□ [“Speaker Mike Johnson Cancels Friday House Votes"]

Didn't have an explanation and he'd cancelled days of votes last month too.  So the priority isn't to do his actual job.  He is not working to get the Trump agenda passed, which the majority of voters wanted.  This indicates that he's not worried what voters will think of this, Congressional refusal to anything.  Other members of Congress are not complaining about this either.

It's not just that they get paid whether or not they do anything.  Congress just isn't going to do anything to help Trump.  They're like the Supreme Court that way.  It's not that they're actively working against him - as far as we know - but it's even worse.  They're just sitting there as dead weight which Trump has to carry around even as he does the rest of his job.

And that's just the members of his own party who has the majority of Congress.  By refusing to do anything, they can look for excuses to accuse Trump of trying to be a dictator.  Meanwhile the opposing party can look for ways to assassinate him.  Pretty sure members of Congress can afford hitmen and help them avoid legal punishment.

Just to note, there are a few members of Congress who are pushing to get Trump's executive orders into actual law, but until there's actual progress, I'll just ignore them.  They get paid with taxpayer money whether they succeed or fail.

□ [“O’Keefe Media Group Releases First-Ever Footage From Inside Epstein’s Private Island Mansion"]

He said the footage was taken a year or so after Epstein's arrest.  If true, that means it's been around for a while.  Not clear how they would gotten around on the island, you'd think whoever's still in charge would have security guards and cameras.  Even if they've gotten rid of all the evidence, you don't want homeless yachters to come by and take over your pad.

The next issue is why they've been hanging onto these videos for so long.  If there's anything relevant, why wasn't that immediately put out to the world?  If there isn't, then who's responsible for that?  And putting these things out one short clip at a time, what's the benefit in that?  I get that (as far as we know) O'Keefe has to support himself and his organization, so they'd need the best form of promotion to get donors.

Then there's the fact that the P. Diddy trial is going on right now.  Haven't checked for today's reports but what we've heard so far is suspicious but not all that detailed.  It's quite obvious that Epstein and Diddy were doing the same things and with their social status, a lot of the same people were probably involved.  It's the nature of celebrity, the rich perverts would want to meet their favorite musicians or actors or athletes and those people probably wouldn't have become famous without going through this already.

So the footage doesn't have much detail.  There is a painting of a naked boy holding something, the sort of image that there's just no reason anybody would want except for evil reasons.  A whip partially made out of bone.  A chalkboard with a series of words that don't make a lot of sense.  “Power,” “Deception,” “Mirror in Face” and “Dank Brain” are cited, I recognized the word "Plants" but that's really all I could see.  Of course O'Keefe said he'd love it if we could help discern what this meant, even though he didn't bother to show it clearly.

I suspect "plants" is for mystical use but obviously there's no way to know.  Putting this out while the trial is going on is deliberate but infuriating.  There's no reason to keep this secret, but all we're allowed to do is wait for something relevant to eventually be released.  That only helps the wrong people.

□ [“FBI, DHS, Secret Service Investigating James Comey Over Trump Assassination Post"]

This would be more relevant if they were going after any of the other people who've been demanding Trump be assassinated.  Comey used to run the FBI, you don't think he doesn't know people who know people that could carry out his orders?

Comey posted on Instagram a picture of seashells making an 86 47 and said “Cool shell formation on my beach walk.”  "86" as in remove or get rid of something and "47" as in the 47th POTUS.  Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer had posted "86 45" in October 2020 and was investigated for the same reason.  But Comey cries that he had no clue what any of this meant, he just posted it anyway.

Obviously there's no *proof* that he's trying to get Trump assassinated.  And to be fair, leftists are just generally violent people but don't have any sense of direction.  He could be raging in public about Trump and then go home and take it out on his wife and the left would ignore that.

Just another example of law enforcement pretending to be doing something but making sure to stay far behind the actual criminals.  Do they have an actual leader trying to make things happen or are they just babbling like the leftist stereotype.  So far it looks like there's only one way this can end and it won't be good for Trump, so who's doing something to prevent that?

□ [“Clarence Thomas Drops Perfect Line During Oral Arguments Over Nationwide Injunctions"]

We will need something more dramatic and decisive, but in a normal world, this would be exactly the sort of thing that would straighten out judicial problems.  The Solicitor General is pointing out that district courts have issued 40 universal injunctions since January 20th, 35 of which come from five judicial districts.  This is an abuse of power, overruling the federal government.

Thomas asks when these universal injunctions started.  The answer was 1963, although arguments have been made that the first one was in 1940.  Thomas' response is “So we survived until the 1960s without universal injunctions.”

That's what a judge does, points out a direct line in application of the law, or lack thereof.  The courts dictating for the nation was not required and it doesn't seem to have been added for any serious reason.  The Solicitor General agrees with Thomas and points out that even then it was rare.  This didn't become common until 2007, which was two years after John Roberts became Chief Justice, by the way.

I'm curious what issue would have started these.  If Democrats were involved, it's probably something to do with race, but near as I can tell, that's not the case.  Haven't found the one from 1963, but other precedents cover a court verdict handling other newspapers, not just the one on trial, or the production of metal in preparation for WWII.  As soon as I started looking at these cases, they get very boring with legalese, but someone else might find something interesting.
