Here's an odd thought about cartoon history.  Max Fleischer invented the rotoscope which helped animation on a realistic human form.  His brother Dave would be the model for their first cartoon in 1918.  Their character was used repeatedly and was eventually named Koko the Clown.  This was a landmark of early cartoons and led to the Fleischer studio.

In 1924, Koko was given a pet dog, Fitz.  In 1929, legal issues with their distributor, Red Seal Pictures, led to Koko being placed on hold.  They renamed Fitz "Bimbo" and continued using him in Talkartoons.  After several cartoons, Bimbo chased a female dog who was more-or-less in human form in 1930.  She quickly became more popular than Bimbo and was made full human, with the name "Betty Boop."

The Betty everybody loves was only there for a few years, before the Hayes Code on production took away the "boop-oop a-doop" that made her interesting.  But before that happened, she met Popeye the Sailor in 1933.  I can't think of any previous creative examples of one IP leading to another IP and then another.  Koko was overcome by Bimbo who was secondary to Betty who was taking by Popeye and became more popular after one cartoon with this dame.

But that wasn't even Popeye's first conquest.  He was immediately popular with his first appearance in Thimble Theater in 1929, which was why he had been moved to animation so quickly.  But Thimble Theater had been around since 1919, featuring the adventures of Ham Gravy, his friend Castor Oyl and Castor's sister Olive.  Elzie Segar had started this out as single-strip jokes but moved into long-running adventures, such as where Castor and Ham wanted to go to a gambling island so they needed a sailor to get them there.

So in both animation and comics, the established IPs introduced their successor.  In both of these cases, it was the same successor, Popeye.  And in basically all of these cases, the work is past-tense and is public domain.  Technically there are owners of Popeye and Betty Boop but they're really just merchandising and it looks if they have sole ownership rights to that.  The Fleischer Studio is long gone, although descendants have established another one which is also basically about merchandising.

This might be a bit simplistic, but essentially their popularity led to their replacements and eventually their own demise.  Now they're gone and forgotten.

The left is getting more and more insane.  The guy posted things like "This man needs to be shot," “I am going to plant a bomb in Elon Musk’s house,” “You’re robbing the American people.  We will gut you and parade your corpse through the streets,” “You’re on the hit list” and “We’re gunning you down next, Muskrat.”  This is not something you say if you're just trying to be "edgy" and "engaged in Political Hyperbole" which is the defense he's using.  And of course it's Musk's fault this guy's being punished for wanting to shoot somebody because he has a constitutional right to announce that he's going to kill people.

He runs a store that sells tactical gear, not the sort of thing you'd expect for a lunatic like this.  This is yet-another example of leftist lunacy, making people so deranged that they really think this needs to happen.  I'm sure their masters are hoping to use this as an excuse to ban guns, but there's being prepared for danger and trying to cause the danger.  Notice how these people all aspire to create victims to blame.

What's really weird is that this guy was from a small town where this sort of thing is just supposed to be completely unknown.  And this particular town, Clarksville, Indiana, is one I have a bit of personal connection with, mostly because of its historical relevance.  This was Forward Operating Base, USA, the first town founded outside the US border in the growing little country.  You cross the river from Louisville, you're outside the country.

The names are coincidental, but Louisville and Clarksville are where Lewis and Clark started their journey, unofficially.  They met here, then went up the river to Missouri where they officially began.  Clarksville was founded by Clark's brother, a veteran of the Revolutionary War.  And this is the place where a gun-nut openly wants to kill people, and he's a leftist?  *This* is what the elites are trying to push us into.

They're using Musk as the target.  They'll go after others, but this ridiculous obsession with Musk is another sign of their mental illness.  They didn't complain about Dianne Feinstein's wealth, they don't complain about Nancy Pelosi's, why are they so jealous of someone who as more money?  Because they're leftists.  They didn't even complain about Musk back when he supported Democrats.

Musk probably wasn't at the dealership when this guy planted the explosives, that's how much the left wants to avoid hurting innocent people.  Targets are easy to find if that's all you're looking for.  Notice that they don't have the slightest to destroying electric-powered vehicles that could help save the planet, because Musk!!!  If you're going to kill him, it's easy to kill people who shop at his store, or are related to people who shop there, or live next door, or liked a post on the internet about...

They can't keep going.  At some point they'll break themselves down and if we're lucky, they'll do it before they've injured or killed other people.  Because that's exactly where they're going, whether they realize that or not.

And then this comes out.  She is paid by Disney/ABC to go on live tv and lie about people.  Or at least lie about Musk, who is "pro-Apartheid."  At this point, I would say every reference to Musk should mention that and specify that we learned it on The View.  Given all the other problems they've had, a child of four would know when to keep their mouth shut, yet here she is.

How does Disney/ABC keep themselves in this position?  What are they getting from this show that justifies the enormous expense and lawyer fees?  Unless this is the way they want it

Oh boy, another delay.  This time it's New York's fault.  We have been told that a handful of right-wing internet people are receiving "Epstein Files Phase One" today.  So if you can find them and mug them, take the documents and put them online.  But it's also speculated that "Phase One" is just a list of his contacts, nothing more.  People who claim to know what it is have said that, but there's no way to know who to trust.  Besides, how many people there have any of us heard of?

One of Trump's attorneys says there will be criminal charges filed for this.  She does not say why these charges weren't filed five years ago.  What next, we can't do anything because the post office hasn't delivered them yet?  Or maybe the real information is hidden in Al Capone's vault so we just need to dig in there.

I am trying to look for good reasons it could be done this way.  There's making sure all the victim's identities are hidden, like they didn't have years to take care of that.  There's the idea that they're trying to sucker in the elites somehow, like a teaser and trailer to promote an upcoming blockbuster movie.  And that's about it for any possibility I can think of that this isn't being staged and all the real info has already been removed.  Haven't heard anything about JFK/RFK/MLK either, no one's even thinking of those anymore.

Do these cancer curers and asteroid stoppers have names?  Are they in the room with us?  Oh wait, Moore knows when they'll escape being aborted because they aren't human and have no right to exist.  Obviously he's got tons of money from attacking George W. Bush but the left really didn't seem to want anything to do with him afterwards.  Maybe that's why he's coming off as so delusional.  All the leftist benefits of fame and money but nobody has any interest in anything he says or does.

As opposed to someone who's had to struggle a bit in his life, has dealt with pain and injuries.  But he got through and managed to find something else to do with his life.  Of course he'll just be ignored because he's the wrong skin color.  He might influence other people of that skin color and they can't be allowed to listen to anything other than Michael Moore and people like him.

The *woke* movement translated basic leftism into gender and race and that was it.  Mayweather is supporting 'freedom for everybody,' to the left that's "white supremacy."  What they don't realize is that sane people will just shrug and go 'ok, I'll be a white supremacist.'  The left is imposing their own standards and people will still find a way to defy them.

That's one of the things our founding fathers brought to the world, that we had the freedom to do that.  Nobody's trying to make it illegal to be *woke.*  We don't want anything to do with it and we have that right, but you can make yourself miserable that way.  Or be like Michael Moore and make tons of money off your fellow activists.

So I think this is the change we've been seeing since early November.  Most people who went along with *woke* have quit.  They aren't even pretending anymore.  We can see that with businesses pulling away from DEI.  They watched the disaster of companies like Bud Lite and already wanted to avoid that, now they know where the customers are.  This reaction is coming up all across the spectrum.
