one in 2021.  I've put it in the usual format and wow, since mid-December, I've written enough for another book.  180 pages but I've done shorter than that.  I'll write more while editing and that's not counting the stuff I wrote prior to last December which might be used.  It's not even counting the stuff I've written in the last few days.

□ [“Ohio Black Lives Matter Militants Threaten Police Assassinations, ‘They Shoot Us, We Shoot Them’"]

You'll shoot people even if they don't shoot you.  That's how black gangs operate.  That's why so many blacks get shot every year.  Of course you don't object to that, you're just obeying your masters who want to use force and fear against the masses.

They have to fool everybody to follow them or send men with guns to anyone who disagrees.  Maybe they think China and Iran are going to save everybody.  Wouldn't surprise me if they're that stupid but they haven't paid any attention to the problems going on for decades suffered by the Chinese and Iranian people.  The rulers have only lasted this long because of US support.  There's nobody going to give the US rulers any support.

It's just surprising that there isn't a law forcing American citizens to buy her book.  That'll probably come along soon.  The money goes to her as you'd expect for leftists.  They're totally against personal gain except when they're the ones gaining.  I'm blanking on the word, not "bribery," not "exploitation," but something they always accused Trump of doing without any obvious proof like this.

And no other nation will be there to save us.  This is where freedom died.  Ayn Rand saw it coming.

I'm getting ready to be busy, since working every waking hour of the day wasn't enough.  I'll definitely keep trying to post every day although I dunno if I'll be able to do more than headlines.  It's amusing that this happens as I finish the biggest step on the "History project" and I find out that, God willing, I can do my next book.  So I'm doing less on the former right now, partially because I need to re-work how I'm going to handle it and partially because it's just a lot of work on very tedious material, and I'm paying more attention to the latter, trying to work out what material I'll use so that I can get on with editing.

Nothing else to say at the moment.

When the movie's over, turn out the lights... turn out the lights... When the movie is your special friend, dance on fire as it intends...

I finished the next step of the "History project," now everything has an actual date.  Now I'm back to a very long step that's hopefully nowhere near as long as what it took to get to this point.  I have to eliminate duplicates, merge lines that are similar but not duplicates, and now I can start looking for patterns.  This is the last major step, I think, as far as I can tell at the moment, once I get past this my "History project" will work as reference.  I haven't decided if I'll actually publish the results or just keep it for personal use.

God willing, I am reaching the point where I can publish another book.  For reasons I won't get into, I wasn't sure I'd be able to do one in 2021.  I've obviously been writing, I just wasn't sure the publishing would be possible.  But now it looks like it can and will so I'll have to start thinking about editing.  My reading is still below standard, even for my own work, but this is what I do.

This is a joke.  It's from a humor website.  You may not believe me but it really is true, that's where I got it from, it's not a real decision by real people.  I know, there's plenty of other things like that going on, why not one more, but it really is a made-up joke.  Trust me.

□ [“Senate defeats legislation to ban discrimination against Asian-Americans in higher education"]

On the other hand, this is real.  You can tell because Democrats have always enjoyed discrimination based on skin color.  It's what they do.

And oddly enough, that's what they enjoy falsely-accusing others of doing.  Sensible people used the phrase "I'm rubber and you're glue" as children but grew out of it.  Leftists didn't grow up.  You can see this not only in how they judge people on skin color and say others are bad for that, but how their leaders live in mansions and pretend to support equality, how they've always whined about large businesses and claimed to support small businesses and now that they have the chance, use large businesses to destroy small business.  Not to mention attacking people and burning down buildings because they want 'peace.'

□ [“Biden’s Climate Requirements: Cut 90% of Red Meat From Diet; Americans Can Only Eat One Burger Per Month"]

Does this rule apply to women too or is the 'right to choose for their own body' just garbage that leftists use to get power for themselves and no-one else?  They never even notice doing this.

Just a note of something I saw in a Facts of Life episode - yes, I'm still watching those - where a 1984 episode involved Natalie using a computer to access to a competitor's computer and Jo using that to sabotage his recipes.  They're using the internet in 1984.  I know it existed at the time - there was also the movie War Games which I know I saw once upon a time and a tv show I'd never heard of called Whiz Kids that involved the same concepts.  Time Magazine even made computers the Man of the Year in 1982.  They may not have had a clue where it was going, but the elites knew the internet existed.

I was a bit late to the whole concept even though I did have early access.  As a gifted child, there were some years where grade school didn't have anything for me to do so they stuck me on a computer.  No internet there but it wasn't long after the Hollywood productions I just cited.  By the end of the decade, I had known someone with internet access, even if that term didn't exist yet.  Being in our early teens, it was mostly to look up porn but one would think that would inspire a growing boy.

I did take a computer class in high school and regularly accessed the computer lab in early college years.  But it wasn't until the later-90s that I started getting online at all.  I recently found printed copies of emails my Dad had sent me from those years so I was obviously involved then.

