This is going to cause some problems for leftists.  On the one hand, yeah, they totally support Iran doing that.  But on the other hand, they can't be open about it, and staying silent actually gives them time to think.  Do they really want to support Iran?  And either way, who's going to get the credit?  Muslims who submit to the will of God or the left who's just whined for years and waited for someone else to do the work?  The left has supported Iranian Muslim leaders before and it didn't work out so well.

A similar effect will be found among national leaders.  Trump took away their nukes and this is the reaction?  This shows that Iran is not the powerhouse they present themselves as and they don't have any better options.  Don't know how likely it is but it's possible this will increase conflict between the ayatollah and the government and military leaders who have to actually keep an eye on what's going on.

Notice that the war hasn't gotten around to starting yet, almost like the leftists complaining Trump was a warmonger didn't know what they were talking about.  They were trying to set up a peace protest at the White House yesterday and had to cancel it because of the ceasefire.  I'm still skeptical that it's working but we sure haven't heard of Iran or Israel attacking each other in almost a week.

Never heard of Azealia Banks and to the extent her statement is coherent, it seems very leftist.  She's already toured Israel and says she won't go back because racism!!!! so it's safe to assume where she stands.  That said, this probably wasn't her idea but it's still a good move.  Don't go out of your way to agitate your customers.  I'll assume her management told her to do this but she's not going to argue.

There's always the long-standing rule that entertainers should not get into politics, but it goes even further.  We saw that with Bud Lite and all the megacompanies following that example, just don't get involved in this nonsense.  Your customers will find somewhere else to go, you won't find any new customers.  We've seen this with Disney for the last few years, they ditched their old audience and no one will want to be treated the same way.

Then there's this mentality that insists on taking the IPs "someplace new."  That's not how you build a franchise that lasts for decades.  There's a reason we're not celebrating New Coke's 30th anniversary.  For that matter, none of these performers are going to perform in Gaza.  They're already going to be tied to that for the rest of their career and not even show the courage to go that far.

The point is that Banks and her peeps realize that if they tie themselves down to whatever's happening today, they'll be forgotten tomorrow.  That's most-likely what will happen anyway - just the nature of this line of work - but why increase those chances?  Nobody's trying to go down in history as having the first gay abortion in Gaza.

Say what you will about the nazis, without them you wouldn't have this chick in charge of MI6 and really, isn't that what the Brits fought for?  I'm still trying to decide if I want to amuse myself by making up a conspiracy theory about this.  These days, there's always a hint that history as we know it didn't really happen that way, so there was some other German attempt to infest the elites of Europe which led them to where they are now.  Not sure if there's any real evidence but it's a fun theory.

And this lines up with the "revelation" last week, the French media Le Monde finally discovered that Ukraine had sided with the Germans in WWII.  The rest of the world already knew that but there's the French for you.  So is there a connection?  Le Monde was formed just after the liberation of Paris in 1944 so it seems a logical target.  It would also explain the leftist obsession with Ukraine.

I think the details are less relevant than the basic leftist mindset, which always allows them to suddenly change to whatever suits them at the moment.  Back when communism had never really been tried, they supported Russia and lied about the starvation.  It was realized that communism needed to be in a more advanced society so they all loved Mussolini when he took over Italy.

Mussolini was just a thug who lusted after power but he inspired others and showed how this could work in an individual nation, so Germany followed his example with national socialism.  For a time, leftists liked Germany too, until it started arguing with Russia, then making peace, then invading, a typical example of leftist relationships.  Given how easy it is to re-write their own histories, it wouldn't surprise me if this is where the leftist tactic comes from of saying anyone they don't like is 'Hitler.'  They're doing what he did, just making him the bad guy.

I still can't figure out how or why this is tied to Ukraine.  There's funneling money but they could do that elsewhere.  It's relevant as part of Eastern Russia.  It's also where Russia itself was founded, Kiev used to be the capitol city.  The ties of nationalism seem very important to both sides but I can't figure out how they work.  But it does seem a way to get people involved, at least certain types, whether they're European elites or Ukrainian troops on the ground.

We just passed the first anniversary of the debate where Democrats finally had to admit that Biden might not be capable of running of POTUS and over five months into Trump 2.0, people barely remember Biden anymore.  He was forgotten that easily.  That's really the only down-side to Congress trying to look in on WTF his people were doing for the last four years.

Jill’s Chief of Staff Anthony Bernal was asked to testify the day after Staff Secretary Neera Tanden said she basically handled the autopen.  Bernal decided not to come in, so now Congress is giving him an order to show up or else.  What was he supposed to get for skipping out?  Did he hope we'd be at war with Iran or something and everyone would ignore him?

Bernal was cited a little while ago as being in charge, which I don't believe.  He may have had more authority than anyone else in the inner circle - Jill was probably not paying much attention to anything other than being treated as a queen - but others in the inner circle were also relevant, that's how they got there.  Anyway, you don't get to have that much influence and then just drop out.  If you think you do, you're the problem.

But isn't it funny how they all seem to be avoiding the obvious solution, just subpoena Biden.  He knows how to do this, or he used to anyway.  Democrats could tell him how great things were when he was around and he'd show how he's totally not senile by talking for several hours.  Well, we can understand why they aren't doing that but strange how no one outside the uniparty is even bringing up the suggestion.

Really?  Just that many pages shows how much pork it's full of.  And this is supposed to be the fiscally-conservative party.  Without even looking at how much spending there is, this looks like a bad idea no matter what.  If Trump doesn't get it, he'll look bad, if it passes like this, the rest of us suffer.  Maybe there's some plan where Trump will veto it but I can't think of any good outcomes if that happens.

I'm guessing they're trying to push it this week, a way to celebrate the Fourth of July.  I'm not optimistic.  Trump is riding high and will be in even better position if there's more success on foreign affairs, but that's about the only chance I see to making this bill happen and that's not even counting whatever's in it.

