□ [“Schumer Makes a Fool of Himself When Asked Why Biden Never Released the Epstein Files"]

So this may be the main story this week, will they actually release the files and will anybody believe them?  Schumer doesn't specifically mention Trump but the "what the hell is he hiding?" approach makes it clear that he didn't even noticed that the question was about Biden.  Or maybe he did and he's doing a really bad job of avoiding the question.  Or maybe he has more in common with Biden than Democrats are willing to admit.  He's only eight years and three days younger, senility can getcha.

Trump is back to where he was ten months ago, saying the files should be released right away.  The only way this works is if a very tight trap was being set up for Democrats and I still don't see that happening.  But a few names have started coming out.  Not big names that most of us would have heard of but at least slightly more relevant than what we know so far.

SDNY US attorney Jay Clayton was responsible for investigating Epstein while also working with known Epstein clients who are relevant elsewhere.  He worked with Reid Hoffman who pushed E. Jean Carroll onto Trump so that she could claim he raped her.  He also worked with Leon Black to push cryptocurrency during Trump's first term.  To promote their preferred cryptocurrency, Clayton also worked with Lowell Ness, a partner at Perkins Coie, a Seattle-based *woke* lawfirm that has infected many big corporations and pushed DEI.  But I know them for working with Hillary Clinton to get the fake Russian dossier about Trump.

None of this is immediate evidence of guilt but there is a sense of the same people hanging out with each other to achieve the same goals again and again.  There's also Rep. Stacey Plaskett, a Democrat from the US Virgin Islands.  She can't vote but she's paid to talk to Congress.  When ex-Trump attorney Michael Cohen testified to Congress against Trump in February 2019, Epstein was feeding Plaskett questions to use.  Epstein had also donated to her campaign, perhaps they had other connections.  Epstein Island was located in the Virgin Islands after all.

I'm disappointed at how much thought I'm putting into this given that I already assume we'll learn nothing relevant and even if we do, nothing will happen.  So far there's nothing about this that couldn't have been released six months or six years ago.  The connections between these people are too vague to be more than a neat coincidence without solid evidence and I keep making this point but there's no reason to believe solid evidence.

□ [“Trump Says US May Start Negotiations With Venezuela"]

Something may be happening here.  If true, it sounds like Maduro realizes he either needs to surrender or hope he survives long enough to escape, assuming anyone is willing to take him in.  At least if he gives in, the US might allow him to stay in power, at least long enough to affect his connections to BRICS and the Americas.

□ [“Maduro Sings Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ at Political Rally"]

Ok, we must have already won whatever the conflict was and told him to humiliate himself with this.  There's only a few bits from the clip, he sings the opening line, then someone off-stage starts playing the actual song.  He tries waving his hands like it'll influence the audience.  What little I see, he's barely even trying to sing along although the crowd is trying to join in.  But nobody could be a serious dictator and get away with this.  Whatever we're doing down south must be working.

□ [“Mexico President Sheinbaum Blames the Right and Refuses to Tackle the Cartels"]

Then there's these protests.  Still not sure what they're doing.  There was a clip of protesters chanting "antifa."  If true, it's something to be wary of but wtf is the point?  They could overthrow the Mexican government but would be just as easy to overthrow by Trump or anyone else.  I dunno, maybe they just want to get rid of some important documents before they're discovered.  But at least the chick-in-charge seems clueless about what's going on, that'll help.

Otherwise, "Operation Southern Spear" is taking out drug boats in the Caribbean.  Trump says he's willing to go after the cartels.  He'll even go to Congress to make it official.  As I've said before, I am fine with the US being the world policeman and especially in our own region, this is the sort of thing we should be doing more of.

□ [“Trump is in Talks with Democrats to Totally Gut Obamacare"]

Definitely a potential win and off-the-top of my head, sounds like a decent chance of success.  Trump loves negotiations.  He has all those years of running a business so he knows how Obamacare affects them.  He had his first term to look at it from the government side.  Covid showed how it could be abused.  DOGE explored all the waste and the shutdown would give the executive branch time to work out something better.  Maybe I'm just being ridiculously-optimistic but there's actually a chance here.

And Democrats don't have anything to work with.  Obamacare was supposed to be this huge victory but fifteen years later, they're just whining about how "broken" the healthcare system is.  That was what Obamacare was supposed to fix, remember?  But they never did, they just funneled more and more money to Big Pharma and insurance companies, which has nothing to do with actual medical care.  Of course they didn't complain about how "broken" it was under Biden or Obama, it's just one of those things that's only bad when Republicans are in charge.

Obama's going to need to fight this but what leverage does he have?  The whole point was to quit calling it "Obamacare" because it was so great and we never did.  He really hasn't helped Democrats much in the last decade and that's including installing Biden as a puppet.  To be honest he didn't help them much when he was POTUS either but at least he had the role at the time.  Now all he can do is backroom deals - which it's possible he's good at; we wouldn't know because it's all kept private - but that's not going to help modern politicians who have to deal with the public.  Doesn't have people who will fight for him either.

□ [“Michelle Obama Rules Out POTUS Run Because Sexism — Americans Have a ‘Lot of Growing Up To Do’"]

We made her rich and famous for doing nothing and she doesn't even have the sense to realize that.  No gratitude, no self-awareness, just arrogance and demand for more.  And she gets to be surrounded by people who put up with this.  She's allowed to spout off like this while promoting her new book at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, showing how clueless she really is.

She has been making more public appearances lately.  She and Obama have at least hidden whatever marital problems they're having.  He's limited for public appearances and she's making a mostly-failed attempt to have some public image that isn't completely based on the ring on her finger.  Not sure she still has a podcast, no one ever seems to mention it, even to criticize it.

The impression I get is that the Obamas, especially Michelle, are just coming off as 'out of date.'  They were able to push the *woke* agenda back when he was in office but that's now mostly past-tense and laughable.  Or just plain offensive because people don't have time or interest in putting up with that any longer.  At least Obama had to beat Hillary and win elections, Michelle has no chance of doing any of that.  She's just becoming a very negative stereotype of aging black females and will never do any better.  But *we're* the ones who need to grow up.
