Aside from that, Clooney says he's being blamed for the election loss.  Somebody somewhere posted on the internet that it's Clooney's fault.  He had spoken out about Biden dropping out of the race because after all these years, he'd finally gotten around to noticing problems Joe was having.  For some reason he has influence so saying that was a big deal.

But this report says that Obama is the one who told him to speak out.  Obama didn't want to be seen publicly betraying his own senile veep and hasn't been seen much since the election.  Sounds normal to me.  He doesn't accept any blame but tells people what to do in private.  Publicly, he's been voting "present" for most of his career.  What else would you expect from him at this point?

Well apparently Clooney expected something else.  I just get the impression that this is about something that had little to do with Biden, Harris or possibly even the overall election.  Can't say I care what Clooney thinks about anything but I'm interested in how the elites may be starting to turn against Obama.  That will reveal a lot more secrets than expected, just at the outset.  How long until Obama has to go public and we see how he's handling the pressure?

I would also assume that Trump's intelligence briefings have increased - although they had been pretty low before the election - so he can get a better picture of what's going on.  Can't see everything until he actually takes office but he can probably tell Trudeau or Hochul or whoever that he knows their secrets and they'd better play nice or everyone else will know.

Things like this just make it look like Trump really did have a 12-year plan from the start, two terms with a break in between so we'd see what the left will do when they have the chance.  Make America Great Again was basic and catchy so that worked for the first term and now all the sane people are looking at that and saying "YES!  We need that now more than ever!"

To his credit, he does make the point that the party should really figure out how Harris threw away over a billion dollars for a failed campaign in just a few months.  That shows more problems than just installing a bimbo nobody wants after a coup to get rid of the senile candidate, the only candidate in the primaries.  Um, maybe the party can't handle the problems there, so just stick with the billion dollars being wasted.

How will the party convince any big donors in the future that their money isn't being wasted on getting her nails done or taking a private jet to NYC to be on Saturday Night Live for two minutes.  Those big donors need a reason to come back and if all these years of rhetoric about Trump haven't worked, what are you supposed to do in the next election?  Magically pass laws on campaign financing that the government will pay for?

This might also be an aspect of the media mindset, and I don't even mean that as an insult.  We've only had one POTUS with two non-consecutive terms, it's just not supposed to happen.  As far as I know, Teddy Roosevelt is the only other one who's even tried - FDR is obviously an exception - and was the most popular man of his time but he failed.  When one guy leaves, you're supposed to get a new guy, not someone you already had.  Yet here he is.

But beyond that, it's also an aspect of the media mindset, and I do mean that as an insult.  How do these people get out of bed in the morning if they're so weak and helpless and exhausted at the basic requirements of life and their job?  They even self-project their own problems onto others, saying it's the whole country that feels burnt out.  Those of us who aren't leftists actually have a sense of hope and possibilities for the first time in years.

Gee, what's changed?  He could have made this offer two years ago and Ukraine could be having elections now.  What do you suppose is different now, other than a lot of dead Ukrainians and a lot of money in Zelensky's bank accounts?  Sure, he says this will only happen if Ukraine gets to join NATO, so that won't happen.  Far as I know, NATO hasn't gotten around to lowering its standards to the point where Ukraine would be permitted to join, but this is a starting point.

Russia continues to take territory, including the town of Kurakhovo where coal is mined and coking coal is used to make steel, the only place left in Ukraine that produces this important resource.  It's not close to Kiev but Russia is slowly taking important supply and production areas.  The conquest strategy keeps being compared to a boa constrictor, both for the individual attacks as well as the overall movement in enemy territory.

Ukraine has continued using US ATACMS missiles and Russia has threatened to respond with hypersonic missiles.  Trump's people say they will cut weapons off unless Ukraine enters peace negotiations, which may be why Zelensky has made this public statement now.  And what's NATO going to do.  The Ukraine supporters are showing themselves to be a minority and they haven't bothered to put on gear and go fight Russia themselves, who do they expect to handle this?  Oh right, someone else.

We haven't even gotten to all the money being funneled or the biolabs in Ukraine.  Russia surely knows all about those by now, they can use that for blackmail or other threats.  The globalists have done everything they can to ruin their nations' militaries so there's not a lot we can do about that.  In the long term, I assume we'll do fine, it's the short term that's the killer.

