Not enormous amounts of money but as Covid funding came in, they helped themselves to take from the taxpayers.  The money was for unemployment during this period but they weren't unemployed.  They were just taking home more money than they had earned.  And it took years to get around to doing anything about this.

Wonder how many LA employees are doing this.  Or other leftist cities for that matter.  Hell, even other cities out there but obviously some can be bigger targets than others.  A.I. might be very useful here, to go through all the records of government employees for the last few decades - or whenever they were added to the computer - and look for connections and patterns that don't line up with laws or policies.  This funding came in and went to these people who also earned such-and-such from their jobs.  Not sure how easy it would be but if tax records can be included for each of these people, it might reveal a lot about what's been happening behind the scenes.

About the only way the left could complain is if anyone notices that there aren't many white people doing this.  The right-wingers would just shrug and say punish any white person who did it too but that's not how the left operates.  Which probably lines up with few right-wingers being caught doing this.  If nothing else, they don't have government jobs.

This could get big.  It's yet-another example of why government should be as small as possible, just so there's no room to pull these stunts and no money to loot from in the first place.  I wonder if L.A. suddenly decided to charge these people because they really need to start looking like they oppose stealing from taxpayers.  Their loyal voters don't see a problem but others will.

Here we go again.  They're due to come out sometime this week.  But this will only include "unclassified" records so right there is reasons to doubt whatever we actually get.  We see that with the release of the JFK/RFK/MLK assassination files.  I don't think anything about them has been mentioned since they came out, there was certainly nothing surprising.  But unless you're willing to trust the official narrative, that means there's no reason to believe these files.

If we're lucky, maybe we'll at least get some clue what this is all about.  The mid-2000s investigation was the first time Epstein was convicted for molesting kids and he found rich and powerful people to protect him.  I still think there's a sizeable chance that that's all it was.  No big conspiracy, just a rich pervert who had some friends involved.  That's what the P. Diddy case came down to.  I'm fine with believing there was more to it than that but we need some actual evidence and there's been years to put that out.

It is still possible that this is some long-running plan.  Democrats almost entirely shut up about the Epstein files when the last batch came out and showed how many of them took his money after the mid-2000s conviction for sex crimes.  They don't want to be asked about it so the whole topic needs to go away but they'd already started the release of more, even voting in Congress to make it happen.  But even this current release still has problems, at least one more judge's approval is needed to make it happen.  Maybe he'll take one for the team and refuse to let it come out so only he can be blamed for anything.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is clearly a real thing.  California has had over a year and hasn't started rebuilding.  Last we heard, I think there were like half a dozen permits to rebuild that had been issued, that's it.  This guy already self-identifies as the 2028 candidate for POTUS and this huge mess is still going to be sitting here that long.  Not counting the failed highspeed rail, the crime, the corruption and all the rest.  He literally sees nothing else except the chance to fail upwards so that's what he'll focus on.

He's even claiming that the state authorized $2.5 billion for those who lost their homes.  Well they didn't get the money but the money is now gone, so what happened to it?  Looks like another reason to investigate the flow of money in leftist-run areas.  Didn't pay close attention but I also saw a mention of politicians who have friends and families running construction companies and the like so there's more ways to get rich.  I think a relative of Dianne Feinstein was mentioned.

This is going to get more attention in the next few years as Democrats think they can regain power.  More and more people will ask why this already happens everywhere they're in charge so why should they get more?  And there seems to be no one in the Democrat line of power from the top on down who will see any problems here.  All they have is a lust for power no matter what needs to be broken down to make that happen.  They had four years of Trump, then four years where we had no POTUS and now Trump is back and he understands how things work.
