Goodbye Darkness, I don't like you. You suck.

Yeah, he threatened to withhold money unless they fired a prosecutor who was going after his son's illegal activities.  Before that, Obama promised to protect Ukraine if they'd just give up their nukes and did nothing when Russia invaded.

What the hell are they after with Ukraine?

These are deliberate.  The only question is if the party that's been in charge of blacks for centuries after bringing them in from Africa is flat-out ordering blacks to behave like this so they can burn places down or if they just need blacks to be stupid enough to not be able to think of anything else and fortunately the party has been in charge of education for decades.

Notice how they're all limited to cities Democrats have been in charge of for decades if not longer.

It's safe to assume this is happening elsewhere in the world, there are riots in Canada right now and I'm assuming there are some in Britain, probably more in Europe.  Obviously the media won't give them much attention, too much chance that they might become superpowers once they've destroyed the US.

So we've got an enemy army that destroys communities without having the courage to dress in uniform, we've got upcoming wars, tyrants erasing any opposition.  Trump was right, they're not coming for after him, they're going for the rest of us.

□ [Simon & Garfunkel - “The Sounds Of Silence" (Live)]

Dunno why but this song popped into my head.  Darkness, silence, that's what we're in for.

This must have been one of S&G's last concerts.  They haven't played a show since 2010 and they look it here.  I know I say that I prefer studio recordings but I'm willing to make an exception when I see a reason and this is definitely gorgeous.  The melody is wonderful, the lyrics are about as intellectual as music is capable of.

There's definitely more than just two singers and an acoustic guitar, they're just the only ones getting any attention.  It's not clear if the guitarist behind Simon is playing but someone is, Simon's certainly not playing the chords and notes, and there might be a keyboard somewhere.  The drummer might be playing throughout, he's definitely moving on something.  Just turn off his microphone and the people on stage can still hear him, that's all they need.  The band is definitely playing later on, just not that loudly.

Of course that's not the point, it's the harmony which is amazing.  They aren't just singing like the recorded versions and they're almost perfectly in-sync throughout.  How much of this was practice for the performance and how much is just it's how they are and they've known each other since they were kids?  I don't know if they're a little off in the last part of the song or if it's deliberate but before that, they're totally singing together even when one of them goes in a different direction.  That takes a lot of work and easy to see why they're known for it.

I may wind up listening to some more S&G.  They are among the best of the best.  Due to the times we're living in these days, I have listened to "Bridge Over Troubled Water" more than once in the last few months and adding a few more would be fun.  We'll see.  Or maybe I've already done it, it's not like the vision planted in my brain still remains.  There's just silence.
