Day 28 without a federal government.  There are shrews and mayflies that have died without ever having known life with a federal government.  If that doesn't depress you then you're not someone who deserves a federal government.  You shouldn't even be allowed to vote, we'll just fill out your cards for you.  What's your last name again?

The thing that's most depressing about this is that the rest of the world isn't reaching out to help us.  Don't they realize that this could happen to them too?  And then where would the world government be?  If I ever find out who's in charge of the world government, I'm going to write them a letter and tell them to help us.  Otherwise, if there's ever an election, I won't vote for them.  That'll show them how serious I am.

Well, no.  The executive branch is under very reduced circumstances so they need to let people go.  Maybe if the government opens up again, there will be jobs that need to be filled but until then, that's it.  That's how business has to work in hard times like this.

I've noticed that the activist judges seem to be more open about not even bothering to check the rules, they're just dictating their opinions as orders that everyone must follow.  A few weeks ago I had commented that they seemed to have become less obvious.  I was wrong but it may have been more about a change in tactics.  And strangely enough, the Supreme Court hasn't gotten involved very much yet.  I had definitely expected them to speak out by this point.

For a while, I've suspected leftist government officials have actually formed a shadow government, possibly worldwide, and that is what they really answer to.  I hadn't thought of it but that could certainly include these activist judges.  No idea if they're actually following any real law, even one that's kept secret from the peons, but whatever they're doing certainly lines up with this theory.

This sort of thing should be obvious but of course Congress won't do it.  They didn't subject themselves to Obamacare or Covid vaccines, they certainly aren't going to go without a paycheck just because they force others to do that.  As always, it's another example of how they can't let themselves be treated like others.  IIRC, at one point a Republican tried to put out a bill that would allow citizens to have access to Congressional healthcare, and that was totally voted down.  That's not even getting into how rich they become while in office.

□ [“House Oversight Committee Deems All Biden Autopen Actions Null And Void"]

This is a big step.  I support it but am really not confident that it will go anywhere.  First of all, laws passed by Congress go into effect whether or not the POTUS signs them, or Biden, or Biden's autopen.  Second of all, what are you supposed to do about it?  Just an obvious example, people getting pardons assumed it was real and have gone on with their lives accordingly.  You can't just send somebody back to jail a couple years later.  Leave aside the nature of the pardons and who was getting them, you want the enemy to make use of this tactic?

Third, there's no reason anybody has to believe it or comply.  Simple as that.  They want to pretend Biden had some authority somewhere after leaving office in 2017 and it's irrelevant what the House Oversight Committee points out.  There's certainly no chance of getting the rest of Congress to agree with this, no matter how true it is.

So what's the point?  With all the other tyrannies and treason imposed on the American people over the last several years, someone putting Joe Biden's name on a document is a ways down the list of things to do something about.  You're still not sending anybody to jail for any of that, or even calling out any big names.  A Biden aide just testified to House Oversight that he was paid $4 million to work on the 2024 campaign and promised another $4 million if Biden won, so he would have to keep Biden's senility hidden.  That's a start but it's not like this guy is going to be punished, and who put him in that position?

People are already responding with video clips of Hillary, Harris, their veep choices and others doing just that.  Nearly a year after the election, the left is just doubling down on denying reality.  Who are they trying to convince?  Maybe she's just trying to get people to vote for the Democrat with nazi tattoos.

They're also proving the recent reports that the party is getting less popular with everybody except white liberals.  Funny how that works.  The whole concept of appealing to more people is completely foreign to them, but not even the kind of foreign they support.  It's like whatever way they can make their own problems worse, that's what they're going for.

It's taken as a given that the muslim communist will win the NYC mayor's race, fairly or otherwise.  So Republicans are getting ready to use that across the country, that *this* is what the Democrat party stands for.  And they're right about that.  One thing the election did was confirm that we really are the majority and the left isn't but they delude themselves into thinking they are, as we see MSNBC doing.

□ [“New Book Claims Obama Exploded After Pelosi Rushed to Endorse Harris"]

The book comes from someone at Disney/ABC so it must be true.  It's interesting that they're all suddenly putting out books.  Not sure how many of them actually qualify as "tell-alls" since Kamala Harris and Karine Jean-Pierre aren't reported to have really said anything in theirs.  I'm also wondering if Harris got to be first, that was part of the $20 million deal made with the publisher.

According to this book, Obama and Nancy agreed that Harris wouldn't just be installed, there would be other challengers.  There's a couple problems with that.  First of all, the primaries were over, how would you set that up in a way that the rest of the party could go along with?  Sad as it is to say, Harris was the most likely candidate at that point, the only one who would have access to the money given to the Biden campaign and had more national approval than most-if-not-all the other potential candidates.  Most likely she would have lost if she had to compete against others and that would leave the 2024 candidate in an even worse position, but that's the party's fault.

Second, my impression is that Nancy was the one calling-the-shots more than anyone else at this point.  If Biden actually had any influence - and hard as it is to believe, apparently he did - this looks to me like it was his final 'victory.'  They were going to dump him, he had no way to stop that three weeks after the debate disaster.  But what he could do was make a deal with Nancy that he'd give up and in exchange, Harris would take his place.  He's setting them up for failure and there's nothing they can do about it.

Obama is the real loser here.  He always votes 'present' and even at his best, was never very good at promoting other people.  And he's far from being at his best anymore.  Nancy actually has experience making deals.  In the three weeks before Biden dropped out, I got the impression she was the one making that last call, about two weeks in.  Obama just stayed quiet and finally got around to endorsing a week or two after the fact.  So there may be some truth to this new book but it doesn't remotely sound like the complete story.
