Hey kids, what time is it? "Let's Go Brandon" time!

Gaslighting is the leftist belief that no reality exists outside of our perceptions and (when it makes a workable excuse for them) each of us controls our own perceptions.

Today's big news event is that actor Alec Baldwin shot two people on the set at his next movie, filmed in New Mexico.  He was waving a prop gun around in discussion with the director and the director of photography.  The later self-identified as female and undoubtedly supported banning guns just as much as Baldwin does  No word yet on if she had been vaccinated but if you're not vaccinated, you could die.

Obviously the rules of gun safety only apply to peasants whom Baldwin wants to ban from having guns.  He won't spend any time in jail for killing someone and injuring someone else.  He's rich and famous.  I think he also self-identifies as white.

He's also the producer of the movie, so there will be legal consequences for allowing injuries on-set.  The union had all walked out on him just a few hours earlier but he's not going to let a union keep him from getting lots of money to play with guns.  The local non-union workers probably knew as much about weapons as he does and he wants to ban them.

I do assume he'll use this as an excuse to continue trying to ban guns.  He'll also blame the non-union workers he hired for his movie and probably the union workers who ditched him.  After being released by the police today, he even tweeted how his staff could have given him a loaded weapon.  Because they know as little as he does about what he wants to ban, duh.  You think people who know anything about weapons would want to work for him?

It's possible this was totally deliberate.  In 2017, he tweeted "I wonder how it would feel to wrongly kill someone" about some leftist nonsense.  Well, now he knows and he won't even be punished for it.  He'll get rewarded for wanting to ban guns.  It's not like there's anybody around him who know anything about weapons safety, even his armed bodyguards.

Acknowledging any of this would be recognizing reality exists outside his own perceptions.  Anybody who's had any training in weapons whatsoever learns the four rules of weapon safety as the first part of the first day of training.  He's had all these decades to learn this and I hear there's a new invention called "google" where you can look stuff like this up.  But he just couldn't be bothered.  Nothing could go wrong.

This is how gaslighting works.  Denying reality no matter what the cost for one's own perceptions, invented or otherwise.  A sensible person would recognize the rules of weapons safety.  Those are the people Baldwin wants to ban from having access to weapons.  Shall we look at them?

1:  Treat every weapon as a loaded weapon.  You don't point weapons at people you aren't planning to shoot even if you've just checked and verified that the weapon wasn't loaded.  Every weapon, no exceptions, is to be treated as loaded.  That's pretty simple but obviously leftists can't do that.  They can perceive a weapon as unloaded, stick it in your face and pull the trigger because they say so.

2:  Never point a weapon at something you aren't intending to shoot.  That's another simple rule.  Never do it.  It's not 'you can do it if you feel like it' or 'you can do it if you're complaining to your employees on a motion picture set.'  If you're pointing a weapon at your director of photography, you' intend to shoot her.  But she probably deserves it.  Chicks, amiright?

3:  Never put your finger on the trigger until you intend to shoot.  Can't shoot someone you're pointing a weapon at if your finger isn't on the trigger.  That's the way to go unless you intend to shoot them.  Of course you'd have to be an idiot to be pointing a weapon at them if you didn't intend to shoot them but you're rich, famous, surrounded by sycophants and totally white so everything will work out the way you want it.

4:  Don't take your weapon off 'safe' until you're ready to put your finger on the trigger.  Boy, why are they coming up with so many of these stupid rules?  That's too many to remember, it's not like I'm going to shoot anybody.

And, assuming this news is all accurate, ignoring this is how Alec Baldwin got to where he is today.  I still wonder if it was secretly a demon sacrifice or something, he'd have to do the killing or he'd be the victim.  Or maybe the non-union workers knew he would wave the gun around and pull the trigger at people so they planted real ammo in the prop weapon.
