The book is done.  I've ordered printed copies.  Dunno how much I'll write tonight because I'm not even looking at news articles.  I've been thinking about how I'll work out the next book and whatever stuff I have to get through, so really that's where my attention is at the moment.

I am finally making myself watch a couple episodes of The Facts of Life's final season.  I know I saw these when they were new and again on reruns but don't remember a thing and am glad.  They're the same actresses playing the same characters but there's nothing there.  And don't get me started on Andy and Pippa.  At least Cloris Leachman has a bit of professionalism and at least tried to have reason to be there, even if there wasn't one.

The episodes I've seen have to do with Blair in a car accident which is like the worst of 80s sitcoms.  The other one has Natalie as a reporter spying on ROTC and it is nothing like the Army is, especially jumping out of an airplane.  It's light-years away from interesting characters, much less an interesting story.

Just a note about some of the things I've been thinking about:  Thoughts on the space-race lead to thoughts on early science fiction and thinking about that led me to the Futurist society.  I've only looked up a little bit but it started in early 20th-century Italy and their desire was to get Italy to forget about its past.

What in the fucking hell???  Italy had more past than almost anyone else on the planet!  Getting rid of it is outright destruction of everything that had gotten them to this point.  And of course they were fans of Mussolini so it's clear what side they were on.  I'm sure this was going on everywhere - I've been meaning to look up the Fabian Society - and it seems to be more of a tipping point of the world, given all that it's led to since.  Anyway, I'm still going to be thinking about this.  Unless something comes up.

I've always said that, at least I did until I got beaten up and the girls all ignored me and no one invited me to any parties and I got beat up again.

I have wondered if major sports has been taken over by whatever underground gay movement there is.  It doesn't help that they need to advertise their propaganda as "powerful."

I am getting closer to finishing the book.  That's really my main focus these days.  And the pajama parties with nubile yum-yums but I won't get into that now.  Maybe in an hour or so.

One man's joke is another man's thought-crime, but only one of them wins the argument.

Another day, another doing almost nothing else but working on the book.  I'm almost done.  Hopefully it'll be less than a week before I'm waiting for it to be approved and printed and ordered.  I'm just now getting around to checking the news and doubt I'll have much to say on that.

This is also nice to hear about but it's also a sign that the enemy has won.  For one thing, the government will start imposing more force on the masses.  For another thing, those same people won't lift a finger to defend it.  China/Iran/Russia/etc. are probably already planning out how the invasions will work, assuming they don't already have everything in place.  And the people won't have anywhere to turn to and no organized forms of defense.

I've finally reached a point where I'm almost ready to give up on the book.  Just a few more small-if-tedious tasks to finish and I'll call it quits.  I've definitely had books that are easier to do and I've also had books that I had no problems going through all the work.  I'm at the point where I just want this one done.  I'll have something to show for 2021 so long as we can last just a little while longer.

It is interesting to notice that I try to have a different approach to each book even if it's the same sort of material every time, in chronological order no less, even if the material has existed for months if not years.  I don't know if that's noticeable to anybody who looks at each book.  I don't even know if I'd notice it, I'm usually too busy working on the next book to really ponder how previous books differ.  Then again, I also suspect it's usually too subtle so even I couldn't notice the differences and I'm the one who made them.

Oh well, I'm finally taking a break today.  I do try to spend as many waking hours as possible working on something that will show progress in some way so I try to avoid spending the weekend just sitting around and goofing off.  I've barely even looked at the internet today so let's see what news there is.

Who do they think is stupid enough to believe them?  They've been saying this for at least a year and the media has been totally promoting them doing it.  And now they're trying to do a total reverse?

How do they convince themselves this works?  Do their supporters actually fall for this?  Isn't there anybody anywhere along the line who will point out that it's easy to prove they're flat-out lying, or do the people who aren't stupid enough to fall for this know that they're now allowed to speak out in dissidence?

Wouldn't BLM be expected to speak out?  How do they do this?  It's just so mind-boggling that they just do this without hesitation.

