Not official, she hasn't said anything about it, this just comes from unnamed Democrats, as usual.  But it's probably true.  There's her age, her health, her wealth, not to mention the fact that the rest of the party probably wants her gone.  It's been almost a year since she filed for re-election so it might be interesting to see who she picks to replace her in this installed position.  What are the odds she selects her daughter?  That's how nobility functions.

Reportedly she's waiting to see the results of this week's elections, specifically a California vote on redistricting.  California is a 'one party state' so I'm sure it'll win but this seems a stupid excuse.  What did Nancy do to make it happen?  Might as well cite the Virginia and NYC elections that are probably being stolen as I write this.

It's unclear how much things will actually change.  She stopped leading House Democrats only in the official sense.  She still makes all the decisions and lets the male she installed take the blame, there's no reason to think that'll change when she's actually out of office.  But she is old and weak so Democrats would like a change in leadership.  Perhaps she'll still call the shots or maybe she'll think that's happening but the others just ignore her.

Day 34 without a federal government.  Something about Trump I guess.  What a meanie he is.  He said that thing and everybody obeys him, even the government which he shut down.  We had nothing to do with it, we're just helpless pawns of Trump.  I'm really running out of things to say here.  I though we were supposed to be tough and form a resistance against Trump running the government.  Who would lie to us about that?

Where are the celebrities?  What are we supposed to do without their instructions?  We don't have movies to tell us what to think, it's like everyone's just given up.  Our only hope is for a couple zillion people to decide to start voting tomorrow they all support our side because we're right about everything.  Just like the last election and the election before that and the two or three before that, this is the most important election in history and we're guaranteed to win.

She used to be popular back when she was young and being passed around, now she's in her mid-30s.  She's been in over 30 movies, over half of them between 2011 to 2016.  Don't know if she was the "it" girl at any point but it's clearly as prominent as she'll ever get.  So now she says this stuff and is still quite self-absorbed about it.  Someone could have told her this ten or fifteen years ago and she would have ignored it.

That said, there's still some progress being made.  It probably has more to do with the failure of the last few years of strikes, the damage to the theater industry and the upcoming danger posed by A.I. but at least some in Hollywood might be realizing they've gone too far.  There's just no incentive to put up with these rich idiots who look down on the rest of us.  If Mark Hammill can make the only good Star Wars trilogy unwatchable, any career and any franchise can be over very quickly.  [Not saying he's done that, just pointing out the possibility.]

But I don't think this will work very well either.  Actors are considered the most lower-class of artists with their self-absorption and movies are the most hypocritical collectivist of artforms.  Even the cheapest ones require dozens of people and a lot of money to make even a crappy work, any other art form focuses more on the work of the individual.  Lawrence is just hurting because her star-power is gone and being a hissy leftist didn't help.

For a tyrant, he's sure willing to comply a lot.  Maybe that's how kings roll, I wouldn't know.  But judges can give just give orders.  Given all the money the Trump administration has moved around, I'm sure they have some back-ups and this would conveniently end the threat of looting for the time being.  But the recipients wouldn't know how long this will last so they've got incentive to demand the government re-open and that means Democrats have to get out of the way.

I don't see anything specific on "partially" covering the benefits but it's noted that a lot of this money goes to illegal immigrants who are then told to vote for Democrats.  It's also noted that a lot of recipients are spending these benefits on expensive food and other goodies.  Why not, it's not like they need to get a job.  I would guess these people are the first ones to not get any benefits.

It's also noted that leftist states are hiding their SNAP data from the federal government, implying that they use this to win over a lot of voters.  I've suspected for a while that the Democrat base is getting smaller because of the old people and more manufactured for what remains.  Bribing illegals may be one of their main sources of votes at this point so if they're not getting anything, they'll leave.

He's either guaranteed to win no matter how stupid he acts or (less likely) guaranteed to lose so he might as well show off his leftism.  You don't do something like this to win over voters, it would be more likely to repulse them.

It's already coming out that he's bribing and instructing illegals how to vote for him.  I hope the Trump administration is at least following him to see everything the left does to steal elections so they can have preparations ready by next year.  They have already found 'cash for votes' operations going on in North Carolina so I hope they're working on this.  They're also finding law enforcement officials who work for the cartels - Mississippi specifically - so there's probably even more connections.

More than just hoping that I'm wrong and the left really does lose tomorrow's elections, I'd like to think that the Trump administration has really cut down a lot of the structures they'd always relied on.  Someone like Mandani would never have gotten anywhere in the old days but now he can go straight towards the seat of power surrounded by applause and doesn't have to actually accomplish anything.