So anyway, Hollywood was definitely promoting the internet from the early days - I assume earlier decades had earlier versions as well - and like everybody else, I eventually got involved.  Hollywood has obviously been promoting their desires for decades and I've been wondering what else is part of it.  The last time I saw Avengers 4, I had a vague impression of leftist nonsense they were promoting.  Not enough to bother taking notes but I'm still pondering Hollywood, even without paying much attention to anything they've done (beyond Avengers and Facts of Life.)  It gives me something to think about.

You take the good, you take the bad and now our bodies are oh so close and tight, I can see paradise by the dashboard light

I've been a good mood recently.  Won't say why, no idea how long it'll last, just have a brief moment of not being hopeless and miserable.  Of course that means I'm not sure what to write at the moment.  Haven't looked up headlines, let's see what's there.

□ [“University of Cincinnati researcher: ‘Intelligence is a White man’s mythology’"]

How stupid do you have to be to think that?  And to say it out loud?  It's quite possible that intelligence was the first discovery that would lead to acknowledgement of the human individual given that not everybody has it, and she's blaming skin color for the false concept.

□ [“For the Sake of Racial 'Equity,' Virginia Cancels All Advanced/Accelerated Math Classes, and Will Make Everyone Learn as Slowly as the Slowest Students"]

And so they lower the standards and don't even have a clue how that works in real life.  Of course they won't hire or appoint anyone who disagrees with them so the standards just get lower and lower.  Inability to recognize individualism only goes one way.  If ignoring reality was so easy, that's how they'd be treated but funny how they never want that.

Another news story says that the plan is to spend at least $20 billion on making all federal vehicles "electric," including the military.  One or two lost battles would be enough to throw that idea out the window along with whoever thought of it.  Our enemies know how to work with this, their peons who've stolen the American government don't have a clue.

□ [“Another Humiliation on the World Stage: Idiot Joe Biden is the Only One Wearing a Mask During Virtual Climate Change Discussion with World Leaders"]

This is a good example.  None of the others would have gotten where they are without intelligence.  Biden wouldn't have gotten where he is now if he had any.  He's told to show it off to the rest of the world what a puppet he is and obeys.

□ [“'It Will Be Bloody' – Philippines’ President Duterte Threatens to Send Naval Ships To West Philippines Sea as China Threatens"]

I'm going back and forth on how war will start.  On the one hand, there's no point since Biden will just obey and only send men with guns after Americans but on the other hand, anyone who actually knows history recognizes that incompetent leaders get thrown out pretty fast when war gets going and he'd be the first one on the firing line.  But there's also the fact that, technically, we're there in defense for the countries they'd want to invade.  There's also the fact that the leftist administration has always shown willingness to toss allies aside in favor of the enemy.  Then there's the possibility of nukes.

Jim Steinman, ‘Bat Out of Hell’ Songwriter, age 73
April 19, 2021

Sirens are screaming and the fires are howling way down in the valley tonight.  Not for the normal reasons but Jim Steinman is gone.

I don't know what to say.  I've been listening to him a lot recently but that's typical when I get in the mood for music.  He was able to make rock'n'roll songs into epic works.  They start off fairly straight-forward, ballads or standard rock, but they just kept going and couldn't be restrained like generic pop songs.

It's not clear if he would have had any success without Meat Loaf.  He didn't have much without him, but the two Bat Out of Hell albums are enormous successes.  Then there was the reputation.  Singers have to be good to make those work.  Music lyrics aren't known as working on the level of literature - well, they aren't accurately known that way - but his are on the higher end of the scale.  "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" is about as good as it can get in extensively detailing human nature.  And it has a catchy melody too.

I don't know if it's the brain bleed or what, but I've been thinking about existence, formed in far more levels than we can perceive of.  Steinman's music was definitely very high up on whatever levels he was working on.  Even if he wasn't selling tons of records most of the time, he definitely influenced other musicians.  In 1978, Meat Loaf gave a show for CBS executives soon after Bat Out of Hell came out and hadn't been selling  a lot, Billy Joel led the standing ovation as it finished.  Obviously a lot of that would be for Meat Loaf but Billy Joel had more than a clue how important songwriting is for performance.  If he wasn't a superstar yet in 1978, he was getting close.

And so another one is gone.  I'll kill him if he doesn't come back.

If they bring a knife, we bring a gun. If they ban guns, we're helpless.

Remember when everybody who voted for Hillary instead of Obama was racist?  That's the real virus we're facing.  Since then, it's only grown, especially in places that Democrats have run for decades if not longer.  If there's really such a thing as "systemic racism," they're the ones who made it.  You can see that by how little interest they have in blacks killed by blacks, which has only been shooting up rising in recent years, not to mention the millions of blacks killed by Planned Parenthood because they weren't human and had no right to live.

□ [“Woman Executed in Broad Daylight in New York City"]

Right in front of a camera, the woman is black, her killer looks black and used a gun.  This will be completely ignored although you'd think the left would be screaming about punishing the killer and possession of guns.

These cities have been run by leftists for ages, their city councils have been leftist for ages, their government officials are leftists, they're the ones who've made the laws and train police to enforce the laws, this is the natural outcome.