So is this real?  Is the world actually standing up against this?  We don't have a clue what's truthfully going on in the rest of the world anymore so I have no idea if this actually means something.

Trump is trying to stand out again.  He's got a rally going on tonight, possibly right now.  We'll see if that goes anywhere.  We had hope a year ago, not so much now.

They're trying to take out the young too.  Those are the main forces for a warzone so they take the most hits.  I'm probably just making it up as a metaphor, go about your business.

But the people accused of trying to take over the government last January weren't even carrying guns much less using nukes.  Yet they want to ban guns which are totally useless against the government.  They'll say whatever they're told to say.

What am I thinking, it's like Democrats supporting democracy.

It's getting tough to write this stuff.  There's just more and more of it every day and we've already had too much.

I'm focusing on the book these days.  I know, I always do that, but I'm trying to finish editing it.  I'm still trying to finish it by July 4th weekend.  Dunno if it'll happen, but I'm pushing for it.  We're all running out of time and energy.  If anyone other than God can help us, they need to show up.

If I'm going to spend this much effort criticizing a band, I might as well listen to it once in a while.

Well, it's been years but I can't put it off any longer.  I finally decided to listen to Appetite For Destruction.

"Welcome to the Jungle" immediately leaps out, it's an awesome opening.  The first verse is tight and already drives this down, there's well-done back-up vocals and it sounds great.  We're only at the first verse.

The choruses and the bridge sound much more musical than the verses, like they don't fit.  That may be an example of where these guys are going but you can already tell you want to go along, then there's the guitar solo and the great build-up.  We know where we are.

And then it just ends, but unlike all the other G'n'R songs I've heard in the last several years, this ending works.

"It's So Easy" doesn't grab me.  It's ok but I don't find anything special about it.  "Night Train" is much better, like a modern-day Rolling Stones number.  It's got all the parts of a well-made pop song even as it comes off as hard rock.

"Out To Get Me" also sounds good.  The band sounds great but I have to admit alot of these songs so far aren't reaching me, other than as an advertisement for these lunatics.  "Mr. Brownstone" is more about the danger they're involved in on a daily basis.  You can see why these guys made it, I gotta admit.  I used to listen to a little, but a little wouldn't do it...

And of course "Paradise City" starts out awesome, a total change from what we've just heard.  It works as a great build-up from the rest of side A  And it just keeps building and building.

It's probably a good thing I haven't listened to this album much in ages, I'm definitely not sick and tired.  Even with my memory problems, it's still part of me after all these years and I really am enjoying it.

"My Michelle" starts off differently than the songs on side A, like it's a ballad.  It isn't but it makes a nice change.  Those junior high-schooler girls must have been been creaming about this one.  They probably loved "Think About You" too which sounds like a very generic hard-rock ballad.  It's definitely on a different level from side A, something rock band's weren't known for.  "Sweet Child o'Mine" carries that even farther.

Guess I don't have much to say about this.  I'm too busy listening.  But it does sound like it came from a different time, back when actual music was made.

And "Rocket Queen" is another great conscious decision to make.  The music is better than most of the others, there's something expanded about it, then the sex sounds come in, then the whole mood changes to more of a love song.

Ok, that was totally fine.  Even the down-sides are negligible, I can't think of one off-hand other than some of the songs aren't totally fuckin' awesome.  Yeah, there's a reason this one album did everything for this band.  They'd be basically where they are today if they'd never released anything else.  And they didn't.  Was someone trying to make a follow-up to the Sex Pistols?

Wow, that chick is so hot! But then, so am I. It's well over a hundred degrees here.

Axl is 21,684 days old today.  Halfway through his life, it was October 14, 1991.  The Illusion albums had been out for a month with the "Don't Cry" single.  The "Live and Let Die" video would be filmed in November, the last one with Izzy.

I'm close to done with the new book.  I'm sure it'll still take me several days to finally be done but I'm close.  At this point, I'm basically giving up on editing and the index.  Right now, I just need headlines.  Then I'll work out the formatting, probably need another couple days of headlines and then I'll basically call it quits.

