Last October, the inflation rate was "transitory."
In November "greedy corporations" were to blame.
In December and January, there were "supply-chain bottlenecks."
In February it was caused by "oil prices."
In March, it was "Russia's fault."

Who will they blame next?  They're going to start making it illegal to raise prices which will lead to even more shortages than we already have.  That's a standard dictatorial tactic and it always has the same results.

This makes the conflict a little subtler.  Is it a complete falsehood, is it a gimmick or is it some deeper trap?  The article flat-out states that government royalties will go up about 50% so the prices aren't going to lower.  This is just the Interior Department’s Bureau of Land Management - BLM??? - so it's not like other branches will be going along with it although the internal conflicts might be amusing.  They'll certainly be interfering as much as possible and if the companies start operating, there'll be more things to interfere with.

It definitely just pretending that they look good, they don't actually mean it.  The article also specifies that only Congress has the authority to shut down offshore drilling but Congress clearly means nothing to this administration.

So is it a hoax?  Is it a trap?  Are Democrats just desperate to pretend they won't steal this year's elections?  It's not like they have other ways to attack.  California is preparing to ban purchase of any gas-operated vehicle by 2035.

The World Policeman could do exactly that and there's nothing Russia could do about it.  Buuuuuuut who opposed the US being the World Policeman?  The people who let Russia get away with all this for decades.  Not that different to what they do with the police in New York, Los Angeles or Chicago.  It keeps them in power, that's all that matters.

So without that, we are openly at war with Russia, a nuclear power, and *we* are the ones without the courage to admit that.  Russia knows how to deal with people like that, they've done it for centuries.

Is Leftism effectively a sociopathic virus?  ["Sociopathy" and "psychopathy" are basically interchangeable terms, the former blames society while the latter says it's based on one's individual traits.]  It is used to infect other people and break down their minds so there's no recognition of right or wrong, much less of the individual.  I may be wrong on the cause but that's basically correct regarding the results.

They do seem to spread it around, hoping to infect everyone.  Human nature provides some immunity but not entirely, not enough.  We all have internal conflict between the individual and the collective.  One advantage communists have is that they have examined for many years how to break people down into obedience.  Safe to assume they've pulled off a lot of experiments, particularly in nations they rule.

This does seem to be quite possible, that leftism is just related to sociopathy.  They can do whatever they want because they claim to care about others and they're very good at attracting their own kind.  Being collectivists, they'd think that way by nature so they can aim at the younger generation.

And doesn't that line up with the other things they're into?

I think it's fair to say to the point of human existence is to overcome this.  We managed to spend a few centuries doing this and now the left has taken it down.  That won't stop us, it will only create misery that we've always been trying to get beyond.