"Your punishment for having a knife when they searched you would be very different from the thief's.  For him to have a knife would be mere misbehavior, tradition, he didn't know any better.  But for you to have one was terrorism."
 - Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn,
The Gulag Archipelago

And they sure don't object to how China treats Tibet and the Uygher Muslims.  They know who they work for.  They're not going to get police who protect and serve, they don't want that.  They want obedient men with guns to enforce their power on the masses.  Because socialism.

Look at how contradictory they are by insisting 16 year olds can vote and 6 year old can decide what gender they are for chemical castration, but they aren't remotely smart enough to know when not to attack someone with a deadly weapon.

There are still attempts to recount the election ballets.  That's not going to do anything, all the votes for Trump were almost certainly destroyed and it wouldn't surprise me if they continued forging Biden votes for the last six months.  They're fully prepared to tear everything down, even tossing out the Constitution to make Washington DC a state.

□ [“Revealed: The FBI Classified the 2017 Baseball Park Attempted Assassination of Republican Congressman Not a Case of Politically-Motived Extremism, but a Mere... Suicide Attempt"]

So it's safe to say that this has been going since January 2017.  The government officials didn't go for their new boss, they work for the old one.  I think we can include the courts in that.  I also saw some article today about the Post Office spying on people and I've noticed that they seem to be turning against the people in favor of their masters.

I've got a few things on my mind at the moment so I'm not sure how much posting I'll get done here.  It's actually a positive thing and maybe I'll get into it sometime later.  Or maybe I'll leave you in ignorance for the rest of your days, who knows?  Not me.

As I go through the "History project," I do notice that there seem to be a lot of these through history.  Of course I'm blanking on names right now but I see a number of people or events that sure look like previous attempts at what we're undergoing now.  I think it's safe to say this is why God created humanity, probably as a lesson to some power higher than us but below Him.  The "Gaia" stuff of the last half-century could be who this is for.

Never mind, I'm not going to add anything more.

20 April, 2021

Steal one government, you've stolen them all.

Well, they can steal elections and threaten violence if a jury doesn't vote a certain way, they can obviously steal courts.  I have been wondering lately if there's some hidden aspect to the court system and the left has been all in on that anyway, it's just odd how every judge automatically refuses to even look at the election thefts.  The judge here didn't even want the jury to be moved someplace safe.

So of course the jury here didn't take any time to get to the verdict they were told to get.  They weren't going to hesitate to tell the mob what it wants to hear, they aren't suicidal.  Now there's a chance that their homes won't be burned down with them inside.  Only a chance though.  I haven't bothered to check yet if the violence is going on anyway.

I don't know what else to say at the moment.  Obviously 2021 is much worse than last year and it's not going to get better.

If you can read this, you aren't accomplishing anything. What a loser you are.

Not planning to post anything at the moment.  I'm really really close to ending the current step of my "History project" and I want to focus on that as much as possible.  I woke up around 12 hours ago and have done very little other than this.  I'm starting to doubt I'll get it finished tonight but I want to keep working.

17 April, 2021

China's in charge and we never even voted for them.

The opening title track is the closest we get to actual G'n'R-sounding music.  The lyrics don't go anywhere but that's never a complaint from me, they're vaguely about China.  The downside is that the song just ends without going anywhere, sounding like boring late-90s rock.

The next song - so far I'm going to be deliberately lazy and not look up the titles so if they aren't memorable or even mentioned in the lyrics, that's on them - is obviously not G'n'R.  It may be part of modern technology in music, there's no sense that people are actually playing anything and using real talent, they could just push buttons and achieve the same effect.  And the track keeps breaking up into points that have nothing to do with each other.  Why are they even there?

The opening of "Better" is irritating but then it turns into a decent rock-sounding song.  Bucket's guitar-playing is actually annoying, it's really fast but doesn't otherwise do anything.  Slash can do that and actually play something interesting, check out "November Rain" and "Estranged" if you don't believe me.  Then it returns to the irritating ending.

"The Blues" (I think that's what this one is, might as well use the title it had all those years instead of the sudden change when the album was released) opens ok.  We know Axl is whining about Stephanie after nearly two decades but he's just keeps going after "you" and it also is annoying.  This is probably my favorite song on the album, it's the closest to a basic rock ballad.

"If The World" sounds like a 70s movie soundtrack.  There's no point to it and there's no reason Slash and Duff couldn't have done it.  I guess Axl's vocals do stand out and not even in a negative way.  And the track does sound more like an actual song than I expected.  Who knew?

The next song is also one of the better ones on the album but despite the fact that Axl isn't remotely silent for even a second, I have no idea what the title is.  "There Was A Time" finally shows up, before there's finally a break in the singing.  Then he just sings over and over "I would do anything for you / There was a time."  That doesn't communicate anything.  I won't say Stephanie didn't deserve to be treated that way but it's her own fault.  It's not good, it's not nice.  How did any of us get stuck with this?

The next one is something about John Lennon's killer.  I'm surprised, I actually recognized and even remembered "Catcher In The Rye" before it was one of the lyrics.  Hell, I'm surprised that I've actually been enjoying the songs more than I expected.  That's the point of A-sides but still, I didn't see this coming.  Ten and a half years after the album came out, I'm sorta partially enjoying it a bit.  This is truly a new era.