Of the multiple problems Democrats will face, one big one will be if they are *required* to pick a female again because DEI or if they can actually look for someone with ability.  Of course they don't have many candidates with ability, but we've got four years to laugh about that, so stick with the issue of picking a woman.

The *woke* agenda is strong in this one, so there will be a lot of pressure to pick someone by gender and/or skin color and ignore the rest.  I don't know how Democrats would handle that or if they're capable of it.  They were fine with installing Harris, or Biden, but that wasn't enough to follow through.  Then they have to get past the elites of the party who made this happen.  Then there's the need to be able to convince other people to go along with this plan, which is kinda important if you want to win over voters.

If a woman was capable of that, she would already be showing herself off.  If a man was capable of that, he would be outperforming the women, which was why Walz did most of the talking in public, not Harris.  That's why Democrats need to keep men silent, which leads them to why Trump got so many votes.

I don't know how they'll fix this in four years.  Right now, they're just hoping for complete disaster so anyone will be preferred over Trump's successor.  Not a winning strategy, especially since we are already seeing benefits and he hasn't even taken office yet.  The activists who insist on DEI politicians could be irrelevant long before the next election is even considered.

Then there's Schedule F, which consolidated bureaucratic authority under the POTUS.  That's what the executive branch is supposed to do, they're accountable to the chief.  Not sure how, why or when they got away from that, but this will create a lot of havoc in leftist circles and reduce the government foot on the citizen's neck.

But he also cites the youth of the campaign workers, saying that a 23-year old should just be ignored.  Then why are they allowed to vote?  So basically Democrats' appeal to the youth is bribing them to become slaves and give the old people more power.  However you dress it up, that's what he's talking about here.

If there's anything positive to say about the times we live in, it's that we're all seeing these examples of how leftism contradicts itself and doesn't work.  He's promoting tyranny to elect a democrat, expecting the young to be mindless pawns in a youth-based movement and comes off like the cranky old man that leftists use as a stereotype of conservatives.

Still not clear who's on what side, but near as I can tell, Carville was always one of the Clinton people.  Obama's people were the ones running Harris' campaign.  The Clintons were the last big names to drop Biden, I think Obama was just voting "present" until it was clear what would happen.  Biden's people were old, unelected bureaucrats, so they had a lot of weight but not much real authority.  No idea who would be working for Nancy Pelosi or what other big names there were, so in this instance, Carville is really going after the Obama crowd, which explains why they were so *woke.*

There's also countless articles on how you should skip Thanksgiving with your Trump-supporting relatives.  Destroying the family is one of the excuses they use but the left in general is just wasted.  Their obsession with politics and government is destroying them.  I do think more and more of them are starting to see it, there's an increasing impression of weariness on the left.

There's a little bit of whining that the election was stolen, but that seems more like a typical reaction.  They'd deluded themselves to think they had leftism forever, and then Trump beat Hillary, and then Biden stole the election and now Trump won the popular vote, so they have to go through another four years of this???  At least people with lives outside of politics have things to focus on.

But as has long been pointed out, the individual is the smallest minority on the planet.  We all have individual rights, at least in a free society built by men, and the left always opposes that.  We see this with DEI and "black lives matter" and every other leftist tactic, it's never about the individual.  It's about dividing people into groups based on one facet and limiting to that.  Almost half of women voted for Trump, that's what real diversity does.  And the women who voted for Trump will have fewer abortions, so they'll soon be the majority anyway.  Heterosexuality and reproduction wins again.

They expected to win.  If that happened, they'd be bringing in tons of money, but there was no back-up plans if that didn't happen.  This is why they hate money, because it helps clarify time, ability, achievement in ways that each individual can decide for themselves what's most important by what they do to earn money and what they decide to spend it on.  You can work for someone you despise because you get a paycheck.  Eliminate money and the problems still exist and are much harder to classify.

This is the first hint of the longer-range problem, donors are not going to help the DNC in the future.  If it were anybody else, I'd say they're talking about how they're going to fix things and make sure this never happens again.  But these are leftists, so they're a long way away from that and they'll uncover many more problems in the meantime.

