Oh racism, is there anything it can't do?  We're seeing something happen with these Democrat primaries.  I haven't figured out the pattern and it's tough to tell who's being more leftist than who but we've already seen several party members get their plans thrown away.

Swalwell was in the House but was running for California governor.  It wasn't clear if he was was guaranteed to be installed as Newsom's replacement but his chances were very good.  Then women who had stayed quiet for going-on 15 years of his time in the House suddenly accused him last April and that was that.  We just saw that happen with Platner.  He had never held office but somehow was very popular among leftists who had.

With Crockett, she's still in the House but went with the stereotype of wanting to get promoted to a higher office.  But she lost the Texas primary to a white gay leftist who is really focused on children.  I'm sure he'll win the leftist vote but not the black vote which almost guarantees the loss.  A lot of non-white Democrats really don't want to vote for gays but are never attacked as "phobic" for some reason.  But this guy was promoted by national media and Stephen Colbert's talkshow.

There are other examples, Al Green can't be carried by black voters because of redistricting so he has no chance of winning.  I think this is also connected to how the old politicians are really old and the young want to overthrow them, especially the Democrat Socialist movement.  Then there's all the changes the Trump administration has managed to make although it's not clear if they have a specific plan or if it's more about causing chaos.  There's also the L.A. mayoral race where a Republican came in second until the votes had been counted often enough for the chick who'd already dropped out to suddenly beat him.

It's taken them four f*ing years to get this far?  The sort of people you want to conscript should be a bit more aggressive.  As always, I'll assume this won't go anywhere and we definitely won't hear any liberals complaining about the draft.  They still haven't complained that only one of the dozens and dozens of genders they believe in gets picked, like they aren't really about gender equality.

But the rulers of Ukraine and their western allies should be worried.  Just the lack of compliance is a big problem.  If they won't just obey when you send them off to die for the country, they might find other reasons to dissent.  That's not even the worst, all these years Europeans have been told to support Ukrainians.  They weren't told to support the government against the people, that might cause problems at home.

At least in a free society, the population finds their own established forms of speech and communication.  It's easily-available so no one cares much about it.  A tyranny is different, which Ukraine has many years of experience with.  People who aren't allowed to say what they think - "stop fighting Russia!" - will find other ways to express themselves or just withdraw from society altogether.  Even in the west, we've seen similar results for years and it's only starting to change now.  Ukraine has had war, tyranny, leftism and centuries of Russian history building up to this.  They need to silence the population immediately or it could explode.

Sure puts Islam and China in their place.  He makes some good points but face it, this is just Trump being Trump.  You have to look for where his good points are because it's not obvious.  He does cover how self-destructive it is but could have made this point better, could have done it sooner.  Even if it's the biggest threat, it's not the only one.

See?  Which side do these people fall on?  Frankly I'm surprised that only four Americans were there and these four have ties to Iran and Russia anyway, two of them live there and formed a Russian communist party.  Uhhhhhh...  Wha???  I guess they're not worried about the government spying on them or anything.

Anyway, I'm basically complaining about how Trump is demonstrating the threat of communism.  I think we've actually been getting an effective demonstration in the last couple years and that probably matters more than Trump does, but why bother saying this if he can't describe it better?  I know, there are other issues.  He is the leader and individualism isn't really something you can inspire for everyone.  At least he's identifying the threat.

He's been arguing with them, they aren't spending money on NATO and hasn't helped in the fight with Iran.  I guess that's a bit surprising, the US military has long had planes stop off there so why did this make a difference?  There's also Spain's long connection to the Muslim world and they're right across the Mediterranean.  Most of Trump's tariffs aren't getting attention, I'm not even sure they still exist so it's odd that this comes out now.

Europe in general is having these problems.  I know it's Ireland but it's still sorta Europe, at least technically.  How can they be putting up with this?  All those centuries of fighting the English and they just let this happen.  They're supporting the invaders and arresting people for internet posts.  George Orwell would say that's too unbelievable.

This comes from a meeting early this year with a few dozen European leaders.  There are no recordings, at least none for the public but this is described as a "therapy session."  It wasn't just Venezuela, they were also dealing with Trump regarding Greenland.  They wanted to do something but it's suggested some small part of reality got through and they realized they couldn't do anything.

This may explain why there's been at least a little noise about stopping the invasion.  I think some individual nations are looking for ways to get out of the trap.  There's a slight glimmer of hope but no way to know if they have any chance of winning, or even how they could do that?  Short of grabbing guns and shooting all the invaders, what other options are there?
