So far it doesn't sound like to day was the big event I wanted at the UN but there was a lot of stuff going on here and around the world.  Trump did show up to make his speech and included this deal.  This one was strange, we're not told the actual purpose for this.  My guess is that it's about connection to the North Pole but what we need that for, I dunno.  We used to have bases there during the cold war, they have mostly closed down and this deal will reopen some.

I'm more amused by the fact that Trump just brought this up a year or so ago, I don't think he'd ever mentioned it before.  Suddenly it was a big deal although it was quickly overshadowed by everything else.  Europe started talking like they'd send in some troops, but eventually realized that they don't have any troops so they've got nothing to contribute to this discussion.  Frankly I wish more of Trump's deals were like this, a bit of noise at the start and then it gets ignored until he wins.

Trump also attacked the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and the International Criminal Court (ICC.)  Corruption, not doing anything except demanding control, I don't see anything particularly relevant about his attack here but it needs to be done and no one else would do it.  He also singled Cuba out and their delegation left.  I think Cuba has been very relevant to the UN since around 1959 so Trump might be trying to do something about that.

Trump also singled out Iran, that they need to make a deal or be obliterated.  I keep saying this is Trump's last chance to handle things and nothing keeps happening.  But to be fair, there's usually some evidence to support Trump that things are moving in the right direction.  There were Iranian protesters outside, opposing the regime.  Apparently Iran's president will speak at the UN tomorrow, wonder how that will go.

More relevantly, Iranian state tv is reporting that they're executing people who disagree with the government, people who are already in prison.  A government confident that it will maintain power doesn't need to show this, it would just be embarrassing.  It's also reported that an "unknown flying object" is being seen in Iran.  For convenience, I'll assume this is connected to the aircraft of "munitions" that took off from Britain a few days ago and this is one of the more advanced forms of military attack.  For those 'in the know,' Trump was announcing what would happen.

Most of the news circling around Trump's UN speech comes from Europe but there's this one from North Korea.  This is probably the most incomprehensible nation on the planet.  They work for China so there is a goal but beyond that, there's no understanding of what they do or why.  Periodically they start making noise or threats so naturally they're going to do that now.  And here they are.

In Europe, several countries are suddenly rumbling with scandal or opposition.  In Sweden, electoral fraud became very blatant when a Somali immigrated to the country and seven months later gets elected to parliament.  There's already evidence that he bribed people and faked votes but that was enough.  And there's still elections waiting to be counted when the overseas Somali vote shows up.  They're all for the left, as you might expect.

In Romania, the government has just arrested the winner of the presidential election.  I can't find anything in the way of charges beyond vague claims of fraud and running a criminal gang.  In Spain, the prime minister's wife is being charged with bribes and embezzlement.  In Hungary, the newly-elected prime minister is complaining that Hungary is being forced into a group of nations designed to support Ukraine and Hungary has not consented to this.

It's been a few days since we've heard anything about protests against the invaders or the government or the economy, I'm pretty sure the population hasn't changed its mind on any of that.  This is the sort of thing where if elites are smart, they'd stay the hell out of the public's way, out of self-preservation if nothing else.  I'd be fine with a lot of these leaders being on the end of a noose but even I know that's not a good way to solve these problems.  Europe looks very ready to explode.  At least Macron got to meet Trump before today's UN speech, probably begging for help.

Oh really?  How, exactly, do you found a church that's not based on belief?  Isn't that the point of a church?  Sounds like someone figured out how to slip through some legal definitions and came up with an option that fills in the right boxes without doing the official task.  I'm also guessing this isn't the only "church" that's doing such things.

So I have to wonder what other perks these "churches" have found to make use of.  Given leftist hypocrisy and accusing others of doing what they themselves are doing, this might provide some explanation behind their urge to ban religion.  Well, some religions, they're going to keep promoting Islam, but you get my point.  What financial benefits do these "churches" get that they want to ban others from getting?

I'll take it as a given that this has been going on for a long time and would explain the degradation of organized churches.  They put people in charge who get nominated for promotion and train their successors so over the decades, they're able to rise to the top.  That would explain a lot.  The "pastor" is female, what a coincidence.

She was co-founder of a leftist black activist group, I think it's called "1619," and has an editorial in the New York Times explaining how she ruined her daughter's life.  No self-awareness, she's still fine with it and doesn't recognize what she's admitting.

She and her husband got to go to good schools as kids, they were able to learn.  But since she's a leftist, everybody has to be treated that way, or nobody is, so she made sure her daughter went to a run-down grade school where nobody got taught anything.  Maybe a bit about activism but that's about it.

Her daughter complained about this for years, her mother ignored it.  I guess she got a bit more involved and eventually she was looking at the homework in her daughter's backpack and noticed that none of it was ever graded.  Absolutely no record kept by the school if her daughter was learning anything they were paid to teach.

Excuse me, you only now noticed this?  You didn't ask your daughter what grades she was getting?  You didn't ask the school for a record to show how good or bad her grades were?  Your daughter was nothing at all to you except a tool for your activism.  Otherwise you'd have given her some sort of attention, especially after years of complaining how bad the school was.  But nope, none of that.  Have to promote leftism, that's all there is to it.

Eventually the daughter was permitted to go to a better school, where she's surrounded by teenagers who actually got to learn something.  Because teen girls have no problems looking stupid in front of their peers.  The daughter was pissed, her parents were rich enough to send her to a better school but deliberately chose not to.  How soon until she runs away and gets pregnant?  This is what leftism does.  It's why it never works and only deludes itself into thinking it matters in a good way.
