It looks like they've picked a scapegoat.  He's a leftist billionaire so now they've finally found a reason to blame him for everything.  They can all turn against him and it'll be safe.  Strange that they're not turning on his ex-wife who spent a lot of time with him and knew what he was doing and has stayed quiet about it ever since.  So far Gates hasn't really come out and complained, like he has any reputation to protect.  It's like he just accepts that he's the fall guy, although he has said he doesn't know what Epstein was talking about in the relevant emails, almost like Epstein was looking for a reason to attack Gates!!!

Haven't heard much about Simpsons creator Matt Groening for a while, we know he was a friend of Epstein.  The internet says the only mention in the released records so far is that he introduced Groening to Nobel Prize winner Muhammad Yunus who pioneered microcredit and microfinance and would appear on the Simpsons shortly after the meeting, which Epstein took credit for.

As far as I know, the only other known connection between Groening and Epstein was when Groening flew on Epstein's plane and wasn't remotely surprised to find a 16-year old girl available to rub her hands on his body.  Specifically his very dirty feet.  He doesn't seem to have had any questions about exactly why a young girl was just waiting for him like this, suggesting it happens regularly for him.  Which raises some other questions but, as Groening is a rich leftist, I'm sure nobody is permitted to ask.

I doubt this will be relevant to most people any time soon but I was immediately grabbed by the suggestion of a "schism."  We're talking about the Catholic Church so it may not happen tomorrow but they have had to face challenges across centuries.  And "traditionalists"?  Right there you have the sort of thing that makes me want to give them tons of support and I'm not even Catholic.  [I was baptized but I was a baby at the time and really don't think that means anything.  And if I'm wrong, well, at least I was baptized.  It's probably better than not being baptized but still being wrong.]

There is a group in Switzerland, the Society of St. Pius X, who rejects Vatican II at least so far as they still practice Latin Mass and have consecrated bishops without papal consent.  Vatican II happened in the early-60s and was about 'modernizing' the Church.  You can probably understand why my first response is that we need more like this Society going on.  I'm pretty sure I've never heard a Latin Mass but I'm a complete supporter of religions speaking the actual language of the people they're talking to.  By the way, that goes for Muslims as well, we aren't learning Arabic to read the Koran, get over it.

Given my ignorance, obviously this is all speculation but it's appointing the bishops that really strikes me as an important move.  So aren't they effectively forming a new church, one based on the older, deeper forms of Catholicism which actually lasted for centuries?  And, at least in a very minor sense, they are growing with more believers.  It'll probably be a long time before they're any threat to the Church but everybody has to start somewhere.

I'm not even going to fantasize what might happen if the *woke* church is much closer to collapse than we expect.  I'm ambivalent on the value of organized religion but given how large and old the Catholic Church is, there must be something there.  But they have been corrupted and ruined by leadership for a long time so maybe something's going to happen there.  God only knows.

This is one of those O’Keefe operations where someone suckers people into telling the truth when they don't realize they're being filmed.  This guy was immediately kicked out of the building after talking but that doesn't mean we shouldn't worry that this is what's happening.  All of these things are being exposed and nobody's being punished for it.  Americans have a legitimate reason to worry that's never going to change.

It would be nice to think that the administration is building to something to get enough people pissed off that the left has no chance to steal the midterms and realize how pointless their resistance is.  But the problem is that we haven't gotten enough to justify that so far.  It's been over a year and no one is getting punished.  I think this is as likely to lose supporters as to gain any.

Another problem is all the cancer running through the government.  This guy could be tricked into saying this stuff, probably talking to a hot chick, but that means there's a lot more who haven't been caught.  I'm really not sure it's possible to get rid of all of them and even worse, there's no reason to expect this to continue after Trump is gone.  We need to see an overarching policy with clear steps along the way and haven't gotten any of that.  At the very least, we need to see actual progress.  Trump's a showman, how can he not recognize that?