The next song just starts irritating, the opening, then it doesn't get any better.  This must be the opening of Side B.  There's definitely no sense of music, just noise packed on top of noise.  It's followed by noise that sounds like a record skipping, I assume that's the point.  Suddenly guitar and drums show up.  The vocals finally get around to actual lyrics but they're bothersome from the start and never quit.  I recognize the title but I'd have to look it up to get the spelling right so it's not that important.  It's another track that tries to sound like 90s/2000s hard rock and as little like G'n'R as possible.  In that regard, it's successful.  We're definitely on the pointless noise section of the album

So the next track changes mood by slowing down and gets back to complaining about "you."  The buildup to the chorus - "Sorry" - could be entertaining, it just doesn't quit.  It just goes on and on, whining about "you."  And then we're back to another irritating opening.  This is "IRS" or "FBI" or whatever it was that doesn't have any meaning or get any more attention than other lyrics.  It was probably a private joke, I-R-S standing for "I Remember Stephanie" or something like that.

And why the hell does Axl throw in vocals of just moaning?  I don't think he did that on previous albums.  If I'm wrong and he actually did, probably safe to assume they were for entertaining reasons and not whatever the hell he's doing here.

Then there's a vaguely-dramatic opening before the electric drum pattern starts and Axl's found yet another whiny voice.  Slowed down again, similarities to a ballad until the guitars start, briefly, and then gets back to the next verse.  Oh, this is the one with all the movie sounds thrown into a stew.  See, there's no way to know that.  There's no clue what he's singing about other than complaints about "you."  What's the point?  We don't know.  Once upon a time, singers were expected to make the lyrics clear to the listener but that hasn't been the case for decades.

Then there's, I think it's called "This I Love," the 'ballad' Axl wrote at the end of the Use Your Illusions tour, whining on endlessly and suddenly broken up by guitars.  The basic music is actually nice, there's just too much noise piled on top of it and it's pretended that a guitar solo makes it a real song.  If she's not somewhere near you, she won't hear you.  Simple as that.  There's no reason to believe he's even made it to Saturn, much less searched the entire universe.

Then there's more drum machines and more generic sounds that has been played this whole time.  I'm pretty sure this is the last song but it doesn't really matter.  I am surprised that I've enjoyed this more than I ever have before.  There are parts of most songs that I can at least tolerate.  Way too much production to come off as anything other than a lot of sounds played along with each other, nothing like a band, but there used to be potential.  There was a time indeed.

When I look into your eyes, I can see a love for tacos. You naughty girl!

Sooner or later, I'll get around to listening to Appetite For Destruction.  Hasn't happened yet, but I am listening to Lies.  This may actually be a good introduction, the first side is four songs that came from their demo tape but it's not clear if they were literally from the demo tape or if the band re-recorded them for their first release.  It was just a preparation by Geffen Records to see how to handle the debut album.  They made it but it was officially an "independent" release.  Two of the songs came from bands that eventually formed to become G'n'R, one was written by Izzy with outside members and one was an Aerosmith cover.

The second side was new songs, mostly acoustic guitar, a very different type of sound from what they had done up to this point.  That's actually a good a idea, I'm surprised more bands don't split their albums like this.  It's sure what I do with most of my books.

Anyway, most of Side A isn't impressive.  It's fine for what it is.  "Mama Kin" sounds great but that has less to do with the band and more to do with the awesomeness of this early Aerosmith song.  The other songs only stand out because whoever listened to them were already fans of the band, either members of the LA party scene or millions of people who were thrilled by Appetite.  There's nothing else there worth listening to.  Might as well put on Motley Crue or Poison.

Side B is definitely different.  "Patience" stands out as a well-done pop song, especially something we wouldn't expect from this band.  At least power ballads were being discovered as God's Greatest Gift to Humanity, this wasn't even that much, it's just a decent melody and generic love lyrics, but they're all very well merged and the song stands out.

"Used To Love Her" stands out just as a comedy song.  This was basically the end of bands having to crank out songs in a studio in-between live performances.  Axl has complained about his vocals ever since but he's just fine on these.  He'd sure never do that again.  Then there's the slow version of "You're Crazy" which probably stands out better than the version on Appetite.  Have rock bands ever really gone in for noticeably different versions of the same song?  It does show off ability.

I've already written about "One In A Million," [The Horror Comics Picture Show, page 157-8] and don't have much else to add.  The lyrics don't really work together, the chorus is nice but has nothing to do with the verses, the end is long and boring, the band otherwise sounds good.

So it certainly works as an album, even if it's just some mediocre work mixed with fun-and-different-sounding tracks to be quickly-released and fill time before the next real album.  The different styles, the ostensible attempt to 'make people think' with the challenging last song, this band was on its way up and certainly seemed to deserve it.  Ok, future albums would take more time to record, a lot more money spent on production, the street bums would move into mansions, but that's pretty normal for that type, what could possibly go wrong?