So will this be another bill we have to pass to find out what's in it?  Probably but that's just natural pessimism and not based on anything specific.  Just another example of why government should be minimalized as much as possible so it doesn't take so much money and doesn't need this many pages just to describe what the spending is.

So the NYT printed an official editorial about how this trans movement is damaging the gay movement because they're always going after kids.  The trans, that is.  Not the gays.  Sure.  Ok.  Anyway, it's taken a few years but suddenly gays realize that they don't do that and should speak out.  Real quick on the draw there.

But the gay rights movement was *supposed* to be about adults living their own lives.  That's why marriage was supposed to include them too.  Which just shows that they don't get how this works because there's no incentive for men to marry women if it's what gays do to each other.  There were already totally legal ways to make contracts about inheritance and medical decision-making and the like, no reason to get married.  But they insisted on it and got it so here we are.  You could tell by the way they didn't just shut up and go on with their lives once they got their hands on marriage.

This is the reason homosexuality was supposed to be kept behind closed doors where it really is no one else's business.  Making it public makes it other people's business and one side has to impose it on the other.  By taking the gay side, they've helped unleash the child predators and thrown biology out the window.  And that's not counting the impact of a couple generations of young women who have no chance of getting married because this is all they know.  At least the men can find hobbies and focus on their own productive interest but that doesn't build society.

Meanwhile liberals all see this as a win and a weapon to further impose on the world.  Of course they have to ignore every country that doesn't do this.  We see the "Gays for Palestine" signs but there's never any trans supporters.  "Give them one step and they'll take a mile" is a long-established saying for a reason and this is why.

The soon-to-be NYC mayor is causing some problems for his own side.  Killing Jews is fine but he shouldn't be so obvious about it.  Then all the rich white people who made him the candidate are worried that he'll raise taxes on them.  He really doesn't like whites, I thought that was why they voted for him.

Something about this is part of the New York state scene.  Mamdani beat Andrew Cuomo in the primary.  Cuomo was endorsed by the Clintons, just as Gillibrand was the chosen successor to Hillary's senate seat.  They're seeing a threat against their side.  Given that Cuomo's family history goes back through NYC a bit, I think there's something deeper.  And for that matter, Trump will always be a New Yorker at heart so I'm sure he has some plan underway.

The east and west coasts need to be dealt with.  More and more people are now seeing what the left will inflict on us so their election-theft mechanism will be watched.  Even other leftists must be worried because this could take them all down.  We see the problems with California but notice that the cults of New York haven't gotten any attention.  They get caught doing something horrific and then ignored with all the other news going on.  I'd have to look through the last several years just to find any of those that got attention.  But more is coming into focus with stuff like this.

This is showing the world that this is what leftists are, this is what Democrats do.  If any of them want to be seen as civilized, they need to do something about that soon.  The Titanic can see the iceberg getting closer, what are they going to do about it?

This will hopefully be the effect of yesterday's verdict that lower-ranking judges can't just dictate for the whole country.  That means the left has to pay lawyers to go into each district if they want to keep winning the way they're used to.  Sure , you can get Soros and other billionaires to fund them, maybe Nancy Pelosi can give some investment guidance, but's going to cost a lot of money.

So what will the Trump administration do about what's already been done?  I'm sure they have plans but there's still no clue what they can do.  Can't get Congress to pass more sensible laws because they would have done that already.  Can't run to the Supreme Court for everything and that wouldn't help even if you could.  Probably can't come up with any new cases that actually could be made national by a judge to set an example.  There's also one of the fundamental principles, to let different parts of the country decide for themselves what's best.

And what are the activist judges going to do?  They must be looking for options, especially Roberts.  I don't know where this is going to go but it's not over, not even close.

The word "baseball" gets thrown around a lot these days. Why would anyone do that?

I see a couple of issues with this, starting with the fact that we simply have no way to trust any reports.  It's not even about news from the war always being wrong or at least incomplete.  We can't trust the media reporting the news, we can't trust the sources providing it, we can't trust the government.  Furthermore, we can't trust Iran or the ayatollah, and even if we could, we don't speak Persian so we'd have to rely on translators.

For that matter, given the recent thoughts about about our leaders having an impersonator, that could apply to Iran too.  We'd have even less reason to know why they're doing such a thing.  Is Khamenei dead?  Injured?  Is he being replaced by one of the factions or does the entire Iranian government know they're faking this but it's more important that they appear strong?

So, given all of that, this could be a sign that the regime is weakening.  I just don't think the ayatollah would be all that used to wartime requirements.  The military forces have to prepare for war and get through it on a daily basis, religious leaders don't.  Looking it up, Iran really hasn't been part of a war on their home turf in a long time.  There are rebellions and border disputes, but it doesn't look like they've had any real conflict since Saddam Hussein invaded and that was just after the mullahs took over.

So if this really is Khamenei, he's probably in major shock after what he's just been through.  The soldiers guarding him are probably in more normal condition because they've been through training.  Even the political leaders are probably in better shape because they had to keep track of what Iran was doing to others.  A lot of their buddies may have suddenly died but they can turn to the ayatollah for inspiration.  And this is what they get.

So the ayatollah is weakened, the politicians have suffered a major defeat, the military can't do much about it and they don't even have nukes to retaliate.  Iran's allies, particularly Russia and China, have found something better to do and the Muslim world isn't really devoted to Iran either.  Trump and his peeps have spent several years negotiating with all these nations and now they've shown military dominance over a long-time enemy, all without an actual war.

I know I'm just being overly optimistic but holy f*ck!  If the reports we're getting are reasonably true, this is a perfect opportunity for the Iranian people to overthrow their oppressors and Make Persia Great Again.  And Democrats totally opposed that for almost fifty years.  There will be consequences.

