□ [“Minnesota Children’s Hospital Snubs Trump’s Executive Order, Resumes Sex Change Procedures on Minors"]
We've been seeing this with judges, some cities and states have started doing it, now we're seeing a private business - I'm assuming - refusing to obey. It's a valid question how much they're actually required to obey, or what federal funding they get, what other Health Department regulations there are. States and judges have some leeway in places and none in others. The left is trying to get organized defiance.
Is mutilating children the primary goal or is that just a bonus to defying Trump? Trump Derangement is strong in these people but it's just hurting their own side. For the last year or so, we've been hearing otherwise-devout Democrats point out their party is going too far. Even some celebrities and politicians are saying 'stop pushing this stuff.' But you don't get any Republicans suddenly demanding taxpayer-funded cutting off children's genitals, now they've seen the light!
In a way, I'm really surprised that there hasn't been more of this. I've been predicting Civil War 2.0 for over twenty years and we're obviously at that point now, it's just that the left has nothing to work with. At least the Confederacy had men with guns who would would vote Democrat and still go out to fight battles against the invaders. The left has done everything they can to get rid of that. About all they can do is hope they've taken over enough of the institutions that these judges, cities and businesses will defy the federal government and win.

□ [“Ireland Is Rising Up – Government Brings in Tanks to Stop Anti-Globalist Protests"]
Stop teasing me! We've heard about protests like this for a few years in England and France, I think also Spain and Germany. And they haven't gotten anywhere with that. I don't see much hope here either. I only see two options, if the soldiers join in with the protesters and/or if the protesters all go on strike. They're farmers, the cities will quickly fall without them.
It's clear that Trump and whatever movement he's part of have been pushing this globally, probably as an opposition to globalism. Most of us see Europe as the main target outside the US, just because that's where civilization came from. It would be nice to make an argument that it should start in Ireland where they already have centuries of experience opposing the noble, heroic, wonderful English - note to self: check on that - but I don't care where it happens so long as it gets started immediately.
Can't think of anything we've heard from the EU in a while. There's been enough resistance to them that I suspect they're deliberately staying quiet. They're playing the long-game, as long as they stay in charge, victory is inevitable. Of course they've spent a few years trying to push war with Russia which mean they need to call NATO and that's having its own problems.
I go back and forth on whether globalism has always been around or if it has a particular starting point. I'm sure the modern version came from all the talk about a united Europe but even that goes back a few centuries. As does the government's need to keep the people down. So what do the Irish have to contribute to this discussion now?

□ [“DOJ Launches Investigation into the National Football League"]
Yay, another taxpayer-funded investigation! Because there's been so much accomplished with all the other investigations going on that of course there's plenty of time and personnel available to look into something else. To the extent I understand it, this sounds like it's about the ridiculous complexity of the NFL media through contracts and the addition of streaming. I guess that makes sense, assuming I understand it, but it sounds like a piece of a bigger puzzle, the ridiculous and infuriating complexity in every aspect of modern life. I don't really see the NFL as being to blame for that.
I do suspect the enemy is using this sort of complexity to expand. I've always been returning to the amount of money laundering and fraud going on through countless organizations and the NFL would certainly be part of that. So in theory, I'm not against the idea of investigating them, I'm just making the point that time is going away forever and we still aren't getting anything from any of the other investigations.
There's even an argument in favor of this, the elitist left has always been part of the biggest institutions, even from the ground up. Not saying that's been the case with the NFL but it's at least possible and I'm sure they're involved anyway. I always use DOGE as the example, looking into where the money is going for these franchises, for the stadiums, the media and advertising. There are reasons to look into this but it also just looks tyrannical. If the Trump administration was just looking for enemies whether or not there were any, what exactly would they be doing differently? You can support this and still see problems brewing.

□ [“JD Vance’s Task Force Uncovers $6 Billion in Potential Fraud, Begins Taking Action"]
They're looking into government contracts, specifically with the Government Services Administration. As a supply sergeant, I did a lot of orders through GSA so I'm curious what they'll find here. Unfortunately federal government contracts and similar connections are probably where they'll be looking most, not sure what authorization they'd have to check states or private business. But there's already been quite a few hints that they've found a lot of fraud.
□ [“California Attorney General Charges 21 Suspects in $267 Million Hospice Fraud Ring"]
IIRC, this is the first time since the whole thing went down last year that a state has started prosecuting people for fraud like this. Before that, Minnesota had pointed to the dozen-or-so Somalis they've been prosecuting and that's it. Cities and states were otherwise willing to ignore it entirely, especially if they vote Democrat.
But there's a limit to how long they can do that. Just because they're 'blue' states doesn't mean there aren't a lot of Republican voters who (theoretically) have as many rights as Democrats. And all it takes is a few Democrats to ask where this money is going for the state government to see huge potential problems. There really are issues that can't be solved by "Orange Man Bad!"
But maybe that's why've taken so long to find someone to go after and pretend they're really against this fraud. Who is the easiest to take down and has the fewest allies to protect them? Or who would have the fewest politicians connected to them that would be exposed if the federal government starts looking into this? Newsom rushed to make a public statement that California has lead the charge to fight this sort of fraud. And no one heard anything about that before. One reason criminals are punished in public is to remove any incentive for other criminals to do the same things and think they'll get away with it. I guess California didn't lead there.
I do assume there will be more exposed. Everyone in authority will see a reason to not protect the fraudsters and the pace will speed up. There will also be a reason for the accused to turn against each other to save themselves. I'm still trying not to be too hopeful but this could get really big. I just hope we're still alive to see that.