I'm actually tempted to listen to some tracks from Chinese Democracy.  Not that I really want to hear them, just that I don't want to mess with Appetite.

Even scarier, I'm actually pondering whether or not to play the entire f*cking album.  Not sure I'll actually go through with it, but just in case, I'll start off with the well known "trilogy" of songs from Use Your Illusions.  They are power ballads and therefore absolute proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.  I've already written alot about them in previous books so I'll just work on the "History project" probably won't have anything to say about them now.

I did throw in a couple other songs.  Halestorm's cover of "Out Ta Get Me" is ok but obviously they have nothing to do with the song.  It's just chicks trying to be like guys were thirty years earlier, funny how that's always what happens.  I also included "Shadow of Your Love" which I've written about before.  The band is great, the chorus is stupid, the rest of it is mediocre.  The only real up-side is that it's just nice to hear something from those five that we haven't heard a zillion times already.

"Don't Cry" is a nice ballad but nothing's special about it.  The ending sucks and the overall sound is just massively over-produced.  "November Rain" is fine as an epic but it doesn't go anywhere or do anything.  "Estranged" is much the same.  There's just the sense that no one can stop Axl from doing this.  There are places where one can understand an individual picking a particular goal and using a particular method to achieve that goal, there are also places where there's no point, it could be done just as well but taking much less time or money.

There's also an aspect that is probably different for every individual case and only God could see a distinction.  "November Rain" would have been just as memorable with less work but it would need more work than the pre-recorded versions in 1986, the question is how much extra work would be required.  I don't know, you don't know, Axl doesn't know, Izzy won't tell us...

Hopefully I won't get to Appetite, I've added the earlier recordings of "November Rain" and haven't even gotten to Chinese Democracy yet.  Neither have they but you get my point.  I think the track is overdone and still doesn't go anywhere, even in the earlier versions, but there is talent involved and it's all Axl.  What happened?  The music is at least nice for what it is and he's not stomping it down with vocals every possible second.  If I do put on Appetite, I'll have to pay attention to whether he did that back then or if it's only something he started after becoming famous.

I'm going to push 'publish' now just to get this out of the way.  But don't worry, I'll be back really soon with more work you'll love.  Axl would want it that way.

No, I don't know why I do this, stop asking.

1840 days ago, April 1, 2016, Slash and Duff gave an unannounced concert with Axl.  The reunion tour had already been announced and probably sold-out, but this was the first time the three of them had been seen together since 1993.

The first Guns'n'Roses concert performed by the people know today was on June 6, 1985.  1840 days later, in June 1990, drummer Steven Adler was trying and failing to record his work on "Civil War," the only Use Your Illusions song he would appear on.  He was fired on July 11, the first one of that group to leave.

The first G'n'R release, Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide, came out on December 16, 1986.  1840 days later, the Use Your Illusions albums were probably still on the charts.  They had been released three months earlier and the band was well into the tour.  They would play Miami the following day, their last concert in 1991.  The back-up singers and musicians had already been added and Axl was spending so much money that the tour wouldn't make a profit until 1993.

Appetite For Destruction came out on July 21, 1987.  1840 days later, the tour was still going on, with Metallica this time, and in a few days, James Hetfield would be badly burned in Montreal by pyrotechnics.  Metallica was done with their set, all but one member of G'n'R was willing to quickly start playing and keep the crowd entertained.  The one exception didn't appear on stage until about four hours after Hetfield was taken down and Axl quit singing as soon as possible.  Quebecers normally have only two choices, listen to heavy metal or riot, now they were down to one.  Finding it more humorous in hindsight, Hetfield would describe what it was like to be in the hospital, under enormous pain, and suddenly all these kids in G'n'R and Metallica t-shirts were being brought in.  He would shortly return to singing in concerts and even recording/releasing music with his band.

G'n'R released Lies on November 29, 1988.  It was a re-release of Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide along with four new songs, keeping up the band's new-found mega-stardom.  1840 days later, G'n'R had just released The Spaghetti Incident, a mostly-ignorable cover album.  The Illusions tour had been over for five months.

The Illusions albums came out on September 17, 1991.  1840 days later, Slash was leaving the band, having already written a bunch of songs and submitted them to Axl who rejected them.  So Slash recorded and toured it as a solo album, selling over a million copies, almost as many as Chinese Democracy eventually would when Axl finally got around to doing a follow-up album.  Then Slash tried to come back to the band but nothing happened, so he was out.

1840 days after Spaghetti Incident came out on , everyone in G'n'R had been replaced at least once except the guy in charge and little was going on.  A year later, "Oh My God" would be released.

"Oh My God" came out on November 2, 1999.  It was on the soundtrack for an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie.  It would get a little airplay - I know I heard it on the radio - but otherwise go nowhere.  Keeping a distance from each other, Axl Slash and Duff would release Live Era '87-93, concert versions mostly recorded during the Illusion tour.  1840 days after "Oh My God," Geffen was preparing to stop funding G'n'R for recording Chinese Democracy.  They had already released a Greatest Hits album against Axl's will earlier that year but it sold quite well.

