□ [“The Transgender Trend is Dying: College Students Ditching Trans and Non-Binary Identities"]
Amazing, the federal funding is gone and suddenly a lot fewer people are trying to delude their kids into thinking you can make up your own gender. So much for their claims to be doing it out of morality or whatever the excuse was. If you can't get taxpayer money to brainwash children, they're on their own.
Obviously the 2024 election was very relevant to this but I've always believed the Bud Lite ads were the tipping point. There's a limit to letting people their own delusional selves as long as they don't bother anyone else with it, then there's pushing it out on common products for everyone. It was already going downhill by last November but that's what really nailed it. And suddenly even the leftist leaders aren't bothering. It didn't help them to gain more power so it's irrelevant.
I'm wondering what other changes they've made. Last February (I think) there was a big meeting by party leaders on what they're getting wrong. I've been editing my writing from the time and came on a list of their topics of discussion. Several were about the overuse of identity politics, as the trans are learning here, but another one was “Lack of a Positive National Identity Message.”
Notice how the left has suddenly started saying they're proud Americans and they hate MAGA for destroying it. They cite Thomas Jefferson and George Washington and people they despised just last year. Suddenly those slaveowners also did things that are worth honoring, who'da guessed? That's actually a good tactic, I can't think of an obvious way to identify these people as the enemy. But it's also trying to keep their numbers from decreasing as more and more people back away from leftism.

Day 15 without a federal government. Remember when people used to care about this stuff? They were talking about how we didn't have a government and it was horrible. Now it's like they're just going on with their day-to-day lives. That's like the most evil thing that's ever happened in the history of the world. When was the last time the news told us that Trump had chained Democrats down and forced them to vote against re-opening the government?
I tell ya, if they don't start taking some action, I'm going to stop showing up at their protest rallies. There aren't any hot chicks so there's not much reason to go anyway. But I didn't realize that shutting the government down would mean the post office can't deliver checks from all the NGOs I belong to, so I'm running a little short of money this month.

□ [“Clinton Judge Blocks Trump Admin from Firing Federal Workers During Schumer Shutdown"]
There's a bunch of new articles on activist judges trying to call the shots. They've been doing that all year but they look like they're timing this all in unison. This one is a claim that the firings are politically-motivated - which they were because Trump said they were - and that there would be some evidence to show these firings were illegal and beyond his authority.
Uh, the Supreme Court has already ruled that the POTUS has this authority. He can fire who he wants for any reason. If you're going to oppose the Supreme Court, take it up with them. I'm sure there will be an immediate appeal by Trump and although I'm still not confident in the Supreme Court doing the right thing, their record in 2025 has been fairly good for the executive branch. It would be nice if Roberts just puts out a statement that, yes, he has that authority. Stop pretending otherwise.
But another sign of the judicial activism is that they're becoming very blatant about who they side with politically. There's all the people they set free who go out to murder people. DOGE employee "Big Balls" had been beaten up by a gang, leftists applauded the gang and they are free without spending a single day in jail. They're trying to block the Commander-in-Chief's authority over the troops and deployments, or ban ICE from arresting illegal invaders.
□ [“Ketanji Brown Jackson Compares Black People to Disabled People During Arguments on Race-Based Voting Districts"]
The fact that she's made it to the Supreme Court shows how deeply this insanity runs in the judiciary (and everywhere else.) She's not a biologist so she doesn't know what a "woman" is, but she's able to declare that “They (blacks) don’t have equal access to the voting system. They’re disabled.” She's comparing people in wheelchairs getting access to the voting booth to blacks not being able to pick their fellow blacks because of gerrymandering. Wonder what her reaction would be if blacks disagreed with her.

□ [“Blue-State Governors Attempt to Undermine RFK Jr. by Setting Up a ‘Shadow’ Health Alliance"]
This is one of those things where I suspect the Trump administration has planned for multiple possible options. If it works, it shows that states can handle things themselves without the federal government being involved. Most likely it will fail big-time and show what's wrong with Obamacare, since these states will just push even harder.
California, Washington, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Oregon, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Colorado, Illinois and North Carolina. The left coast, a batch of states in the northeast and a few other states in the middle. That's not going to be very unified. At best the drug companies will be able to raise their prices a lot more, for transportation if nothing else. And the states can always raise taxes. Might get some people in California angry though, why are they funding Rhode Island and Delaware?
They'll also be able to force people to wear masks, prevent them from leaving home, force vaccinations with recently-invented chemicals. They've done that before and look how well it worked for them. If they haven't already set up a 'shadow government,' i.e. Confederacy 2.0, they will soon. Then they'll wonder why 40% of their citizens have vanished, like they found an underground railroad.
□ [“Los Angeles County Declares 'State of Emergency' Over ICE Raids — Mobilizes Taxpayer-Funded 'Relief Efforts'"]
Then there's the cities and counties doing the same thing. They're already giving the federal government even more of an excuse to send the troops in and they're going to be just as belligerent against the new confederacy. Real history is full of examples of this sort of thing happening but leftist history ignores that.
