Obama has never been good at helping anybody but himself.  Very few of the candidates he endorses go on to win.  He's never had much real connection to normal people but it doesn't sound like he's even capable of faking it anymore.  He's not trying to convince anybody who actually knows what's going on, claiming how Iran is in a better situation now than it was six months ago shows that.

He's also trying to pretend Iran went along when he tried to bribe them with $150 billion in cash, as well as ignoring all his long wars against Libya and Syria.  Anybody who remembers those is going to ask 'why am I listening to Obama now?'  Obama and the Clintons are out campaigning but as far as I know, they're mostly staying in safe territory and surrounded by admirers.  I don't think Trump has gone to California but he's travelling around the country, he was close to me just a few days ago.  We saw in 2016, 2020 and 2024, he's really good at going everywhere.  He puts in the effort.

With a little over a week to go, the left is showing signs of worry.  The left is worried about the polls not being true which should just be taken as a given but they always support the left so never mind.  Don't know if it's true but Republicans are reportedly doing much better than usual at this point in early voting.  Don't know if Democrats are doing better, worse or the same but every day makes it more clear that they need do do really well to win, at least fairly, and that hasn't happened yet.

We already knew that and it isn't remotely limited to the US.  Why do you think European leaders have been demanding the US get in and fight for them?  And yes, congressmen and other rich people fly over to Ukraine in military aircraft so they can load up money and come back without having to go through US Customs like normal people.  The military knows this and might have reported it up to Trump so there would be solid evidence of that.

Musk is also talking about the massive amounts of US funding to Ukraine that has somehow gone missing.  He also attacks Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of the cryptocurrency scheme FTX.  Fried has been in jail for quite a while, a few days ago I went through all my news coverage of him but just to organize it, I didn't check for any relevant info.  FTX was part of this but I'm sure they've been replaced by now.

More interestingly is that Ukraine admits they've been using Musk's Starlink internet system to handle the war.  If not for that, Musk says they'd have lost a long time ago and that it's completely illegal to use this civilian network for military missions.  Then why did you let them use it at all?  And for that matter, why wouldn't Russia be able to keep track of it too?  This is all coming off as an argument over something that should be irrelevant to everyone involved.

I still don't see any reason for Trump to be involved in this war, the closest I see to a point is to stop helping Ukraine.  But then, I think Musk is the one who should be deciding if they can use Starline and he's had no problem with that for years.  Russia and China are reportedly trading support for each other's military goals.  As far as I know, there's no evidence, but I'll assume both of them are laundering lots of money through this war, cryptocurrency or otherwise, through Ukraine or somewhere else.  I don't want China involved but I still see no reason we should be involved with this in the slightest.  We're getting close to three years of this war under Trump 2.0.  That's not a win no matter how you look at it.

They really intend to get a war started whether or not they win the mid-terms.  If they win they assume they'll seize power immediately and will be protected by their masters for attacking us.  And if they lose, we're the tyrants so they'll do anything to kill us.

Scrolling through social media I see posts - which will just assume are not A.I.-generated - about wanting to burn the world down.  Quite often they show the French protests and I've noticed that suddenly the left is all unanimously insisting that no one has been hurt from them in all this time.  A week or two of attacking people and burning things down, that's believable.

But it's the 'I want to burn the world down' comments that sticks out for me.  That *is* war but the enemy doesn't realize the consequences.  Any building they walk by, a resident would be justified in shooting that person first to protect their home from being burnt down, like the rest of the world.  Unless something very unexpected happens, I think the US will be in that status after the elections regardless of who wins.  But the advantage is our side, we're armed.

Who do the Democrats have handling this other than expendables?  This is where we should worry that Russia, China or some other enemy has actual plans here.  I do suspect the Trump administration has plans for this but I'm not even sure we'll get to early-January when the winners take office.

Well, problems with Amazon Kindle which don't look like they can be fixed.  A month or so ago they sent me a message that my account needed to be updated and I needed to show a government ID.  I used my drivers license, the only government ID I have, and they refused it.  I've kept begging for help and very rarely even got a response, much less customer service.

The website is still ridiculous, there is no obvious 'click here' to get help from.  There is an A.I. assistant which is every negative stereotype about A.I.  Can't answer questions, only has a handful of statements to make about solutions, can't put you in touch with anybody more helpful.  So I assume that by the time I wake up tomorrow, my account will be gone along with everything I've published.  I have no clue what effect that will have on anyone who bought a copy on Kindle.

This is very annoying.  I have had this account since 2011 back when CreateSpace was its own company, before Amazon purchased it.  If you've looked at my page, you'll have seen that I published a loooooot of material over the years.  And this is how they dump me.

I don't even know if the problem was with the ID or with the pictures being taken, that's how unwilling they were to support the customer.  I tried as many options as I could think of but perhaps I was missing one and everything would have been easily handled if I'd gotten that right.  Whatever use A.I. might be, this is why we cannot allow it to handle everything.  And it *MUST* be helpful to the customer.  Don't expect us to curve through incomprehensible systems and requirements just to show you a f*cking driver's license when you're the one who demanded it.

I'm behind on editing and don't have enough material for a new book so I'm not in a rush.  I've started looking at other internet printers.  That's also annoying, all I wanted was a printing company, selling internet copies was just an extra bonus, and CreateSpace was very very helpful.  For the most part, so was Amazon Kindle but they got worse over the years, so here I am now.