The media went along with them.  You can argue that they did it deliberately or out of ignorance, but it still puts the decision on whoever ran Harris' campaign, since she obviously didn't.  Slowly the cracks in leftist institutions are widening.  They thought they were reporting the truth and are starting to realize that it was all based on lies, and not just about Harris' campaign polls.

I assume they're going to crack down on anybody saying anything that's not officially permitted, but that will make the elites look wonky as more pieces have to be moved to where they hadn't expected which will cause further problems.  I'm probably fantasizing to think that the left's institutions might be in total collapse by the time Trump actually takes office, but it will be entertaining to watch.

I was a complete support of the "war on terrorism," but one problem it caused was that this stuff becomes normal.  Oh no, another terror warning!  It's also easy to fake, either the threats themselves or the government reaction.  If the secrets ever come out, we may be shocked to find out how many of the real terrorist attacks were fake or set-up for some other reason.  That's what we're looking at here.

It's going to be dangerous for everyone up through January 20.  If we get that far, it looks like Trump will have things ready to go on 'day one' and we'll all be pleasantly shocked.  But until then, there's still the threats, real or imaginary.  We're not out of the woods yet.

This must be headed for an end although I don't know what it would be.  The old rich people reciting these lies will die at some point, but they've never bothered to have successors.  Sure, there's lots of kids who can recite this stuff too, but it's just a weapon to use on the peasants.  They don't really believe it and will ignore it once it stops working.  I assume the basic hysteria will stay around, but who will be able to convincingly push it and how?

There's going to be more of this.  The whole world must have forgotten what it's like to have a United States of America.  I'm blanking on the term, but there was some plan in the Clinton administration to effectively make the three parts of North America into one country.  Two of those three don't have much to work with without the US, it's time they acknowledge that fact.

The breakdown of the Democratic Party continues and more will become public.  This is probably a big reason Harris hasn't been seen in public for a while.  [Heavy drinking is probably the other big reason.]  Her campaign is still in debt and the donors want to know where the money went.  We'll get some entertaining leaks from this, the private planes, the celebrities, getting her nails done expensively.  That's probably just the start.

She can't say she didn't know how the spending happened, that would mean she wasn't in charge and had no business running for POTUS in the first place.  And that would turn people against the DNC for installing her after the primary.  One donor says her campaign was handled by "Obama's people," when Obama had opposed her replacing Biden.  That's an incomplete description but probably true for what it is, and there will be more of that.

Remember, the donors were holding back because Biden was the problem, then gave tons of money after the coup which installed Harris.  I can't believe they were that rich and yet so ignorant, but those who rule the Democrats know these people better than I do.  And Harris has learned nothing, she made a short call to the donors and rather than explaining how things went wrong, she was self-congratulatory and bringing up recipes for Thanksgiving meals.

I recently said she had a solid chance of trying again, despite her obvious weaknesses.  Well this throws that out the window.  She'd have to actually go out and appeal to people, which she's never done before.  I pay no attention to Joe Rogan - I only know him from News Radio back when Phil Hartman was still alive - but his podcast is popular.  Trump and Vance each went on it for three hours, but she didn't.  She could do that now and show how much she has to offer in a challenging environment.  From what I've heard, it sounds like her staff would be trying to pull her off the show in five minutes.  She couldn't win when the elites installed and funded her.  Without them, she'd still be working a street corner.

Note, some video came out from one of the calls she made.  I have not watched it but many commenters say she looks and sounds drunk.

As far as I know, they haven't even gotten to the laws against entering the country without permission, the specific methods that must be followed.  You can make an argument that those laws are wrong and should be ignored, but you can say that about any laws.  When illegal invaders rape and murder, they're just defying the law.

The Denver mayor insists he'll have 50,000 citizens standing up to defend him.  No he won't.  They don't have the guts and even the ones stupid enough to show up will quickly run away.  They'll just let it happen.  A few more might try to hide illegals in their house, but there's the problem of how you find them.  Post your address on twitter?  Then there's putting up with them for a few days, that's fix that problem one way or another.