Not listed in some of the articles, but I'm pretty sure all the rulings had the same 6 people against the same 3.  I think that's going to come standard from now on, assuming it wasn't already.  The only exceptions will be if a right-wing justice caves in [Roberts] but I suspect even that will become minimalized.  After four rulings like this, he'd have to run out and declare P. Diddy innocent or something to protect himself.  Better off to stay where he is.

The two newest members, both female, are even bickering.  The black one keeps making it clear that she doesn't understand anything and there is audio to that effect, over 4 minutes just from this year alone.  It may be a coincidence but she also ignores that the Constitution doesn't give judges authority to rule for the nation like this, and that she openly skips the boring legalese.  Her job involves boring legalese, how does she not know that after several years on the bench?

Three cases about related to sex, with abortion, porn and child predators.  The other one covered Trump.  Officially it's about birthright citizenship and POTUS authority to kick illegals out of the country but the Supremes didn't even bother with that.  That's actually kinda amusing, I'm not sure what will happen there, but they have stated that this is about the limits of judicial authority.

I'm sure this isn't a complete overhaul but this will give Trump a lot more leeway with his executive orders.  And maybe (God willing) this will get Congress off their ass to actually start making better laws now that the lower-ranking judges can't just shoot them down.  I would like to see some genuinely positive results but overall this looks good, at least as a starting point.

So how are the lower-ranking judges going to react?  I'm thinking of the district court judge who already decided to ignore the Supremes.  At a guess, I'll assume he'll give in because the alternative will end his career.  But then what is the left going to do about this?

What is going on?  I'm very distrustful of any trade deals with China or India, and distrustful of Trump for making them happen, but this just showed up without any warning.  The trade deals with Canada aren't really relevant, but it's our most infamous neighbor so it's a big deal to some people.  The Rwanda-Congo war was also a big deal for some people, but I haven't heard much about it over the last 30 years.

At some level, I don't even care if these are positive or negative developments, I'm just astounded that any POTUS is capable of accomplishing so many things across the entire world, and a lot of this isn't even noticed.  I can't say we're tired of winning because a lot of these aren't confirmed to be wins, but there are reasons to be optimistic.  But the left is just out there whining about what a tyrant he is and reciting their usual *woke* babble.  That's all they have to offer and they're deluded enough to think they can save everybody from this.

And it's barely been five months.  What are Democrats going to do if this is all successful?  For the last few days, I've been wondering that about Iran specifically, although it applies to most of these other events.  But what if the mullahs' only option is to run away now?  What would Democrats have to say about that?  They opposed it every step of the way so it's not like they can seriously turn around and say it's great.  And they'd still have to thank Trump for defying them in the first place, as he's done for the last eight years.

There's no evidence, but in the last week or so, I have gotten the impression that the left has withdrawn slightly.  Haven't heard about any more protests, not even the ones scheduled for next month.  They were all thrilled at the chance to fight for Iran but that doesn't seem to be working out well.  All they can do is support illegals and that leaves them with creatures like this.

Soon-to-be NYC mayor Zohran Mamdani wants to defund police but fund Hamas and transgender children.  Standard leftism but this comes off as more of a last gasp.  It just drives people away because the problem isn't the marketing, it's the message itself.  And the left's first reaction to any problem is to attack someone, even other leftists.  We see this with the attacks on Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling for agreeing there only two genres.  A conservative saying that would usually be ignored but another liberal must be publicly attacked.  It's not going to win over Rowling's fans or anybody else.

Basically it looks like the craziness has taken over the leftists in public so any of them with any sense - or who have handlers - are staying away from attention.  If Bernie and AOC are still doing a tour, it doesn't get any attention.  Nancy Pelosi is barely getting any more attention than Joe Biden and they're both quite old and weak these days.  Since they've never really built any replacements - they just assumed they could steal other people's kids - there isn't much in the way of followers who can take over.  At most there might just be some psychos like that trans telling people to go out and shoot government agents, but it's possible that modern leftism will just be 'past tense' in twenty or thirty years.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit writing.

I was not available to write today [June 26] because I had an appointment with the great Weird One.  I thought I was done spending money to go to any more concerts, but I saw Al was playing nearby so that went out the window.  If you can only accomplish one thing in your pitiful life, seeing a Weird Al concert is probably the best choice.  If you can only accomplish two things, you'll need to see a second concert.  This is the third time I've seen him and the first time I did not meet to get a picture and autograph, but that's probably Trump's fault.

The opening act was Puddles Pity Party, a clown who does cover songs.  A decade or so ago, he had a popular youtube video where he covers The Who's "Pinball Wizard" to the tune of Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison" and that was included in his live set.  Most of his songs were unknown to me, I assume they're from the big band era or Tin Pan Alley, but he's a very good singer and an entertaining performer.  Don't really get what this act is supposed to lead to, but it's a fun novelty, the sort of opening you might expect at a Weird Al concert.

Al and his band were as entertaining as ever.  I'm still astounded by the fact that his main musicians have been with him for over 40 years.  They're all quite old but this has been a beneficial career.  Still amazed at how many costume changes they throw in, how well they recreate the effect of the studio recordings as well as the music videos.  The funniest part of the show is still the guy holding Al's harmonica while they play [blanking on the title] "Piano Man" detailing the plot of the first Spider-Man movie.  Looking very bored and checking his watch when he isn't holding the harmonica up for Al to use.

It's a very-well planned light-hearted entertainment.  There's probably more going on than you can see from your own particular seat and it's clearly done in very specific detail.  You can see that with the several minutes of gibberish the band recites perfectly in the middle of the final song.  For that matter, there's all the video clips shown to get the audience's attention while the performers are changing costumes or whatever.

