This article is covering a recent scandal, a black male who failed his way up to be the youngest black professor ever at Cambridge and someone finally got around to checking if his background claims were all lies.  I'm sure there's a lot of that going on at universities but I'm distant enough from them that I don't pay much attention to that.  I was more interested in seeing the downfall of the DEI movement, given its importance to leftism.

There's race, gender, sexuality, whoever gets to self-identify as the biggest victim gets to be in charge.  There's also money and government interference, which is where my interest was and this article didn't cover.  You can add other leftist talking points about abortion, global warming or the trans movement.  This also applies to universities because all of this requires government funding and that's what's been cut off.

DOGE got it started, the Big Beautiful Bill made it official and there's been a lot more discoveries since, but a lot of leftists have lost the funding they always relied on.  Global warming seems to have been the biggest loser at the moment, they all suddenly decided it doesn't matter.  They aren't even picking a date and saying that was the turn-around point, they lost, too late now so don't even bother.  They just went quiet or found something else to do.

This must be hitting them hard although it's impossible to know who's being hit and by how much.  We don't know who has money in the bank or connections they can rely on.  There's probably a lot of leftists who've suddenly realized they need to look out for their own interests instead of the group.  I think there's an increasing cascade of effects going on but kept private as long as possible, until they can no longer afford to feed the beast they've kept hidden from the public.

The judges put in there by Biden and Obama overruled.  I really don't get what the point is for this.  The ballroom was old, needed repair, and it was too small for modern get-togethers.  Because it's part of the POTUS building, there are far more requirements than a normal federal building.  The old room is already torn down so the house is more open to attack but they can't do anything about it because the court decided... it can't be torn down.  These judges might as well go to a morgue and declare that these hospital patients can't die.

The court did give Trump two weeks to appeal to the Supreme Court.  As always I assume they'll support the left although I've usually been wrong on that during this term.  But this is why it's bewildering why the left is so focused on this construction work.  Is it all just this obsession with Orange Man Bad?

As always, we'll never know if there's something bigger going on here.  We have heard hints of Congress having underground tunnels and orgies, it wouldn't be difficult to assume the White House has similar events here which are kept secret.  This would definitely be something that those "in the know" would want to keep secret and that probably includes these circuit judges.  Or at least that's who gives them orders.  This is another reason to be pessimistic about what the Supremes have to say.

I assume he's already preparing to purge the police force.  He'll probably try to shut them down permanently but that won't happen and he doesn't have an organization ready to replace them so he'll need the purge.  This was some annual event where the mayor goes around the boroughs and deals with police, he gave up trying to speak here after half-a-minute.

It's also reported that he's very thin-skinned and doesn't accept criticism well.  That's what leftists do when they're in charge, nobody around him will be allowed to disagree or point out problems.  People are already seeing how the government grocery stores will fail, but only after every other store goes out of business because they can't compete.  But in true fascism, these stores will be run by a private company and we probably won't be told who's profiting from that.

This city is depressing to cover and it's the flagship of the leftist attempt to overthrow the government.  I really don't see how they can last four years with this guy.  Trump hasn't lived in NYC for quite a while but this is clearly still his hometown, so as always I wonder if this was a deliberate plot, a trap set up to show New Yorkers the error of their ways.  Nothing else to hope for, I guess.

□ [“Another Former NBA Player Announces Plans to Enter Next WNBA Draft"]

I wasn't going to comment on this until it went somewhere but that was quick.  Two NBA players have announced that they'll be getting into this and have already checked with their lawyers.  It's discrimination to turn them down, especially given that these players have already proven their ability.

“I identify as a sometimes identifying transgender woman!  My wig is in the mail.”  That shows how seriously they're taking this.  They are deliberately showing how ridiculous the WNBA's policy is.  They have released a statement but it said nothing relevant, other than mentioning their support for "diversity."  Well here you go, you really going to support it?

The WNBA has to lose this fight but it's not clear how long it will take.  If they refuse to allow the NBA to try out, they need to apply an actual standard which is not included in their current policies.  They would be taken to court and the pro-trans arguments would win.  But if they allow the players to try out, virtually every real woman might as well quit because there's no point to competing.  The WNBA would be reduced to a handful of men and trans players and no one could pretend it's a real sporting league.

They never want to accept that these movements are anti-woman, the very same people they always pretended to be defending.  There are metaphors, the serpent eating its own tail, sitting on tree branches while you cut down the trunk.  I don't even see who's benefited by pushing this on the WNBA.  The leftists in charge get good paychecks, anybody else?  It's not even helping the trans movement, much less feminism, much less what sane people are actually interested.
