I would say you should read the latest installment of this blog, but it's basically the same as yesterday. And the day before. And the last twenty years if I'm honest about it.

"Lorraine, stop stripping in front of your window.  It keeps attracting boys.  Your dad thinks they're trying to jump in front of his car!"

"Then how am I ever supposed to meet anybody?"

"It'll just happen, like the way I met your father."

"That was so stupid, Grandpa tried to bust him for selling muggles!"

"It was meant to be.  It was the night that old bootlegger Bart Tannen killed the town blacksmith.  Something about trying to reopen the mines to find a hidden dealer named 'Ian.'  Stan, do you know what that meant?"

"What, Stella?  Sorry, I was watching Jackie Gleason and telling the kids how we're going to launch satellites into space and that's just the start."

"In gratitude for getting him off the hook, your father took me to a vaudeville show.  That's when I knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with him."

"To the moon, Joey!  Wow, look at how fascinated you are by this."

□ [“Supreme Court 8-1 Greenlights Trump’s Federal Government Purge — Mass Layoffs and Overhaul in 20 Federal Agencies"]

Trump and his people have put a lot of thought into this, they know how the law works.  This isn't about the merits of Trump reorganizing the government, it's about his authority to make plans to do so.  He'd still need to go through Congress to actually do it.  It's not clear how specific that is, I'm sure Congress didn't specify how many employees in each job were needed for each section in each agency, but of course there are overall requirements.  Trump is following that and will probably present the plans to Congress very soon.

Sotomayor had to mention Jackson going on about how Trump would ruin the agencies and how that wasn't relevant to this case.  He wasn't reorganizing, he was making plans which he has the authority to do.  This is the second time Jackson has been called out, in a very minimalist manner, but still...  It looks like she was just being *woke* since that's how she got this job and even the other justices are tired of it.  Just speculation but it's fun to think about.

As far as we know, they haven't yet dealt with the lower-ranking judges.  But this is helping the Trump administration, as they should.  The Big Beautiful Bill made a lot of Trump's executive order's permanent, or at least official law, now Congress just needs to pass some actual laws so the executive branch can be cut down.  This is what we voted for.

□ [“Trump Loses It:  'I Can’t Believe You’re Asking a Question on Epstein'"]

He's been known to the rich and famous almost as long as you have.  Yet apparently he and his girlfriend did everything themselves, no one else gets exposed or arrested for any crimes.  That just seems weird.  It's like P. Diddy parties where very few people were named.

People are making some convincing arguments that there wasn't actually as much as we had expected so there's nothing to reveal.  I didn't think Epstein kept a list of who he was blackmailing although I used the term "Epstein's list" for convenience.  He would have contact information for these people and evidence he could use against them, that must be true.

Whether he died from murder or suicide, it seems iffy either way.  The fact that they can't just check the cameras when he died is the main evidence for murder.  Or assisted him with suicide.  The fact that Trump doesn't see anything strange about that is itself a problem.

Just a couple other things to note, this statement was made at a public meeting of Trump with his cabinet.  In the footage I've looked at, Trump is almost always leaning forward, but he does sit up straight once or twice, showing that he's a little shorter than Marco Rubio sitting next to him.  Rubio is 5'9".  Has being in office really cost Trump several inches in height?

Also, why are the Democrats so silent on this?  Other than accusing Trump of being on "Epstein's list," they haven't said much about this whole time, but now Trump is humiliating himself and making his own supporters angry by leading us along all this time.  You'd think that would be a perfect opportunity to attack him for this.

□ [“Politico Disappointed By Democrats ‘Retreating’ on Climate Change – Especially in California"]

In California it may just be because Newsom wants to run for POTUS and needs to at least pretend he cares what non-California leftists think.  But overall, the party really needs to handle some serious issues head-on.  The most obvious is the hypocrisy.  If burning fossil fuel is so bad for the planet, the rich leftists in charge of the 'global warming' movement should stop doing that, yet they don't.  The very rare times they try to justify it doesn't help, I'm thinking of John Kerry saying that he doesn't actually own a private jet, it's his wife's.

Then there's the brainwashed repetition of 'five years to save the planet.'  We've been hearing that for decades by people who never notice the contradiction.  I think that's the main reason Al Gore has dropped out of public view, aside from his age and immense wealth.  He was the idol to be worshipped but that meant it was more obvious to him that we should all be dead long ago if he's right.

They can't even point to anything that turned things around.  Reducing air conditioning and government-funded EVs didn't show the scientists that we weren't going to die in five years.  Doesn't look like they even considered the possibility, so what are they being paid for?  All they can do is demand more government control over everything.  I will also assume that some of Trump's EOs have giving people the freedom to speak out, or to just not have to participate in this nonsense.
