Wow, when I went to bed last night, Iran still existed. Glad that's over with. One less problem to worry about. Oh wait, this was supposed to be tomorrow's headline!

□ [“Trump Announces Double-Sided Ceasefire, Suspends Iran Bombing for Two Weeks – Iran Accepts"]
Great, another two weeks, then we get to do this again. You were supposed to permanently solve the problem by blowing up the country. These aren't white people, just give them a taxpayer-funded late-term abortion. Do I have to do everything?
Slightly more seriously, Trump had been putting out some pretty good threats the last couple days. "A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will." He'd proven he had the authority and the power to do it. He also did a good job of showing he'd go through with but that's debatable since we aren't the targets. You could make the argument that he was going to cave in and if that's how you see it, this was all the evidence you need.
Really, Iran itself is the main proof that they took Trump's threat seriously. As always, there's no proof that the news reports are true but reportedly they were trying to make the same threats. Difference is they have no way to carry them out. They weren't even going to talk to us anymore, they had lost all restraint and were going to destroy everything on our side. US infrastructure and oil supplies would be gone, also for our allies. Why didn't you do that a month ago? More of your leaders would still be alive, at least assuming your attacks worked. This comes off like a boxer several rounds into a match deciding that if the opponent hasn't fallen yet, maybe try hitting him really hard next time. You warned him but he didn't listen.
The CIA director says they were really embarrassed about how they finally show down one of our planes and we had this massive operation to rescue the pilot. I do wonder if that was the point, showing how far the US will go to protect our own. Meanwhile, reportedly, Iran is sending children out to stand in front of the power plants we're expected to be bombing. I'm not saying they're definitely doing that but, well, it's a third-world Muslim country, they're definitely doing that. It also shows why they really don't have a chance against us.
Pakistan has gotten involved. They're one of those countries nobody thinks much about so there's no way to know what this means. A nuclear power, they've applied to join BRICS. Trump had stepped in to stop them from going to war with India and they nominated him for a Nobel Peace Prize because of that. Now it looks like they rushed in to handle the negotiations and both sides agreed.
The US will not blow up the country, Iran will re-open the Strait of Hormuz for two weeks and they will resume negotiations. Trump has said Iran's 10-point deal is a good place to start, I hope he didn't mean that seriously. Also anecdotal but it sounds like Iranians, in the country or immigrated elsewhere, are constantly posting on line that they support the US getting rid of this regime, no matter what it takes. I really hope we're still working on that.

□ [“Kamala Harris Tripped Up by Her Own Words After Hot Take on Trump's Iran Deadline"]
She says how horrified she is at the threats Trump is making against Iran. Someone responds by tweeting her own statements just a couple years ago about "all options being on the table" to stop Iran who is "our biggest adversary." You can say she's wrong about that but her own stated beliefs would be supporting what Trump is doing.
I think there are multiple goals being pursued with the attack on Iran. And 'most everything else Trump is doing, that's why I don't go straight to disappointment when he's not living up to our expectations. It's not just knowing that the left will go bonkers no matter what he says or does, it's specifically planning what to say and do next because of the specific way the left reacts.
In this case, you have one of the main 2028 contenders deliberately contradicting herself and probably has no clue what she's saying. Similarly, the left is outraged by the sudden rise in gas prices, they ignore any deaths Iran had caused their own people. They've insisted for a few weeks now that Trump has completely LOST this war of his own making, despite Iran openly being at war with us for decades and they no longer have a military.
All of this gets ignored to continue the Trump Derangement Syndrome and even some of their own people must be noticing. Iran sends kids out to stand in front of the power stations and be martyrs if the US attacks. That's a bad thing. Every member of Congress is briefed on the dangers Iran has posed against us all this time and then they have to go out and deal with their own people who side with the mullahs. And this is the party that installed Harris as candidate without needing a primary and saw no problems with that.

□ [“Kanye West Banned from the UK for ‘Past Antisemitic Comments and Celebration Of Nazism’"]
This is just weird. The UK has no problems with Jew-hatred, just look at all the Muslims they allow in. It makes no sense why Kanye would be their biggest problem. He would have been headlining a festival and this made a number of sponsors drop out, that's the reason this became an issue. I get that the government would feel something should be done about this but I doubt Kanye cared much so why would they?
Meanwhile they still haven't done anything about the Pakistani gangs going after children. It was recently pointed out that 79 members of the Labour party have been charged or convicted for going after kids. 79 predators in a single political party and you're not going after those connections but oh those horrible things Kanye says!!! Your priorities are far out of whack.
I'd like to think we're doing something to fix Britain but, well, look at it. This is just depressing. And why is Kanye still famous? Is there some reason he's not sharing a cell with P. Diddy, instead he's expected to headline a festival? This is not what Britain built and fought for all those centuries.

□ [“Boston Sends Social Worker to Respond to Emergency Call – He is Attacked With a Sword"]
Do you want to go extinct? Because this is how you go extinct. It's not clear if he was actually hit with the sword but the only reason for that is because there were armed police officers with him. The attacker is dead. What you wanna bet if the social worker wasn't there, the officers would have handled the guy without killing him?
There's the same old standard arguments, poor neighborhoods are the only place liberals want to prevent law and order from protecting citizens. Democrats expect armed guards to keep them safe. We're still putting up with 'defund the police' after all these years by people who refuse to learn from their mistakes. This is why the 2nd Amendment exists.
Not sure how it could be done but I'd like to see a poll of police officers to see how many of them really don't like this sort of rule. And those who don't, they should just form their own law-enforcement groups. The left wants them out of government service anyway and doesn't see how this could go wrong. Might as well let them handle it themselves and the right can protect its own people. Maybe I'm just being negative but the fact that they're still doing this idiocy after all these years is tiring. They want us to break up, let's do it.