Don't know how likely it is, but there's a possibility that this is why people like Rob Reiner, Mark Hamill, etc. have had to drop out.  It's possible they have been ordered to stay out of sight, for a while or until they die.  They don't know what to do now so different groups are going different ways and there's going to be more conflict.

It's easiest to watch with the celebrities, but this is going on all across the board.  The politicians are suddenly in a minority and never expected that to happen.  Leftist-run businesses need to stay operational, so they're starting to drop the DEI nonsense.  I wonder how much will happen this weekend at Thanksgiving dinner, or if leftists will even bother having them, so the effect will be expanded on individuals and families.  Then there's the collectivist lunatics who don't have any real connection to any of those groups or organizations, what are they going to do?

But not if it's manufactured by Elon Musk.  Other companies, sure, you get a state benefit if you purchase one of their products, but not the same product from Musk.  Gee, no discrimination there, or favoring certain businessmen over others.  Those who purchase gas burning cars don't get a tax break either.  Newsom is creating a big problem for himself just because Musk supports Trump.  Doesn't matter if you save the earth with that vehicle, no benefits for you!  The state says so!

Sounds like an incentive to invest in those non-Musk-owned companies since the government is helping them get more sales this way.  Newsom's uncle Paul Pelosi might find a way to make money from that.  Or other friends and family members, this is how the government can help everybody they choose to give a favor to and everyone else has to deal with it on their own.  That's how Newsom wants it.

This is an article citing another article citing another article, the latter two both from Politico.  None of these articles actually spoke to Harris and named very few of the people who did comment.  That doesn't encourage much support or confidence that she has any clue about this.  Granted this is about someone who needed a couple weeks to think of anything she'd do differently than Biden but it doesn't sound good.

Harris is still fairly young and Democrats don't have much else to work with, that is a definite advantage, but that's about it.  She can also say she's not Trump, but big deal.  I'm not Trump either, it's a common trait.  She's never run anything, which even California governor has to do.  As one unnamed commenter said about that in the article, "It's a real job."  She showed in the campaign and the primaries that she couldn't handle that.

This may just be about getting her donations to pay her $20 million campaign debt.  She can't point to any victories for people to look up to her, the same reason Hillary Clinton doesn't get out much anymore.  Bill and Trump and Obama and even Biden can point to actual wins in their lives.  Sarah Palin is probably remembered more fondly than Harris will be.  Palin can at least point to winning city council, mayor and governor before reaching the level where she became famous.  She was also likeable which probably made a difference.

A lot of people are going to spend a long time studying how Democrats put themselves into this mess where Harris was at the apex.  They installed her for a guaranteed victory and this is how it worked out.  And note that Biden, despite senility, seems to be able to accept a loss and get on with what remains of his life.  Harris is probably too egotistical to accept going down the ladder after being the first insane woman to self-identify as vice-president. [note to self:  can I find a better way to put that?]

This was about January 6 and the classified documents in Mar-a-Lago.  The former was an obvious lie and the latter was pointless, given that at POTUS Trump had authority to declassify whatever he wanted.  Now Trump has leeway to go after those who made these frauds possible, as well as the prosecutors.

I'm ambivalent about the latter.  Maybe it's because I didn't pay much attention to these legal cases, but I don't see any way Trump could go after the prosecutors and not look totally vengeful.  Not saying he's wrong to do that, but it's not a good look and I have no clue how to fix that.  It's just the nature of the job, this would seem to be a purge of anyone who disagrees with him.  That said, I'm fine with punishing these leftists to within an inch of their lives.  I guess you could say I'm conflicted.

This is where I hope Trump really has a plan.  It's going to get messy very quickly, and probably bloody.  He will want to prevent that as much as possible, but will it work?  The pleasure of the last three weeks hasn't changed the fact that we still need back-up supplies and preparation because society could still collapse any day.

I first noticed this when Robert De Niro made his public appearance when (IIRC) Trump was found guilty, he had been out with the lawyers and ranting in public about this.  I got the impression that he was trying to be the real life aging Vito Corleone (and looking up De Niro's film credits, he was playing gangsters in multiple movies back then) and saying he wants this guy guilty, no matter what.

