I'm starting to think Orange Man isn't completely bad. Could the media have been lying to me?

From there he goes to California, specifically Los Angeles, to see the damage they're facing.  I suppose this will count as his 'accomplishment of the day.'  Biden didn't bother to do this, just like he didn't bother to deal with any other emergencies going on in the last four years.  Trump's out doing multiple stops in one day, and that's not counting any other duties of an executive.  Like the guy or not, his work-ethic deserves praise.

He's also taking questions from the media.  They just ask questions, like if California's "sanctuary policy" will affect federal funding, or about Adam Schiff wanting to join him on the trip to California.  He just takes questions and answers them, we haven't had a President do that since 2020.  Might be subconscious but a lot of leftists must be wondering why they don't have anybody who can do that.

With federal funding, he says California needs to require voter id and water, presumably a reference to how their reservoirs and fire hydrants are empty.  With Schiff, he avoids the question, but mentions that Schiff has recently showed up with a number of facial bruises, which seems to happen to prominent Democrats for unknown reasons.  Well, unknown to the rest of us, I assume Trump knows what happened.

Anyway, it's only been four days and he's already accomplished a lot more by himself than Biden could with all his handlers.  Obviously Trump knows that a lot has to be done and he has a limited amount of time, so he's making great use of it.  When he leaves office in four years, he'll still have a list of things he never got around to.  That's definitely something everyone should look up to.

We'll probably never be told the specific details, just generic reasons like lowering standards and promoting DEI.  In theory this is a positive move, but face it, the Secret Service are the modern version of the Praetorian Guard, it's their job and in their nature.  Trump will have a different perspective but the rest of us shouldn't see anything inherently trustworthy about them.  It's not our business anyway.

Also interesting is that other people are receiving Secret Service protection.  Or they were.  The SS is supposed to be for the POTUS and Veep and their families, why were Anthony Fauci and John Bolton getting it?  Trump points out that they're rich and can afford their own security if they really need it.  Bolton was head of National Security 2018-19, so that might be when the covid bioweapon was being put together.  He's specifically complaining about Iran.

Another detail that we'll probably never know is how Trump and the SS interact on this.  My understanding is that the POTUS cannot just give the SS orders because those can interfere with their security procedures.  It's probably the main reason the POTUS is under such a regimented schedule, just because the large number of personnel who need to oversee every step he takes in advance.

This is just a cover-up.  He makes the right sounds but clearly doesn't mean them.  It's all Biden's fault, staying in the race and causing other problems.  At no point does he mention the whole Democrat party and their media pets who supported Biden every step of the way, telling us what great shape he was in.  But then, Carville also insisted Harris was guaranteed to win and has never explained where he got that viewpoint from.

It's not clear if they're just doing this to protect themselves or if there's some ulterior motive, but they're hiding something by blaming Biden for everything.  Spend all these years pushing around a senile old man, making him think he has authority so you can push your own agenda, that's just abuse.  I can't believe I'm saying this about Joe freaking Biden but he didn't deserve to be treated like that, and now you're blaming him for what happened.

Pretty sure Biden is permanently gone.  Jill and Hunter might come out to speak for him, it's even possible there will be an impersonator, but he's out of it now.  Still need to see actual results from Trump in charge, not just the inspiring opening steps - and this week has been very impressive, no denying that - but I get the impression that Biden's pretend-POTUS career is not going to be remembered fondly.  People like Carville will lose credibility (if they have any) for having made that happen.  They'll be erased just as they now want to do to Biden.

She's specifically complaining about a dress designer willing to provide clothes for female Trump family members for the inauguration.  This shows how far away she is from what real people have to deal with, even female Trumps who actually wear clothes.  These "cultural figures" aren't scared of Trump because they've been through it before.  The ones who might really scare them are people like AOC being allowed to vote and talk in public.

A few days ago she ordered everyone to disobey Trump's executive orders.  That's not how being in charge works and she can be ignored a lot easier than Trump.  The fact that she doesn't realize this shows what problems Democrats are having.  There is no resistance.  A handful of protestors showed up at the inauguration, a small fraction of those who were there eight years earlier.  The people aren't listening to liberals and that will continue to increase with nonsense like this.

I'm sure the left is trying to put together a real resistance, but with people like AOC as their spokesmen, that's doomed to failure.  There's nothing inspiring, nothing even worth listening to.  All she can do is repeat the same nonsense the rest of us have long been tired of.  Now that she's turned 35, I assume she's preparing to run for POTUS.  That might be a point where even the Democrats realize they can't put up with this anymore.