That is impressive in itself, that Al realized how early on he needed to keep access to his work on other IPs, so there's appearances from tv, movies and animation he's taken part in.  Just think of how many corporations he'd have to get through to have all of that footage available, then there's all the other celebrities included in it, as well as parodies of other celebrities from his other media work.  I never saw Weird:  The Al Yankovic Story, but they include a clip where they make fun of John Deacon of Queen challenging Al to do a parody of "Another One Bites the Dust."  How do you get Deacon's permission for that?  That's the thing about Weird Al, he can even get John Deacon's permission.  You try it, see how easy it is.

Anyway, the point is that Weird Al has prevented me from writing for over 24 hours, so he must pay for that.  Oh yes, he must pay.  Wait, did I say that?  What I mean was gosh, I sure like Weird Al!

If we can make everyone hear the mentality, we'll have created a heard mentality!

And Diddy's previous defense attorney quit rather than do this?  They didn't even have to make a case and charges are already being taken down.  Prosecutors are dropping charges of kidnapping, arson and human trafficking.  They say Diddy's bitches went along with it voluntarily, which does sound accurate.

So what was the point of this?  He clearly committed crimes and got away with it all these years, you'd think this would be the sort of thing they just list crime after crime after crime because they'd at least get something.  Or just send feminists out to order Diddy's women to open up about the abuse or the abusers will get away with it.  As always, leftists stay totally silent about things like this.

At this point, I'm doubtful Diddy will be seriously punished for much of anything.  Maybe they'll keep him in jail for a while just to pretend they're doing something, but they make all that noise and this is what it's reduced to?  It's believable that Diddy is a federal agent and this was conducted to get blackmail info on everyone in his parties, but then why bust him in the first place?  It would make sense if you're going to expose everyone who was part of his cabal but that's obviously not going to happen.

Don't really care about either of them but they both have reputation, so I'll give them credit for doing this.  An old white man is willing to do what Kamala Harris wasn't.  And still isn't, she could probably call up and go on at any time just to show the audience what they're missing.  Yet she can't be bothered for some reason, go figure.

Anyway, it sounds like Bernie gets hit with a few things that for some reason he didn't remotely expect.  Rogan compliments how well he sounds, even though he's a few years older than Biden.  It's not clear if Bernie is realizing that yeah, he's really old or how much they had to cover up Biden all these years.  If any Bernie fans are listening to this, they might be realizing that too.  Fortunately for Bernie, they probably aren't listening.  That's the kind of fans they are.

They bring up global warming, Rogan points out a recent article that we're actually in a cooling period, which Bernie admits he didn't read.  What, it didn't say what he wants to hear so he skipped it?  He's supposed to believe in "the science!!!" but doesn't actually pay any attention to it?  Then Rogan mentions the huge amounts of money being given to global warming advocates and businesses that sell whatever the latest trend is.  Why does a communist support that?  It's easier to just skip any of that and move on.

What will probably be most noted is Bernie bitching about billionaires, specifically Elon Musk, and then Rogan asks who the biggest donors to Harris were.  Well of course Bernie doesn't want to answer that because it contradicts his complaint about billionaires.  They're fine when they're on his side.  So he gets away from the topic and says it affects both parties and he'll shut up about it now.

Not sure if this will make any real impact on anybody.  Maybe Bernie if he actually thinks about this but he's gotten pretty far without having to do that so it seems unlikely.  This wasn't even Bernie's first appearance on the show, just showing how little attention I pay to them.  So of course I'm writing about it now.

I rewrote the headline for simplicity, but when I saw the original I thought it was about a leftist female who was arrested in Las Vegas two weeks ago during a protest.  She has no money either so she wants her lawyers to work for free, showing that she has no clue how money is actually earned.  She obviously has no job and just relies on funding from the government, or "other people."  Turns out this was about Hunter Biden.

Now there's a name we haven't heard for a while.  Back in the olden days, he was a big man around the federal government, and received a lot of perks from Hollywood and the elite class.  Yet somehow that's changed for some reason.  These are cases regarding buying a gun in Delaware and avoiding taxes in California.  I'm sure I've heard about both of them but don't remember anything, or care.  I'm just amused that now is the time he decided to stiff his lawyers.

You'd think just from his painting sales he'd be raking in money.  When was the last time you heard of some brand-new famous painter bringing in ten or twenty thousand dollars per canvas?  He flat-out admitted that he'd never painted before and suddenly he's making more money than normal people see over the course of many years.  Yet he's not willing to pay his lawyers.  Something doesn't seem right about that.

We know that he was just the middle man accepting bribes for his father.  What would be very interesting is if this is a set-up by the Trump administration so that he has to beg them for help.  That would go around any relevance for that pretend-pardon and he has to start spilling his guts on who he was working with all these years.  Or he's under watch anyway and will have to beg rich leftists for protection and the secrets can get out that way.  Or he might get executed by anyone who doesn't want that coming out.  But make sure nothing happens to Fredo Hunter while his father is alive.

Zelensky had to wear a suit?  He spent US taxpayer dollars on clothing?  Wasn't he supposed to be such a bad-ass that he didn't need fancy clothes anyway?  At the very least, he wasn't going to follow any dress standards for the people he wanted to beg more help from.  Hadn't done that so far, what's changed?

Summits like this probably happen regularly, the point was probably to discuss things like Ukraine and Iran, and tell the other members to start paying their full share.  We'll see if they live up to that but really, I don't see much point to this.  I guess holding these meetings in person makes it a little harder to spy on them than just doing it on the phone or computer, but otherwise I get the impression this is just another excuse for nations to pretend they're all united.

Which brings up a question, why is Trump so short in the released photos?  It's happened before.  I get that there are probably impersonators going around, probably for security reasons, but they really shouldn't be this obvious.  An actual imposter should be hard to identify, so why do this?