The guy being shot looks black but it's still not clear.  These news reports really need to start specifying skin color because our leftist masters insist that skin color is the most important thing to know about people and they've run NYC for decades.

It is starting to look like the leftist requirement to wear masks isn't just making everybody be a Muslim woman, but it's also a type of uniform for their soldiers to use.

Superman, where are you now?

Literally the second I woke up this morning, I was thinking of Genesis (the band), specifically the Invisible Touch album.  I don't know if it was a dream I had - I remember basically nothing about any dreams and the very rare occasion I remember something about it when I wake up, I've forgotten it within a moment or so - but I had this vision of an interview, presumably with Phil Collins, about their reunion tour and he said (so I imagined) that he wasn't interested in making a new album but he'd go along with the other two, so long as it was a finale for their recording career.

Pretty specific for a dream or whatever that was.  Anyway, the first thing I did was look up the news and all I found was 'never say never' and there's no intention of a new Genesis album no matter how much the world needs one right now.  So I'm just writing this as a note, or maybe a prediction, who knows.  And I've had Genesis on the mind all day.

Currently I've only listened to the b-sides of the Invisible Touch single.  They are quite fun even if there's nothing major about them.  It is nice to hear music once in a while and since I'd never listened to these songs much, it's effectively new material for me.

Apparently the band has always focused on writing songs.  All former members are still relevant to whichever albums they were part of and they all get along.  By the time Phil had become drummer/lead singer/solo icon, it was agreed that they wouldn't bring anything they'd been working on for their individual works, it would all be stuff they made up for the band then and there.

I don't get why or how but their songs just sound like great pop music, however 'artsy' they tried to be.  I'm not a fan of the Peter Gabriel era because his singing just seems to overwhelm the music and I've never like that.  I would totally pay for copies of the instrumental tracks from those albums though.

Despite what I just said, I've never liked the title track that opens the album.  It's adequate as a pop song, I guess, but it does not grab me in the slightest.  "Tonight, Tonight, Tonight" is much better although I'm surprisingly iffy on the synthesizers, those are so '1980s' in a bad way.  The lyrics are deliberately meaningless in a really fun way and the music is great as it builds to the ending.

"Land of Confusion" is great, presumably leftist but still entertaining.  I am getting annoyed by these non-real drums being played and assume they'll stay like that through the rest of the album.  "In Too Deep" is a nice ballad.  I like Collins' singing on this one, except for the high notes which just aren't him.

"Anything She Does" is fun, that's about all it has.  "Glow of the Night" is great.  The music, the lyrics, the dynamism, the singing, it shows off what a great band this was.  "The Last Domino" isn't as good but works very well as a second half of this epic.  The ending goes on a little long but that's the point of later songs on an album b-side.  "Throwing It All Away" is nice, a simple ballad that they did make periodically.  It's the third one on the album, that did used to be typical.

The final song starts out really techno and I'm not sure if that's a good or bad 1980s thing.  I don't even recognize the song despite hearing it many times before, there's no singing and the intro just keeps going.  After a while I realize that it's probably instrumental.  One thing about having an actual singer is that it makes the titles more memorable.  I'm deliberately not checking, but I think the track was named after Brazil.  Something like that anyway.  The bridge is all right, I do like the sense of epic-ness to the sound, although the 80s drums are still annoying.  And it just fades away and that's it.

And that was Genesis.  Why were they so popular again?

Communism is supposed to take over the world, so the leaders won't give up their mansions until that happens.

And where are all the teachers of the last several decades who said it was totally wrong wrong wrong to ever touch a woman without her formal permission beforehand?  They really want their kids to be like the man's man, Joe Biden.  He's gonna put his hands on you and you'll like it or else.

One has to wonder how many leftists don't remotely believe in leftism but they do see it as a way to profit.  Obviously there's no way to know how many of them say the rhetoric and know it's bullshit and how many actually believe in it but that must be a sizeable percentage of the left.  There's also no way to know if they're the ones who actually grow up (those who don't get to live in giant mansions anyway) and realize focusing their individual lives is better.