559 days from the first real G'n'R concert to the first recorded release, 4.26% of G'n'R's existence.
218 days from the first recorded release to Appetite For Destruction, 1.66% of G'n'R's existence.
498 days from the release of Appetite to the release of Lies, 3.8% of G'n'R's existence.
1023 days from the release of Lies to the release of the Illusion albums, 7.8% of G'n'R's existence.
799 days from the release of the Illusions to the release of Spaghetti Incident, 6.09% of G'n'R's existence.
386 days from the release of Spaghetti Incident to the release of "Sympathy For The Devil," Slash and Duff's last contribution to the G'n'R catalogue, 2.94% of G'n'R's existence.
1785 days from the release of "Sympathy For The Devil" to the release of Oh My God," 13.62% of G'n'R's existence.
3310 days from the release of "Oh My God" to the release of Chinese Democracy, 25.25% of G'n'R's existence.
2687 days from the release of Chinese Democracy to the first concert with Slash, Duff and Axl, 20.5% of G'n'R's existence.
1840 days have passed since then, 14.4% of G'n'R's existence.

Slash and Duff are barely part of 40% of G'n'R's existence and if you drop the five+ years of playing old songs on stage, they're less than 24% of the band's history.

1840 days before Paul McCartney admitted Wings no longer existed - I'm going with the April 26, 1982 release date of his Tug of War album - Wings was getting ready for its third line-up and had just released "Mull of Kintyre."  2687 days before that, the Beatles were a month away from recording "I Me Mine," their final recording session.  3310 days before that, the Beatles were nearing the end of their first Hamburg residency in November 1960.  Not counting the three decades of writing, recording and releasing music since, everything Paul is known for took less time than everything Axl has done since "Oh My God" came out.

1840 days before Robert Plant and Jimmy Page released Walking Into Clarksdale, Plant was ready to release his Fate of Nations album which is my favorite work of his.  2687 days before that, it was a few months after he released Shaken' 'n' Stirred and reunited with Led Zeppelin at Live Aid.  3310 days before that, Led Zeppelin had just released The Song Remains The Same movie+soundtrack.  1785 days before that, they had just released their fourth album.  You know, the one with *that* song.  Not counting their first few albums, not counting all of Plant's albums since, he got more done in the same amount of time that Axl has spent making a "trilogy," with or without Slash and Duff.  But Plant's also had his son die and gotten in car wrecks and stuff like that.

1840 days before Phil Collins, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford announced the Genesis reunion tour, Phil Collins was taking a break because he'd become deaf.  He had won an Oscar for his Tarzan soundtrack the previous year and the following year would be house drummer for Queen Elizabeth's Golden Jubilee, The Party at the Palace.  2687 days before that, Phil had started touring for his first post-Genesis album although it hadn't been announced that he'd left the band.  3310 days before that, Phil had released his most popular solo album, No Jacket Required, and was preparing to play Live Aid.  Genesis had been taking a break to do solo careers but would soon get back together to start on Invisible Touch.  1785 days before that, Genesis had released Duke, their first real hit in the US, and Phil Collins was getting finished with his first solo album, Face Value.  386 days before that, he began work on that album.

That's a lot of career to fit into the same time Axl spent on not-promoting an album of covers, not accepting music his employee guitarist brought in and everything that came after.  And we're not even counting previous Genesis albums with Phil as lead singer, much less all the Peter Gabriel albums, much less the albums he made with Robert Plant or Brand X, much less anything else, throwing one of his lesser songs onto a movie soundtrack ["Against All Odds"] or producing an Eric Clapton album.  He even takes breaks from making music.  You wouldn't catch Axl doing that.

Angie... Angie... You can't say "antidisestablishmentist onomatopoeia." But it's ok, you're blonde.

Dunno what I have to talk about today.  I'm looking up David Geffen on Wikipedia and that just doesn't look right.  He was born in middle-class NYC, barely went to college, there or in Hollywood.  He made a brief attempt to be an actor, bring a minor character in one movie, then started working in the mailroom for a talent agency.

He then started a management company which had some success, notably with CS&N.  Then Asylum, a record label for a few acts that did have hits.  This is why I looked it up, I was under the impression that Asylum's one successful album by Bob Dylan - who was arguing with CBS at the time - but apparently they were involved in the Eagles and a few less-successful acts that still sold records.  Then he left that and worked for Warner Bros. in movies.  Then he quit and started another record company whose first hit was John Lennon's final album, which only became a hit after he died, but...  There were also Aerosmith, G'n'R and a few others.

There was also a Geffen movie studio which did have some hits as well.  He quit that and started DreamWorks with Steven Spielberg and Jeffrey Katzenberg.  They definitely had some hit movies - although looking them up, it's possible that I saw part of Eurotrip at some point, it sounds vaguely familiar, but otherwise I haven't seen a single DreamWorks movie ever - but even there, they were usually co-produced by other major studios who also handled distribution.

So ok, assuming Geffen is good at finances, it's believable he'd made a decent amount of money in his career, but $10 billion?  Where did that come from?