A little while ago, someone put out a bunch of different pictures of Joe Biden where it's clearly not the same person, which proves the point.  If you have competent people who look like Joe Biden, why would you have anything to do with the real one?  You can still keep him hidden most of the time, just send the same guy out occasionally to make public statements and sound coherent.  That would make stealing the election a lot easier.

In Biden's case, I do think it was always intentional to kick him out and install Harris.  But the impersonator could handle that too.  And with Trump, why would anybody need to do that?  Why would he even go along with it?  If there's actually a threat at the NATO meeting, just have him decide to not show up.  This just comes off as some sort of secret activities going on which don't fit into any sensible rationale.  Not just for Trump and Biden, but NATO, Ukraine, possibly Iran and more.

Only 79 Democrats voted for this, 128 voted against it, along with Republicans.  First of all, I'm curious who were the ones stupid enough to think this was a good idea.  Even if they knew it would go nowhere, they were just showing off to their voters who wanted the failure.  Maybe he's just getting revenge for being dragged out by guards during Trump's speech to Congress.

But clearly the majority of Democrats see that this isn't working.  Previous impeachments failed and this isn't even Green's first attempt this year.  If something fails, try it again and again, some people eventually see that as a bad idea.  Green and 78 other Democrats are not those people.  I'm curious how they're going to deal with this internally because it's becoming a bigger and bigger problem.

I haven't seen anything worth writing about but there's been any number of other recent stories of members of Congress just acting like lunatics.  Both parties, and Trump for that matter.  They're not acting like normal politicians, they're lashing out at each other.  Green and his ilk are completely wrong, but at least something like this is understandable, especially compared to, for example, Trump promising a ceasefire.  If it wasn't Trump, I'd assume he was drunk and stoned for thinking that would happen.  Green is probably both.

This happened yesterday, the Supreme Court ruled that the POTUS does have authority to kick out illegals and move them to other countries.  No one explains why they get to pick which country they're moving to if they don't want to stay in their home country, but anyway...  That lower-court judge immediately responded that he's keeping his verdict out there, he calls the shots.

So now the DOJ demands a more detailed explanation of the SCOTUS verdict.  This may be where the break in judges becomes obvious because the district judge cites Sotomayor’s dissent as his justification.  He's picking and choosing what he wants as an excuse to go his own way and ignore the higher court itself.  I'm not sure what would be worse, if he has no clue what kind of example that sets for others or if he fully understands and that's why he did this.

It probably won't happen but I would like the Supremes to send out a 9-0 order on why they have to be listened to.  Without that, this petty judge has no authority either.  I still think they're keeping their verdicts as minimal as possible precisely to avoid problems, but this might be a moment where they give a wider view of what's going on.  Or they ignore it or just support the district judge anyway.

The attack on the media is just typical Trump, his real attention is on Israel and Iran violating the ceasefire.  But it's not clear if they really did, or by how much.  It sounds like they were shooting at each other up until the ceasefire started.  Then, maybe, Iran fired something and Israel responded harder.  Doesn't sound like we're getting much news so that's not written in stone.

Why did Trump even say there would be a ceasefire?  Now he's responsible for it failing.  Who was this even supposed to appeal to?  Iran and Israel aren't going to listen.  The left hates Trump anyway no matter what.  The uniparty is a bit quieter but otherwise the same.  I'm skeptical how many MAGA would actually turn against Trump for getting us involved in this, but the possibility is there.  This isn't Ukraine, this *is* our business and it could get much worse.

Really, everyone's reaction seems to be minimal at this point.  Except Trump, which is why this claim stands out.  The Muslim world seems to be quiet.  I'm sure they're having it out in private but in public they mostly look like they don't want to be involved in this.  But whatever it is, it's not the *war* Trump was supposed to be starting.  Not sure what that means but at least it's something.

When was the last time there was a 6-3 decision that was even slightly different on who was on what side?  That could at least do that for novelty's sake.

No explanation is given here about why they made this decision.  You'd think that would be expected, even if it's just boring legalism.  But now the illegals don't get a pass and taxpayer-funded support and the government has jump through a bunch of hoops until a new judge comes up with even more delays.  At least that was shot down.

It's probably pretty basic.  You've got American citizens, those who are given official permission to come here, and everybody else.  That's why we have laws and enforcement.  We also have a commander-in-chief who can use the military to protect us.  That's part of the job requirements and the courts would have to go out of their way to avoid admitting that.

When is something going to be done about these activist judges?  It would be nice to think that it's one of those issues that can actually solve itself but it's not something we'll understand.  If the laws get applied correctly, the judges have to stay in line or be too obvious.  But we need to see more of this.

This isn't a very impressive response.  I've seen different numbers but Iran shot less than a dozen missiles at US bases in Qatar and didn't hit anything.  There's Iranian leaders talking about how big their response will be and it's just coming off as hollow propaganda.

They're not even showing any massive protests at the US embassy.  Ok, Iran doesn't have that option anyway but other Muslim countries do.  Either other countries don't really care what happens to Iran or their governments really need to prevent large gatherings of angry citizens.  If the governments look like they support Iran, they could targets of the US and Israel and they might be targets of their own people if the protests aren't controlled.

There's speculation that this is just at token reaction by Iran.  No evidence but it could explain a lot.  If they had anything big to respond with, they'd be using it.  They need to do something or they just look helpless which is a bad thing in the Muslim world.  There's even a chance, and more news articles coming out, that unlike leftists, Iran is sane enough to be willing to surrender quickly as long as the regime can stay in power.

But the "anti-war" movement won't work.  These same people have been demanding Ukraine keep fighting a losing battle and giving lots of taxpayer money and military equipment to make it happen.  You're not 'anti-war' if you keep picking wars to support.  At least Trump is clear that he doesn't want a long engagement or troops on the ground.