I've often suggested that the leftist elites self-identify as their own government to run, or at least the movie division of the 'new world order.'  They were showing off their authority and committing what would be considered crimes by real governments.  Now that they've suffered this huge defeat, they don't want to give up any more evidence to prosecutors, so people like Hamill or Rob Reiner have gone into hiding.

This could be related to recent revelations against people like P. Diddy and Neil Gaiman, of the deeper cult our masters are part of.  Once again, I'll assume it's about worshipping demons until there's proof to the contrary, but it's just my speculation.  In Gaiman's case, the accusations are similar to what's being levelled at Trump's cabinet pics, probably not a coincidence.  If there's a reason to wish I followed more celebrities, it would be so I could look at how they're handling the sudden unexpected change to their worldview.

We need to find out how many of the uniparty knew about this and got their share and how many were just obeying like sheep being sent to war.  It's long been known that money goes missing in wartime, so those in charge must have schemed ways to get as much as possible.  All those decades of rhetoric about the "military-industrial complex," that's what they're doing here.

We can see the desperation in our rulers.  They could easily be trying to manipulate Russia into attacking us, or just fake the attack, so there's an excuse to go to war immediately.  Might even help them keep Trump from taking office.  I don't think that would play out the way they intend, but they didn't get this far by thinking like sane people.  They've also had years of immense wealth and obedient sycophants to gather resources and power.

Maybe the war was always the goal as a way to get "population reduction" and an excuse for a world government.  Or maybe they wanted it to get to this point and then Hillary or Harris or Trump will save everybody and then carry out the rest of the plan.  Or maybe it's just desperation and even the elites don't understand what they're inflicting on the rest of us.  Hopefully we'll live to find out.

Being optimistic, we can hope that they were playing the game.  They went along as long as they had to get this far, they've learned hard lessons, they were picked for ability and are all in line with a real plan to fight the tyrants.  Some or all of them may even have been chosen to get certain reactions out of the enemy, being able to identify who jumps out to criticize them and why.  Hopefully the lower-ranking appointees and staff are willing and able to follow through on this.

By now both sides probably have most of the dirt on each other.  They'll know what they can use in public, meaning that most of us won't understand what or how they're actually fighting each other.  By the end of January, we'll probably know if Trump is willing and able to bring some clarity to this war and if he's got a decent team working for him on the offensive.

So far, it doesn't look like the left has accepted this very well.  They do realize that they don't have any options to retaliate but they still refuse to accept the truth, so I assume this guy will be fired in short order.  Maybe some RINOs will feel sorry for him, but they're busy trying to figure out how to save themselves from Trump and this guy obviously failed, so screw him.

The invaders will probably also have advantages like drone, bioweapons, hand-held nukes and contact with these friendly Democrats to get even more help, including government funding.

The medics, the drug companies, the media, the schools, the courts, all of them have infected and perverted the system all through the line.  They get to create permanent victims, deluded into this very expensive mutilation and will need care for the rest of their lives.  The only way to stop it is for men to stay out of the entire situation.

The only alternative I can see is to execute everyone involved, from the courts on down.  Might as well include the kid since, accept or not, he is now worthless if he's still alive.  And even the father who didn't just walk away and is now also torn up for the rest of his life.  That's how bad this is.  Sad to say, I can't think of a better option than just cutting all this cancer out, a lesson to never inflict this on people again.

There's thinking that cow farts affect anything.  There's having people around you forced to agree with that.  There's having enough money to continue this delusion.  But who do they think will comply with their orders?  I'm guessing the goal was to control the world governments and impose cow poison everywhere, so this was probably underway when they expected to steal the election for Harris.

They probably also have hustlers on the side that will take complete control of the remaining food supply.  I don't know if Gates and Bezos are involved themselves, but rich leftists have been buying farmland for quite a while, so that plan is already underway.  That's how we know they're pawns, otherwise they'd be criticizing China and India for pumping out so much more pollution than the rest of the world.  Yet they stay silent about that, go figure.

And this was the closest they got to success with false allegations.  I keep seeing different definitions, but don't you have to be sentenced by a judge to be a "convicted felon"?  All the liberals repeating that term keep ignoring this.  It's like they're publicly announcing that they don't care what the law says, their accusation is good enough.