Asylum was bought by Atlantic Records and I don't see how much was paid for it.  Geffen got $555 million for the 1990 sale of Geffen Records to MCA and another $670 million when MCA was purchased in 1991 by Matsushita.  Paramount purchased DreamWorks in 2005 for $1.6 billion.  Even if every penny went into Geffen's pocket - 0 for Spielberg, 0 in federal, state or local taxes, 0 to employees or shareholders, 0 to buy and maintain mansions and boats and planes, 0 to the other businesses he was associated with - that's only a fraction of $10-freaking-billion.

You don't get mindbogglingly rich from running a management company, or a record company, or even a movie company.  I could believe getting rich from all of them at once but he left one to start the next, so unless he just kept stooges in place to follow his orders without him being legally responsible for them, I don't see how that would work.  The Wikipedia article has more about expensive things he's purchased and philanthropy.  It says a few things like selling a giant mansion to Jeff Bezos which probably was a profit but probably not that much more than he'd already spent on the place and was already a megabillionaire.

I have to wonder if he was part of a conspiracy, a movement that was only underground in the sense that they didn't openly plan to rule.  It would certainly explain a lot.

Black women should be punished if they try to give birth.  No black woman will ever again give birth or they'll die.  That will solve all the problems.

He'll obey.  This is just a pose.  The only question is who they're going to invade first.

There's more riots going on these days.  At some point they're going to find police officers guilty in court just to shut up the rioters.  Well, it won't work but they'll be guilty.  I think the left is deliberately trying to cross that line, they had a similar reaction to Fox News going along with them on election night.  Not sure why they'd do this but I suspect that's what they're after.

This isn't going to last, how will it go on?  Obviously the enemy has to move in as soon as possible to get maximum time and one assumes they've been planning for a while.  Bombs?  Invasion?  A 9/11 anniversary?  I have to wonder if there's something up with the Virus Vaccine.  It's going down.

Yeah, he threatened to withhold money unless they fired a prosecutor who was going after his son's illegal activities.  Before that, Obama promised to protect Ukraine if they'd just give up their nukes and did nothing when Russia invaded.

What the hell are they after with Ukraine?

□ [“Here We Go: Minnesota Liquor Store and GameStop Looted After Police Shooting – Just Because"]

These are deliberate.  The only question is if the party that's been in charge of blacks for centuries after bringing them in from Africa is flat-out ordering blacks to behave like this so they can burn places down or if they just need blacks to be stupid enough to not be able to think of anything else and fortunately the party has been in charge of education for decades.

Notice how they're all limited to cities Democrats have been in charge of for decades if not longer.

It's safe to assume this is happening elsewhere in the world, there are riots in Canada right now and I'm assuming there are some in Britain, probably more in Europe.  Obviously the media won't give them much attention, too much chance that they might become superpowers once they've destroyed the US.

So we've got an enemy army that destroys communities without having the courage to dress in uniform, we've got upcoming wars, tyrants erasing any opposition.  Trump was right, they're not coming for after him, they're going for the rest of us.

□ [Simon & Garfunkel - “The Sounds Of Silence" (Live)]

Dunno why but this song popped into my head.  Darkness, silence, that's what we're in for.

This must have been one of S&G's last concerts.  They haven't played a show since 2010 and they look it here.  I know I say that I prefer studio recordings but I'm willing to make an exception when I see a reason and this is definitely gorgeous.  The melody is wonderful, the lyrics are about as intellectual as music is capable of.

There's definitely more than just two singers and an acoustic guitar, they're just the only ones getting any attention.  It's not clear if the guitarist behind Simon is playing but someone is, Simon's certainly not playing the chords and notes, and there might be a keyboard somewhere.  The drummer might be playing throughout, he's definitely moving on something.  Just turn off his microphone and the people on stage can still hear him, that's all they need.  The band is definitely playing later on, just not that loudly.

Of course that's not the point, it's the harmony which is amazing.  They aren't just singing like the recorded versions and they're almost perfectly in-sync throughout.  How much of this was practice for the performance and how much is just it's how they are and they've known each other since they were kids?  I don't know if they're a little off in the last part of the song or if it's deliberate but before that, they're totally singing together even when one of them goes in a different direction.  That takes a lot of work and easy to see why they're known for it.

I may wind up listening to some more S&G.  They are among the best of the best.  Due to the times we're living in these days, I have listened to "Bridge Over Troubled Water" more than once in the last few months and adding a few more would be fun.  We'll see.  Or maybe I've already done it, it's not like the vision planted in my brain still remains.  There's just silence.

If I could only find the words then I could write it all down... oh wait, there they are.

Funny how Biden claims Constitutional amendments aren't absolute, but then that means Trump is his Veep.  It's only the 12th Amendment that doesn't put the second-place finisher in as Vice-President.  That's how the founder of the Democratic Party got into office, remember?  You were there.

Then again, he doesn't know much.  He's trying to get NASA to "volunteer employees" for the detention camps.  That's not what NASA is for, but now everything is "infrastructure" and he's in charge of everything so they can be voluntold what to do and have no choice but to obey.