They're trying to set up a peace movement but don't even recognize how idiotic that is.  They have to support Iran to do that.  Iran's biggest allies are Russia and China in BRICS.  You're siding with Russia to oppose Trump when you spent the last eight years claiming Russia controlled Trump.  If anyone's being manipulated by Russia, it's the Democrats, although they have decades of experience with that.

Didn't he say the same thing a couple weeks ago about Israel and Palestine?  This does not bode well.  Unless there's a specific tactic here which laymen would be ignorant of, I really don't see the point of saying that.  One of those things that really is annoying about Trump is that he always seems to make a point of going the wrong way at the moment of victory.  Maybe that's why he gets so tired of winning.

I think both Israel and Iran have stated that they have not agreed to a ceasefire.  Israel keeps hitting Iran, including some interesting targets.  They've hit the Revolutionary Guards' main base, which probably didn't do much real damage but looks bad for these powerful leaders.  They also blew the gates off a political prison, giving victims of the regime a chance to escape.  Iran can agree to a ceasefire but I think Trump and Israel's priority is getting rid of the regime.

The son of the last Shah has announced he'll try to help overthrow the regime and, presumably, doesn't expect to be restored to power if it works.  We're clearly trying to get the Iranian people inspired to do the work.  I'm still being optimistic but this could work.  We're still in danger and Iran will still have many problems we have to face, but that means in less than six months, he removed a problem the US has faced for a half-century, fought inflation, seal the borders, kick out illegals, used the tariffs and cut a ton of government spending.

If this actually works, if the mullahs have to run away, then Trump would have enormous leverage to use on the country and the world with all these successes.  I know I'm just being optimistic, and there's still a lot to criticize about him, but wow.  What do Congress and the Supreme Court have to use against him?  Even the left is going to be so humiliated that a lot of them will actually have to think about what they've been doing.  What are they going to do, impeach him for beating Iran?

I assume we're pumping that message into Iran everywhere we can.  Not sure what coverage there will be.  We control the skies but they're probably not going to release trustworthy footage for a while.  Pakistan is probably worried, they're condemning the attacks just a few days after nominating Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize.  I guess they thought it worked with Obama so why not try it again.

Russian President Medvedev has also complained about this.  I guess he doesn't realize that Trump obeys Russia, at least according to leftists.  But maybe it's the English translation but his statement came off as very meaningless.  And some claims, Iranians are rallying around the mullahs and the rest of the world is offering Iran more nukes, just seems silly.

So far Iran's reaction seems to be minimal.  They're planning to shut down the Strait of Hormuz which would affect shipping out oil.  Otherwise I've only seen two reports of their sycophants attacking anybody in response to this.  There was a suicide bomber at an orthodox church in Damascus and, closer to home, someone drove a truck into a church in Michigan.  He tried to shoot some people and was killed.  Not sure if that actually qualifies as "suicide bomber."  Maybe he just couldn't find explosives quickly enough.

I would think 'that's not going to help' would be the reaction of most Muslims.  So it's a good question what they can really do in response to this.  This was why it was so important that Trump seal the borders and spend several months rooting out as many foreign operatives as possible before getting this going.  I'm sure we're not totally sealed off, especially on the internet, but to a large extent the enemy here is limited to what tools they can use against us.

That's gonna work real well.  She didn't mind when Obama and Biden bombed Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Syria and Libya.  IIRC those latter ones went on for a loooong time with no complaints from Democrats whatsoever.  So why is this different?  The War Powers Act of 1973 gives the POTUS authority to conduct 60 days of attacks without Congressional permission.

[Note, a problem with A.I. internet.  Joe Biden entered Congress in January 1973.  The War Powers Act was passed by Congress in October 1973.  Nixon vetoed it and Congress overruled him in November.  I found all this on Wikipedia.  I kept asking the A.I. how Biden voted on the bill and it kept saying he did not vote because he was not in Congress, which is obviously false.  On my third attempt, the answer was that he co-sponsored the Act.  That would mean he had to vote for it, right?]

But Democrats are not going to get very far claiming Trump is breaking some sort of law somewhere.  At best a few of them might try to use the 'I wasn't in Congress at the time so I get to complain' excuse but they'll still have to turn against old rich Democrats to make that argument.  What kind of world is it where you have to turn against your fellow leftists if you want to attack Trump?

And that's just the tip of the iceberg when they realize they need to side with Iran against Trump.  I know at least a couple Democrats have spoken out and said Trump did the right thing, we'll see how many agree with that.  This could be interesting.  Either the party needs to unite to support Iran, they need to admit Trump's not the corrupt idiot they've been saying he was for eight years, they need to fight it out amongst each other, or they need to completely ignore it from now on.  Haven't talked about transgenders and abortion for a few days, let's bring those up again to win some support!

Then there's the point that Obama and Biden made sure to give Iran a lot of money, preferably in cash.  The left has wanted to ignore that all this time but they may be running out of options.  If the mullahs are overthrown, they aren't going to bother destroying evidence of that, so whoever takes over would have an incentive to make it public.  How hard you willing to push this, Nancy?

So now we'll have to see what Iran can do in response.  I think they're on the defensive.  Their best option might be whatever forces they're funding in western countries, but even that will be limited.  Obviously (or at least hopefully) the feds should be looking out for homeland security.  The left can demand peace with Iran but there's not a whole lot about Iran they can compliment, at least not if they want to be taken seriously.  Israel has hit a few Revolutionary Guard commanders and Americans are being taken out of Israel.

I'm sure there's still danger but I think the point was to minimize it and handle things in a few strikes.  Trump will address the nation in an hour or two, probably just saying it's about promoting US strength and taking down the mullahs.  I hope he includes a few lines about how this isn't a real war and it's not going to last long, although he may not want to be held to a statement like that.  Or he'll just quote John McCain, "Bomb-bomb-bomb, bomb-bomb Iran!"

