There's been no word of what's been going on in Ottawa.  A bit of footage yesterday of the police moving in and using tear gas, that's it.  [The tear gas might have been Paris, not Ottawa].  You'd think everybody would be filming this, you'd think people in the nearby buildings would be posting images, something.  But I haven't found anything.  Is it over?

This doesn't look good for the US Convoy.  It's not like the government won't be prepared.  Right now, the only option I see is if truckers flat-out stop.  No convoy, no protests, just finish their latest jobs, get home and stay there.  Blame the virus if needed.

When I was in the Army, there was a straightforward leadership.  Commander+Sergeant-Major, senior officers and NCOs, lower-ranks, etc.  Rank made a big difference, even in situations where you were free to ignore people who outrank you.  But at least the structure was there and we all understood it, even a new guy could walk in and figure it out pretty quickly.

There's totally valid reasons why there isn't a clear leadership here, a similar form of knowing who's in charge of what and being able to follow the line.  But we need something.  We need actual leadership.  How hard would it be to set the US Convoy up for failure?  They've still got two and a half weeks to plan and prepare and we still don't have a clue what's going on.

I did watch the livestream speech yesterday and it did nothing for me.  I get that these guys aren't trained leaders but I saw nothing suggesting there was even a plan.

Is this giving up?  Well, that's what they did yesterday and you don't hear anybody complaining about that.  Feel free to post video of the crowds in Ottawa demanding freedom right now on Sunday morning.  Or maybe you don't feel free to post such video.  That's giving up.

I live right next to an interstate and usually see a lot of trucks going by.  I have noticed that there have been some but not a lot this weekend.  Maybe I'm just not looking, maybe they're just taking a weekend off.  I'd like to hope that they're planning something else.  They don't need to protest, they just need to not drive trucks.

Probably a few who love driving trucks so much that they'll do it under any circumstance.  Probably more who are in desperate need of money and this is what they're good at.  Still more who have some similar reason.  And maybe they're all out there as usual, I just didn't happen to see many on the rare moments I looked at the interstate.

They don't need to protest.  Simply not working will cause just as many problems as there were in Canada and they won't be yelled at for honking.  Won't even have to get the cops involved and I suspect that a lot of police will appreciate that.  I just saw a video from an Arizona sheriff telling officers to stand-down on these mandates.  That's a good thing.

No way to know if this is true.  Haven't been able to find out any more info today.

And that's how he's always been.  Probably couldn't think of anything to say so he had to just be himself.  No, they don't care about freedom.  Stabbing people with deadly chemicals against their will is what he wants and it's what whoever's in charge wants.

Well, if you can stomach rap music, this is about as good as it gets in the 21st century.  It's an actual music video and I haven't seen a new one of those in ages.  No melody, but it's about as strong as rap lyrics can get.  I'd still rather listen to "We're Not Gonna Take It" but whatever.

In other news, I've finished a pamphlet today.  Well, I can't call it a book but it's several dozen pages I've written since my last book came out, so it's really up-to-date.  I don't know if I'll continue doing this but it seems like a neat idea, just publish 60 or 70 pages.  It's not like that hasn't been done for freedom before.

Ideally this will be essentially a first draft, then I'll edit as needed and put them together for actual books.  Or at least pick the material that works best for future books.  I dunno,