□ [“Democrats Urge Biden to Make COVID Vaccines Mandatory for Military after 40% of Healthy Marines Refuse the Vaccine"]

This is one of the few places that gives me any hope.  Not much but at least it's something.  The left has no idea how the military works.  That's why they tend to go for military action whenever they take charge because they suddenly discover that, unlike everybody else, the military is respectful and obedient in ways leftists had never imagined.  They are, but only up to a point.

The military knows that every one of its members is an individual human being.  That's where they've had to put centuries of training and motivation to support the mission, the unit, the commander, etc. and they've been far more successful at it than any other part of humanity.  I've long said that it's the closest to workable leftism, but it doesn't happen by any of the things leftist pretend to want, and the further left one goes, the further away from reality they get.  They want obedience.  The military does involve obedience but that's not remotely everything and the military knows it.

So at this point, if there's any real reason to hope (and I'm not optimistic) it'll be from the military.  Of  course Democrats are already purging it as much as possible.  They're also trying to ban what they call "ghost guns," obviously a made-up term to scare their supporters.  Yes, technology has advanced to the point where computers and printers and create gun-parts which can be put together.  They are trying to ban computers and only the people in charge know it.  The others will just obey, that's all they're useful for.

People have books on their computers nowadays too, there'll be no effort needed to add books to the 'banned' list and it's not like people will be able to defend themselves from the men with guns stomping their way in.

If you don't believe in guns, they can't do anything to you.

Listening to Def Leppard's Hysteria for the first time in many years.  I'm enjoying it quite a bit but that only makes sense.  It's totally fuckin awesome the first rock album I ever wanted to get.  Pretty sure I hadn't heard anything from it but the album was popular in 6th or 7th grade so I did go along with the crowd.  Probably for a similar reason I had received Whitesnake's self-titled album the previous Christmas but I hadn't asked for it.  Appetite For Destruction would be the next album I got and that was for the same reason too.

Anyway, it does sound great and probably not just because it entered my life at a young age, this must have been the highest musical recording technology of the time and they sure spent a lot of money on it.  And time, looking it up, Def Leppard's previous album had come out in 1983, this came out in 1987 and the follow-up came out in 1992.  I'm not sure even old musicians went so long without a release at that point but who would even think of that for a young band with potential?  Axl Rose must have been taking notes.

I'm not sure how much potential Def Leppard ever had.  They were popular in Britain, coming out of the post-punk era, I don't know how much success they ever had on record or tour by this point.  The songs are basically decent pop music, the production is certainly at the top of the line.  Special effects are used very well in songs like "Rocket" and "Gods of War," Mutt Lange is credited as co-writer of every song.  To the extent they're understandable, the lyrics aren't bad, just simplistic but there are a few amusing rhymes or phrases here and there.

The songs are basically fun as well.  They're catchy.  Nothing brilliant but nothing wrong either.  This is clearly where music was going and it's obviously where I got into it.  I'm trying to decide if I'll follow it up with Appetite For Destruction since that's what I did mumble-mumble years ago.

□ [“Biden2005 denounces Biden2021’s exploration of court-packing as being ‘corrupted by power’"]

That was almost a third of his time in Washington DC ago, how is he supposed to remember something that so long ago?

Further into this article, there's a video of Biden in 1987 quoting the Senate when they refused to let FDR pack the court in 1937, “It's a measure which should be so emphatically rejected that its parallel will never again be presented to the free representatives of the free people of America.”

So Biden is doing the exact opposite of what he pretended to stand for, shown by him quoting the Democrats who controlled the Senate against the Democrat POTUS's lust for power.  They always get back to this.  Suddenly "defund police" has become 'send police to take away guns from the people' which dictatorships always do.  Do they have the slightest clue how people will ignore those laws and many others in the process and how un-interested the police will be in going after them for it?

Now they're calling everything "infrastructure," ostensibly to promote their new insane spending bill, but I suspect it's more along the lines of going back at least as far as Lenin, that every single solitary detail of society must be measured into account so the government can control it.  In other words, everything is "infrastructure" and they rule everything.

How do they think this is actually going to work?  It's going to create an underground medicine field.  Sure, there are laws against doctors care not being done on government policy but there's also laws against picking people by skin color and they don't care about that.

□ [“White Female Postal Worker Viciously Beaten in Flint, Michigan Over Delayed Stimulus Checks"]

The guy taking the video sure sounds black, he keeps saying "It's 'tribe.'"  That's what you're left with when you wipe out the "nation."

I wonder if that's another way to establish the 'aristocrat' level, they can consider themselves a 'tribe' and seek to squash all the rest.  Confirmation has just come out that it was definitely Hunter Biden's computer showing Hunter Biden doing all this sex and drugs and telling his father to run for POTUS to save his ass.  I'm curious how close he was to the actual slave-markets coming out of China which sure gave him a lot of money, but we'll probably never be permitted to learn that, it would be defying the aristocrats and he's at the top of the line now.  As with Prince Phillip who died today, he's one of the "tribe.'

I have no idea how to start an 'underground' movement but if someone does, they could offer me a job.