Think about it, what does blowing up a freeway do to help anything?  It's not going to stop ICE, it's not going to stop Trump, it's not going to promote global equality or gender warming.  At most, it could cause chaos and the left will be hit just as badly by that.  Even moreso because unless they have rich allies, they'd have no other competent help to turn to.  And this guy probably came close to success than most of those who try.

Something is going on in Minnesota.  Last week, a lunatic killed a couple of Democrats.  I was wondering if it was a set-up to blame the right.  Or just an actual lunatic because things are getting weirder.  But it's becoming clear that others are involved, even if we don't know who.

The murderer's wife has suddenly vanished.  She had been found with a lot of cash, guns and multiple passports, not sure if she took any of those with her.  She ran a private security company which, just a guess, may have helped her husband get access into the victim's home.  Did she push him to do this?  Was he trying to please her?  Maybe they're just working for a foreign power.  There are a lot of Muslims in Minnesota, any connection?

The killer is still alive, reportedly, and apparently written a letter to the FBI.  He says he was trained by the military and Governor Walz told him to kill a current Minnesota Senator so he could take her seat.  There's being too lunatic to be taken seriously and then there's being so lunatic that it's probably true.  So to answer your question, I dunno what this means.

But this clearly inspired someone else in the Minnesota government to try to do the same thing.  There's no evidence but I think that was deliberate.  It's like Bernie Sanders trying to tell people to attack federal employees, the left needs a show of force.  They'd only talked about it before, now they have to go through with it or be humiliated.

I wasn't actively aiming to watch it, but conveniently I was able to see Trump's speech.  It was quick and didn't say much.  He said this was the most dangerous attack, probably because it wasn't clear if Iran still had any air-defenses.  Well, if they do, they didn't bother using them.  So now they need to give up or there will be more bombings.

According to internet A.I., no POTUS has ever bombed Iran before, so that's a new accomplishment.  We may have had troops in the region during one of the World Wars or had secret agents do something but I'm guessing we've never hit them on their home turf.  If they have a way to retaliate, they need to do it now or lose a lot of their reputation.

Just a top-of-my-head guess, but I don't think they have anything to work with.  They'd have already used it if they did.  Now it's up to the mullahs if they can stay in power.  Hopefully Iranians will vote in person and they'll be gone soon.  Perhaps over the next week, Iranians and Muslims worldwide will be discussing it and by next Friday, they'll be ready to move.  Or maybe the regime will try to stop them and things will start early.

Just a guess.  Not sure why I'm being so optimistic but I really hope something like this was the plan.  If it does work, Trump will suddenly be in a position to reshape the world in a positive way.  Even some internet leftists are admitting that getting rid of Iran's nukes is a good thing so the left will just be going batshit crazy against each other.  This will leave Trump with time and influence to push some positive changes.  Fixing a problem we've had for 50 years will really help him in the public eye and with Congress.

Oh, suddenly they're open to talks.  They could have done that a week or two ago, what's changed?  As you can probably guess, I have been assuming that Iran is on the losing side of this conflict and the goal was to reach that point as quickly as possible.  Just the fact that they're suddenly interested in talking suggests they know they're losing.  Otherwise if they could take the hits they would and if they had anything to strike back with, they'd have already used it.

Reportedly they also want a ceasefire.  Haven't found anything specific but it is a normal tactic, particularly in Muslim countries, for the losers to get a five or ten year break so they can try again.  I would really like to believe that there's no way Trump or Israel would go for that but this is 2025.  There's not wanting a war and then there's giving up anything to keep the peace.

They're also trying cyberattacks.  Maybe bioweapons.  I'm sure Iran is trying to pull every string to get anybody who might be on their side to join in.  I've been wondering what Muslims will be doing at today's prayers.  Obviously they'd be discussing it but there's no what to guess what side they'd take.  For that matter, there's the Muslims in the west (Democrat voters), those in the Middle East who have to decide whether they side with Iran, and those in Iran itself.  It won't be decided today, but each side will make some points.  Then they'll need to think about how to respond over the next week or two.

This is just one of those things that you'd expect to be a no-brainer.  The commander-in-chief has authority to overrule the lower-ranking commanders.  There's more options to resist that if the lower-ranking commanders are actually doing their fr*cking job, which Newsom and the LA mayor were not.  Instead they were supporting attacks on government agents enforcing the law.  Not a good plan.

And what are the leftist elites supposed to do about it?  Haven't heard anything about the California protests for a while.  I think they realized that they need to at least act like they want to keep their citizens safe.  It doesn't look like they're inspiring many others to get involved.  There's already an announcement of the next nationwide protest.  It's next month on a Thursday, when most people have jobs.  Not going to get very far if you leave them out of the discussion, unless all you want is power in which case you'd want fewer people around

It might not happen with this incident but I suspect any leftists with actual sense are realizing that this doesn't work very well.  Their followers are the ones causing problems and you're not going to get very far defying the law.  Without USAID, they must be having funding problems too so their people will need money.  It's not like the rich leaders will give up their own money.

I hadn't even looked it up when writing the above but this is one of the congressmen who tried to visit Kilmar Abrego-Garcia.  So yes, they are very involved in slavery, which is a Democrat party tradition.  But when is this going to be made public?  We're already in Civil War 2.0, releasing this info would make that more obvious to everyone.

Spain has already said that the money it spends to fight global warming replaces whatever they could do for NATO.  Other nations may not be as explicit, but that's the basic mentality here for next week's summit.  Most NATO members are demanding war yet aren't willing to actually go through with it.  This isn't going to go well for them.

At this point it looks like NATO's ready to fall apart without anyone firing a shot.  We know Trump wants to stay out of the warmongers' business and they don't like him anyway but they don't seem to have realized what they'd have to do if the US wasn't there to fall back on.  They need to deliberately ignore a lot of history to think they're in good shape now.