I'm also split on how much of these cases were actually thinking they could get Trump jailed and how much was just making him waste time and money for years.  It's possible they'll try again with something, but doubt their heart will be in it now.  Consciously or not, the left does seem to be realizing that everything they do makes him more popular and, if they pretend to believe in "democracy," makes him more powerful.

If they deliberately wanted to make him a martyr, what would the left be doing differently?  Maybe it's just a zeal for power that blinds them to this obvious fact, but I really can't see how they avoid seeing that this is what they're doing.  They've already proven that they're the minority - and just a few weeks ago they said the minority should be quiet - and if push comes to shove, they're the losers, so why are they still pushing this?

No word from Bono yet, but Reiner is the of the highest ranking celebrity elitists and now he's finally spoken out.  Last Wednesday, he made his first internet post, about what the left should do after losing to Trump.  This didn't go well, because the people who would pay attention to Reiner don't want to accept that Trump won, so they disagreed with him in public and now he's run away again.

The speculation is that he put himself in a mental ward.  It might be true in a technical sense, but he's too rich and old for anything like that to be taken seriously.  I suspect his current activities have more to do with a P. Diddy party than any mental health issues.  He'd want to keep in touch with other elites and they don't want the peasants to know what plans they have.

Most of this was on a new social media ap, Bluesky, which sounds like it's devoted to leftists.  I'm aware of twitter but have paid very little attention to it, so most of what I know is second or third-hand, but the left hated that Elon Musk bought twitter, so now that they lost the election, they're all going to bluesky where they can censor others who disagree with them.

That could be fun to watch, or at least pay attention to others who watch it.  This is where the left needs to restructure after such a big loss and they're not good at restructuring.  Now they have to put up with each other.  If they move back to twitter soon, it'll be a sign that they've learned something.

Something interesting is going on here as well.  Lawyers are doing something behind the scenes at Disney/ABC.  Their daytime show starring Whoopie Goldberg for women who have nothing better to do has always been throwing out attacks against Republicans, but now someone is keeping a watch on them and immediately calling in, so they have to read these legal notes immediately or it won't be good for them.

This week it's been covering Trump's appointees, but it won't stop there.  The left will be screaming "censorship" about this, but I'm more interested in what might be going on with Disney/ABC.  They were supposed to be in with the elites because they were going to put the head of the tv division in charge of the company because she used to be besties with Kamala Harris.  That plan isn't working out, so what are they supposed to do?

My theory is that Disney is the highpoint of the *woke* agenda with its money, its enormous amount of intellectual property collected over decades, its impact on children.  I still think the rulers are cult of demon-worshippers and Disney is a jewel in the crown.  The View is part of that and, for whatever reason, is quite relevant at the moment.

It's probably also about women arguing collectively about what they're supposed to do now, while still ignoring all the women who voted for Trump.  If they acknowledge those women, they need to punish them.  Otherwise they'd have to support a woman's right to choose and admit that they're doing a very bad job of that.  They have the laws, the corporations and the media, but chicks still don't comply.  What's up with that?

The uniparty is showing off as RINOs give McConnell to committee chairmanships covering federal spending and bureaucrats.  I would like to think Trump and his crew have some actual plans in place.  His nominee for attorney-general suddenly dropped out after some standard leftist accusations and has been replaced by a woman.  Not paying close attention but that one looked to me like the first pic was deliberately there as a target to see who would go after him, so now they know who to respond to.

There was also an agreement where the Senate was trying to cram through judicial nominees before Biden was too gone to sign any paper he gets.  But in exchange for accepting some of those nominees, the other slots would be left open for Trump.  It's probably a good thing, a sign that nobody will be happy with the results, and an example of why people shouldn't pay attention to how government works or want it involved in our lives.

There will be more conflicts.  The Deep State still has weapons to use although not as many as they had before.  Hopefully Trump and his crew know how to fight back this time but we'll have to wait and see.  They have people worried, Bill Clinton just did an interview on MSNBC with standard leftist rhetoric about how awful these pics were.  Why would Bill suddenly go out and talk?  You don't see Hillary and Obama doing that.  But they're planning something.

Another example of psychopaths who are paid to deliver objective neutrality in the news.  She's demonstrating how the left automatically hates family, American holidays and will make up lies about anyone for any reason.  They live in their bubble - they're rich, they can afford it - so they never have to face the consequences of their reports.  And they're all about "decency."

