□ [“Iranian Hostilities Flare Up Again as Drone Strike Sparks Fire Near Abu Dhabi Nuclear Plant"]

The UAE has indicated that they're willing to fight Iran.  But they're mostly quiet about it and it's not clear what they'd bring to the fight anyway.  But that's the only reason I can think of why Iran would be so willing to keep hitting them.  The ceasefire has stopped by now, it just looks like Trump got someone else to do the actual work.  Maybe the US will play referee.

□ [“China Claims Preliminary Trade Deal With U.S. Following Trump’s Beijing Visit"]

Then there's this.  It's still very iffy, no reason to think China isn't giving all the orders.  Even if they aren't, their negotiation style is known for making everybody think the deal is set and then they change their minds at the last minute.  Even if Trump can get through that, it's still just the preliminaries.  Maybe China doesn't want a war but they need to keep the threat alive.

□ [“Ukraine Unleashes Massive Drone Barrage Deep Into Russia as Drones Swarm Toward Moscow"]

Ukraine is the least-popular of the ongoing wars so it gets little attention these days.  I'm only noticing this from the timing which makes a few things stand out.  First of all, where did they get all the drones from?  The US is the most-obvious answer but that means Trump is in way too deeply into a war that's none of our business.  And if it's not the US sending these in, then who?  I will say that it's good Ukraine attack Russia directly.  After the recent threats to other countries and Russia insisting they'll protect their people being attacked by other countries, it's nice to have them just getting closer to just fighting each other, the way wars are supposed to work.

Both countries are also hitting each other with media.  Wait, they only now thought of doing that?  Anyway, Russian media reports that Zelensky's right-hand man who's being investigated for money-laundering also practices witchcraft.  Ok, it's Russian media so that's not a selling point but their source is indeed from Ukraine.  And now Russian media is reporting that Zelensky's wife will also be arrested.  The charges aren't mentioned and Ukraine media denies this.  Now that's how a war should go.

□ [“Venezuela Extradites Maduro’s ‘Bagman’ Alex Saab to the US"]

A few years ago, someone in the US used autopen to pardon Saab.  We'll see if that's relevant but it's interesting that Venezuela is handing him over.  This indicates that something has been done in the western hemisphere.  Take out Maduro and suddenly Venezuela isn't a problem?  That's strange.

□ [“Cuba Stockpiling Drones Amid Fears of Potential U.S. Military Action"]

But now all of a sudden a lot of US enemies in this hemisphere are on the defensive.  Maybe it's just the media I follow but they seem to be ready to refer to the Cuban regime as 'past-tense.'  It even sounds like their elites are accepting that the game is over and they lost, giving in is the only way they can stay in power, or at least stay alive.  As critical as I am of how Trump is handling some aspects of these wars - and complimentary on other aspects - I am impressed that he seems to have made this one go fairly smoothly, at least so far.

□ [“US Bombs ISIS in Nigeria:  Good Start but the Fulani Threat Remains Unaddressed"]

So why not start yet-another one?  There are big reasons for and against.  Not our war, already dealing with too much, saving non-white Christians from ISIS, world policeman, there's plenty of reasons to argue either way.  I'm guessing this will be a fairly quick strike, just get rid of ISIS and then see what else there is to do.

I gotta admit, I'm surprised at all the wars I've been listing that we're involved in.  And keep in mind, these are just the ones there's public knowledge of.  What else are we sending in special operations or something sneaky to deal with?  I've noticed for the last several months that I have roughly the same mental motivation I had in the Army, simultaneously frustrating and invigorating.  A consistent sense that I don't know what's going on, just gotta keep moving forward to accomplish the mission.  That's war for ya...

□ [“Comey Tells Deep State Prosecutors to 'Hang On' and Wait For Trump to Leave Office"]

What is he doing?  He was the SDNY attorney, protected both Clintons from legal problems, ran the FBI in Obama's second term.  He's clearly connected to important people, protecting their illegal activities, but why is he suddenly the spokesman?  And why does the media keep asking to see him, he made this statement on "Meet the Press" this morning.

A few days ago, he went on CNN and said he still keeps in regular contact with people at the FBI.  He's being investigated for publicly making murder threats against Trump - 8647 - but doesn't seem the slightest bit worried about what admitting to his FBI connections says about him.  And here he is giving instructions to prosecutors.

The "deep state," the "shadow government," the "new world order," whatever it is, that's what he's defending.  That's who he's sending these message out to.  He was also part of the GWB administration so he has people everywhere.  Giving that he comes from New York state, he may have been involved with some of the cults in that area.

It's very annoying that almost a year and a half into Trump 2.0, we still don't have any real clue who the enemy is.  Comey is the most obvious target but he's the only one we know of, beyond just pointing at celebrities and blaming them, and he's only just getting prosecuted now.  This is not a good sign of progress.