I don't know what Trump should do about this.  The obvious answer is to ditch NATO but you can't just break commitments and ditch long-time allies.  As much as we might want to leave, such connections exist for a reason.  Trump wanted this job so it's up to him to come to a decision.  There's what saves the most time and money but also what causes the least damage to everyone else.  At least Trump will think about these things, how did the European leaders even get to this point?

I'm being a bit cynical on that although as I've said, I think Trump is handling Iran the right way.  We're probably not out of the danger zone but we're close, that's probably what Trump is referring to here.  Israel is doing all the heavy lifting, at least officially.  I'm sure we're helping in some ways, that's just not going to change, but we should be minimizing it.  If nothing else, Israel needs to know it can't always rely on us.

Trump also says they might be ready to start negotiations again in two weeks, another indicator that something is going on now.  It's possible that we were finally able to hack into their main computers so anything that's kept there is now ours.  That would include all the blackmail info they have on Americans.  I'd like to think that the Trump team is getting ready to use that.  And for that matter, maybe the mullahs and their elites have already given up and they're just negotiating how to protect themselves.

Just someone on tv saying this but this does seem to be getting louder.  Since Trump won the election, the left clearly has refused to learn anything, and many of their subjects are tired of that.  It's still going to be two years before the next election season and they're just repeating the same nonsense about how Trump is failing at everything and everyone hates him.  This has been going on for over eight years, it's time to try something else.

Not going to cite any details but some new poll somewhere says 62% of Democrats think the leaders are too *woke* and that needs to change.  If it's the sort of poll Democrats would trust, that's yet another sign that they've got major problems.  The people being polled kept mentioning the trans movement as something that really isn't important to most people but the leaders are obsessed with it.  There's crime, illegal immigrants, the economy, the war, a lot of other things that affect more people, which Democrats ignored when they were in charge.

Obviously we're not going to hear about how much less money the party's sub-groups are getting now that DOGE has taken down USAID and other funding.  We also won't hear about those how many in the party are just no longer showing up.  Maybe because they aren't being paid, maybe because the leftism has become too, what's the new buzzword? "toxic."

Because we've never seen anything like this before, it's impossible to guess how far it will go.  The left has suddenly lost a large amount of support they always expected to be there.  How much more will turn out to have always been an illusion?  How long will they continue to double-down on the very things that put them in this position?  They've infested virtually every part of society so that's how deep the reactions will run.  And we're only five months into Trump 2.0.

Something that might be more relevant is that last weekend, on the day of the riots and the Army's birthday, two of our self-appointed royal families united.  Hillary's true love Huma Abedin was assigned her latest fake marriage, George Soros' son Alex.  It was a very expensive wedding and no liberal dared complain about all the waste for an out-of-date institution.  Just think of how the government could have used that money instead.

Soros must be planning for what happens to his money when he dies and it looks like Alex is the puppet who will receive it.  He doesn't seem to have a known social life, it's like he just suddenly met a woman a dozen years older than him - he'll turn 40 in a few months - and was assigned to her.  It's not like they're going to have any children so that part of the family tree is over.  Maybe the Clintons are just trying to fill up time for the last few years of their own lives.  But this is something Congress could be looking into.

Sounds like basically nobody is listening to her podcast other than to get hints that her marriage is in trouble.  In this instance, she says she's glad she didn't have a son because he'd be like Barack.  That's kinda messed up.  Either your husband is that horrible of a person that you shouldn't be with him or he isn't and you don't want boys to be like that.  You'd rather have the bad ones.

A month ago, she had Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky and was clearly flirting with him, about how she'd be with him 'if I was single.'  He's rich but aren't there any limits among these people?  I'm getting the impression that she's doing this podcast in an attempt to have something going on in her life that's not centered around her husband.  It's not going to work, especially with the lifestyle she's been used to for the last couple decades, but it's something.

I'm still astounded by how quickly Obama and Michelle vanished from public attention.  Naturally there's a reduction when he stopped being POTUS, that's kinda the point, but I was under the impression he wasn't going to go completely private afterwards.  Maybe because he's black, maybe because he's one of the younger POTUS we've ever had, yet that's exactly what he did.  [Obama was the 12th youngest POTUS ever elected.  Bill Clinton and JFK were the only two elected younger than Obama and born in the 20th century.]  As little respect as I have for Obama, I still expected him to be able to do something in public for the last eight years, because that's the sort of thing he was elected for.

It's just pre-ticket sales, but a few days ago we heard how it was doing way better than Fantastic Four.  The FF will come out later but Marvel is so desperate for an audience that they opened pre-sales early just in case.  They even claimed that pre-sales were doing so good that the computers broke down trying to handle them.  That didn't happen for previous movies like Endgame but it means a hit, right?  And then it didn't even happen for the new Superman.

And now that movie's already running out of steam after a few days of pre-ticket sales.  Did the Barbie movie have problems like this or was Barbie able to overcome difficulties in ways that Superman would never consider?  Whatever, clearly people are not interested in spending money on this stuff anymore.  You can argue that it's superhero fatigue or overall Hollywood fatigue, but it's still interesting.

Marvel and DC really need a success at this point.  They've spent insane amounts of money trying to build and rebuild their franchises and it's just making things worse.  I still think their goal is an Avengers/JLA crossover that comics fans waited decades for but that's not how the movie industry works.  At best it's just mediocrity and otherwise it's *woke* propaganda and only the studios want it.  Nobody else will pay for that crap.

Disney and Warner have ruined their franchises which took decades to build.  I'm not sure they can ever be recovered but it would absolutely require someone in charge who wants to do what actually worked for all those years instead of what they're doing now.  And where would you find someone willing and able to do that?  Just to find anyone competent, these companies would need to guarantee a buttload of money even if the people they hire fail completely.  No one else would take the job.  Maybe they expect A.I. and streaming to save everything?