This just looks like another example of the left poisoning itself.  Many of those who would obey this are already broken and alone, so they have nobody to ban from Thanksgiving.  Others would just be even more damaged by breaking connections, leading to even more problems.  Then there's those who actually get along with family members who disagree who would wonder why this psycho posts videos telling people to do this.

I can't think of any historical precedent for this, the left seems to be going nuts on their own.  Those who are sane will see exactly the sort of people they've sided with all these years, while those who are insane will keep getting lower and lower, but there's no ground floor.  Just assume they'll do something that's as disastrous as possible for everyone.  At best we'll be wrong about that assumption, but that's the best option we have right now.

Just a random poll, nothing serious, but I think there's some truth to it.  Partially it's desperation, there aren't many others to choose from.  Sure, Biden could run again, but for some reason nobody's suggesting that, which is strange considering how popular he is.  Nancy Pelosi's nephew came a distant second place in this poll.

Partially there's just the need to worship an icon, the more blank and empty, the better.  They didn't pick Harris, she must magically appeared on the ballot and had nothing worth saying, so she must be wonderful.  At least on the scale of voting for a dead turnip if it could beat Trump, she's the most popular Democrat out there right now.  She still isn't having anything to do with the public, so there's the 'desire from afar' thing.

I think it's 50-50 she'll try again.  She's reasonably young and has no shame, so she's not likely to give up after one shot at the title.  She learned that from Biden.  But there's a downside to being in this position, she'd see herself at the top and would be surrounded by sycophants, while not actually doing anything.  She can't lead so there's nothing to do, meaning Democrats will need new options who can spend the next four years learning how to appeal to people.  So maybe they'll keep her and lose again, maybe they'll ditch her and have a chance of winning.

Still surprised how things have changed in the last two and a half weeks.  Trump could only win if the election was fair and here was no chance that would happen.  The right has had a sigh of relief.  The left hasn't even gotten around to looking at what the problems are, so they're just going to make things worse.

Hopefully this is just talking tough and doesn't mean anything.  Maybe we'll be lucky and there's elements in place that will overthrow our tyrants before things go too far.  Because otherwise, they could very easily see themselves at a point where they have nothing to lose and "population reduction" was always the goal.  There's also the property that Russia won't use missiles on Poland or anywhere else, they'll have bioweapons or something we don't expect.

There's also the possibility that they've already got a plan in place.  Russia just used an ICBM to hit a Ukraine defense plant, the first use of an ICBM in the history of war.  [Note:  supposedly it's been reported that this wasn't an ICBM, so... it just gets ignored?]  They may have decided the US is run by a bunch of wussies who want to look tough, so they'll just retaliate against their actual enemy.  Whatever we do to them, they'll do worse to their actual enemy that we're pretending to protect.

NATO doesn't have a ground-war option here.  Nobody is going to sign up to fight, as we see by all our militaries having such low numbers.  There's no chance of starting a draft in the next two months and nobody would comply anyway.  Even those who claim to support Ukraine don't have the guts to get into this, they only want others to die for the cause.  Still not sure how to define it, but this seems to be the true cause of war.

Republicans should have done this four years ago, grabbing your police and citizens to defy state and federal laws.  If they'd done that, the left would never have complained about an "insurrection."  As it is, notice that they don't even need to see if the police and citizens agree with this.  They're drafted into the war, no consent is required.

Normally I would say this is the left projecting their own views onto their enemies, but I must admit that I've spent the last four years thinking the USA is dead and would break up.  So to me it looks more like both sides are doing the same thing, essentially reflecting on each other.  Or it's just human nature in general.  There's a lesson to be learned from this but leftists as a collective aren't likely to get it.

This is why I've assume for years that we're headed towards Civil War 2.0.  It also puts Democrats in a similar situation as the first one, cities and state standing against the federal government.  It doesn't help that they've spent decades demanding the fed's superiority, but they're capable of mentally doing a 180 any time they want.  As always, I assume they have back-up plans and secret weapons, although that didn't help them in the recent elections, because otherwise they aren't capable of putting up much of a fight.
