Mamdani has told New Yorkers they need to stop using air conditioner because it causes problems for the electric grid.  Now they're shutting off people's power altogether so they can do maintenance.  A leftist has only been in charge for six months and he's already risking people's lives.  Other people of course, he's not losing it in his mansion.  That's equality.

This may be why the left has suddenly dropped the term "climate change."  I'm blanking on if they went back to "global cooling" or "global warming" but either way, they probably intended to hit the lower classes with that this summer.  High temperatures does cause "population reduction," and then they'll have another excuse to ban fossil fuels.  Although it's funny, people are now forbidden to power up their electric cars.  Ah government, is there anything they can't forbid you to do?

But if this is like other examples of leftism, it'll push people in the other direction.  Not just in NYC but everywhere else.  There's a lot of anecdotes about Europeans coming over for the World Cup, they're already astounded by how many products the US sells so cheaply.  All their leftist elite propaganda falls away and that especially involves staying cool in the summer.  They're not allowed to do that at home but they like this.  Their elites also keep the air conditioning for themselves.  Because the temperature may be two degrees higher in fifty years or something like that.  [Taylor Swift got married in Madison Square Garden today, she had had the air conditioning on.]

And that is why leftists love polls because they're always right there to hear what they want to hear.  That way they can pretend they take other people seriously and not have to deal with icky things that contradict them.  It also doesn't work for Democrats in general, there's no way to know how close to real this poll really is.  Does a large percentage really believe this?  Are they saying what they're told to say?  Is the poll a total fake?  Even those who conduct it may not know.

This just increases the desperation for the individuals in the party.  This specific type of people have suddenly gotten loud enough to be heard and they're frightening a lot of people.  If you take the voters seriously, it pushes them away.  If you don't, you suddenly have to suck up to your superiors who are all on-board with this activism.  Of course they still expect themselves to come out on top.

It's the overwhelming urge to destroy Israel that seems to be shocking a lot of them.  From our perspective that's normal, the left has always done that since around 1968 [?] when the Soviet Union stopped supporting Israel.  To us it's like 'yeah, what's changed?'  But to leftists it's suddenly become real, like they just realized they were also the targets.

A sudden thought that I'm not sure how to describe, the modern *woke* agenda has been around for most of the 21st century.  It already existed, yeah, it was enormously pushed when we all got internet access, ok.  But notice how Democrats simultaneously include the made-up genders of all skin colors and strict Muslims.  Many of us learned we were facing the Muslim world in the early 21st century, myself included.  So how do you get these two groups together?

Well for Muslims it would be just allowing the infidel to be their loony selves.  Muslims can sacrifice themselves for the cause so would it be too hard for them to also push transgenders and women's rights, especially is "population reduction" is one of the policies?  They don't need abortions for their own people but they're fine with it for the infidel.  "Destroy Israel" is an easy way to push this.

And for leftists, well it's just another group of people to get votes from no matter what.  They don't have to question it, they just see themselves as totally right and getting power.  That's what they did in Iran, look how that worked out.  And right now the biggest upcoming name in the Democrat party is a Muslim Socialist.

So, my thinking goes, could this be part of the post-9/11 response?  Convincing Muslims to tie themselves to the easiest American political targets?  They'll grow as a political parasite and their host will weaken to the point where some of them see a real problem now.  This is what they've been pushing all their lives and they'll be the first targets.  Only in America were they able to do this and that's what's being destroyed if they win.  Of course they don't see that, they just see their own chance to win power vanishing.  The further left they are, the less aware and the Muslims are still right there.

The basics have already been out for a while but nobody could confirm this was the actual story.  But nobody really thought it was fake, at worst it might be an earlier draft.  There's no story, just a bunch of characters interacting for things that make no sense.  The whole multiverse will be destroyed for some reason so Dr. Doom will save the day but kill all the characters, then resurrect them as his servants and create Battleworld, setting up the sequel.

There's virtually no mention of any characters other than Doom and the long-established ones we know and like.  So the last several phases have become irrelevant.  A few years ago this was supposed to build up to Kang as the ultimate villain but face it, they probably didn't have any detailed plans for how that story would go either.

An enormous amount of homework would need to be done just to have a clue who's doing what and there's no way to explain why, not in a way people would care about.  At least comic books are read by each individual who decides for themselves how much time and focus to put on a story.  You can re-read or flip pages back and forth to check on something.  Reading itself requires a different part of your brain than staring at a screen for a couple hours.  And although Hollywood refuses to accept this, people really don't care that much about actors, certainly not anymore.  Scarlett Johanson has kept working but hasn't been in a hit for a while and used to be the sexiest woman on the planet.  The rest aren't even that lucky.

We're at a point where we can start predicting movie failures, especially superhero movies and this one will fail without hesitation.  For one thing, it's far too expensive just to get all these actors, there's no way it could ever make a profit.  That isn't the goal here, they're just trying to get people interested in the MCU again so that future movies could be profitable but this won't do it.  It might do ok for the first couple weeks but will vanish very quickly because no one is remotely interested.

As we're seeing with DC and the wonderful failure of Supergirl, you really can't build a franchise deliberately, at least not in movies.  Marvel was a fluke but what else is there?  No one expected Star Wars to be a hit.  The first Star Trek movie had enough trekkies to get a sequel but if the sequel had been more of the same, it would have ended there.  James Bond was a series of successful books long before it became movies.

Marvel is now too big to have any chance of success, especially given the giant corporations and activist actors involved.  The IP is all that matters to them, the story is irrelevant.  But they can't restart either because that doesn't work.  Declaring the old product to be irrelevant means the new product won't be important anymore either.

Then why aren't you there now?  Too lazy?  Democrats haven't won now, why isn't anything being done about that?  Every day another liberal wants to show that racial stereotypes are correct.  And obviously his "people" are fine with that, it's why he keeps getting elected, he's been there for 20 years representing Atlanta.

I'm just being hopeful but it would be nice to hear that most of his party has ditched him.  He can stay in the "house" and the rest will run away.  Otherwise they'll be proving exactly why Democrats have been in charge of them for centuries.  At this point I don't care which way we go, let's just end this conflict.  If you want to be treated as equals, start acting like it.  Otherwise, there's the door.

It would also explain why liberals become Democrats and vice-versa.  That way they can demand more government control over everything because of their experience with the race that can never do better.  So they can just keep demanding more and more power over the "oppressed."  Even more, they can self-identify everybody as "oppressed."  It lines up with Marxism.  The left has always been very capable of figuring out how to insert these basic beliefs anywhere.

The best our side can do is try to keep the government out as much as possible and minimize it where we can't.  Of course there's always a downside to that, they get the 'organized violence,' the courts and can charge taxes to pay for it all.  So there's always ways that things can go wrong and that's without divisions between race, gender, tribe, etc.  It's why the best answer is to keep government simple so everyone can understand it the rare times we can't ignore it.

But we still get this guy who thinks Guam would tip over if it had too many people on it.  What do you do with someone like that?  There's all the obvious answers but are there any decent ones?
