Day 40 without a federal government.  Wow man, the big four-oh.  I never realized we'd make it this far.  My parents say they're tired of paying for me and I should go out and get a job but I'm still finding myself.  I would have found myself earlier but Trump prevented me because he's a dictator.

I hear they're getting ready to re-open the government.  I hope they do but only if we get everything we want and they get nothing.  Otherwise just leave it closed and we can blame them for everything.  It's a win-win.  And then next November, we don't need to attract voters because there's no government, we'll just be in charge of everything.  The only problem with this plan is what if Trump tries to do the same thing?

□ [“Senate to Hold Vote on Spending Bill as Democrats Expected to Vote in Favor"]

By the time I finish writing this, the vote may be over, so I'll just take a guess.  First of all, I'm sure it'll pass the Senate tonight.  Enough Democrats will support it that some Republicans can drop out and it'll still pass.  Second of all, it sounds like a complete cave by Republicans, keeping the Obamacare subsidies, requiring all the fired federal employees to get their jobs back, all the bad things you'd expect.  Second-and-a-half of all, Democrats are attacking their party as caving in with people like Bernie Sanders saying they should vote against it.

I know the saying about politics being an ending where nobody is happy with the results but I would definitely oppose that here.  Which leads me to the third thing, that this isn't the bill the House passed and they're still not in-session, so the fight isn't remotely over.  Unless Republicans in the House cave.  The Obamacare subsidy reportedly isn't in this bill but this vote is about having the subsidy voted on in December.  That sounds like a trap, either Democrats with no chance of winning or Republicans because they'll cave.

If some bill passes both houses, I assume Trump will not veto it.  If he does, you or I might prefer that but he gives everyone in Congress an excuse to turn on him and it's not clear what other options he'd have.  Whatever the results, I don't think he'd do that.  He might start pushing for a line-item veto but that's not going to happen any time soon.

I just checked and there's still no report on a Senate vote yet.  As I said, I'm sure it'll pass and then they'll have to wait for the House to do something when they re-open later this week.  It might be better if the Senate can't make it happen, then it's still their problem.  At this point both sides might be rushing to come up with something and re-open the government - i.e. the Republicans cave - but there's still a lot of fights before that actually passes.

Tell us that you're totally expendable without using those words.  This gang has gotten agreement with the city of Chicago - and probably the state of Illinois, if not other states - to attack federal government agents.  What are they going to do if the National Guard is with the BPA?  Or any other active duty?

I'm guessing this was already part of the plan to move troops into Chicago.  This way they can wipe out a bunch of criminals - thereby making Chicago citizens safer - but it will also work as an excuse to eradicate the rest of the gang and their government lackies.  They are making full use of the 'insurrection' or 'national emergency' category for Trump to go medieval on their ass and this is the perfect excuse.  Congress and the Supreme Court won't be able to ignore that without declaring that they're in the side of the gangs.

The gang is being set-up.  I'm sure they're being paid but under-the-table so they can't be open about it with the public.  And after a few real gunfights, what are they supposed to do next?  Get other gangs to help?  They can't exactly draft any replacements.  And even more non-white Chicago people will be supporting the federal government doing something about this instead of their leftist masters.

This isn't even the first year they've done this.  But once again they aren't causing a total nationwide power-outage that leaves millions of Ukrainians to suffer.  Uh, are we sure we're talking about RUSSIA doing this?  That's not the Russia I know.  You'd think that would be one of the first things they did.  Since they've done it before, they're clearly capable of doing just that.  Yet they didn't.  I need a minute to think, it's like the world doesn't make sense anymore.

You have to wonder why Ukrainians are putting up with their own rulers putting them through this.  They'd have fewer problems - and a larger population - if they just surrendered.  Meanwhile Russia has probably been including the threat from NATO all along, so they're demonstrating what they could do to Europe if it really wants to get involved.  The use of drones is definitely changing warfare and there's a lot of targets in Poland, Germany, France, etc. that they could be used against.  How badly do you want to fight?

They've taken over another city, Pokrovsk, the last major bastion of Donetsk, one of the major goals of this war.  I can't remember the last time we were told that Ukraine was on the verge of winning.  It's been quite the opposite for a long time.  The EU and the left have really stopped paying attention to it, beyond funding and equipment.  When was the last time we heard celebrities demanding everyone do something about this?  It's like they just want to keep it going because it's all they know anymore.  And they probably still have money being laundered through Ukraine.

I notice this is suddenly getting attention now that she's decided not to run for re-election.  Probably not a coincidence.  After 40 years, the feds are finally looking into how she got so rich on a congressman's salary.  Her stock market return rate is 16,930%, vastly more successful than professional investors.  Gee, wonder what her secret is.

All those years as Speaker of the House, she could have been pushing tax laws to take away the money from rich people just like her, yet she never did.  And all her fellow Democrats who despise the rich could have pushed that, yet they never did.  Because they're so devoted to leftism, they only focus on people who are richer than them.

And that's always the way it goes.  Can't let poor people be part of the party for leftists.  Well, except as servants.  He didn't hesitate, just went straight to the 'elite' side and other than a few lies here or there, won't be dealing with the peasants any longer.  Will he get rich enough in this job or will he be aspiring to go to Congress in a few years?  Either way, the left will totally support that and never demand he pay more in taxes.
