Russia's a little busy right now, might not be able to send fresh military supplies across the Pacific and through the canal.  Maybe call back next year.  Meanwhile China's negotiating with the US about a lot of things and whether they're serious or not, they're not going to mess up their plans by suddenly protecting Venezuela.  Their priority is China and Maduro shouldn't forget that.

Officially Trump still hasn't made a decision, which I assume is totally false.  We're fighting that trafficking boats but aren't told much else, which makes sense.  If Maduro is taken down, that'll probably be immediately known around the world and we're probably contacting anyone we can that might make that happen soon.  I'm pretty sure Trump does not want to send in any large number of troops but he'll give the impression that he'll do anything.  He's just that nuts, which the left keeps promoting.

So what's Maduro going to do?  He's a leftist dictator so he's unpopular anyway.  He didn't even get the benefit of taking power himself, he was just installed by his predecessor, another leftist dictator but much more popular among the left.  He has to be paranoid just to keep his job but now even the people around him see his time is running short, not to mention the public.

There are other BRICS members who might help but effectively if China and Russia aren't going to help him, he's screwed.  There's no one else to turn to other than his own subordinates who might want to gain power more than they want to protect him at all costs.  It might still take a while but it looks like Trump is headed for another win without needing a war.

Day 33 without a federal government.  Man, it's just so freaky to not have a government we have to obey.  Not that we obeyed anyway, but you get my point.  Wait, what is my point?  We need a government we can ignore and we blame the people who voted to keep open the government we didn't want and we'll vote for the people who took the government away because we want a government...  Look, just vote Democrat, ok?  That explains everything.

We're getting kind of burned out that this is lasting so long.  I keep telling everyone that we'll all die without the government to protect us but a couple weeks ago they got sick and tired of me saying that every day.  And you know, now that I put it like that, I kinda see their point.  They still need to die so I can prove I was right, but if being without a government doesn't kill them, we need to re-open the government so they can finally die.  Because we care so much.

I think this is the first incident we've heard of from DC in a few months.  Now *maybe* it's just Halloween and the kids are going to act all nutty but it's best to assume this was deliberate.  They were sent out by their masters to attack.  It's a little more complicated, the details suggest they started out fighting each other but then the NG and police got involved so they became the targets.  But the kids had all gathered together where they knew the NG and police were.  Perhaps they were gangs that had been given orders and fought each other first just because that's the normal thing to do.

The black female DC mayor - whom we haven't heard much from since she decided to support the Trump administration - has imposed an 11pm curfew for the week on anyone under 18.  Her black female police chief also spoke outspoken out in favor of the police making sure this doesn't happen again.  My impression is that these two were told they wouldn't keep their jobs if they continued supporting the left and since then, they've tried to be good girls.  At least in public but given how little attention DC has gotten since then, I think that's what they're doing.

But all these gangs could do was fight each other and the police, meaning they don't have many other available targets in DC.  Someone should ask Democrats in Congress why they aren't complaining about this but we know the answer.  They'd just look stupid to their voters who which there'd be more law enforcement in their communities.  For that matter, the noise seems to have stopped for the time being about Trump sending forces into other cities.  No clue what's going on but my guess would be that he's winning whatever the argument is about.

The latest rumor is that Democrats are holding off on the shutdown until after this week's elections.  The point is to see how much they were hit by last year's elections and the results since then.  No matter what happens I'm not sure any of this will make much difference since they're competing against each other on whose vision is best for the party.  AOC hasn't actually talked to a hundred million Americans but she claims to know what they all think.  Wouldn't it be easier to just tell her what she wants to hear and she'll believe it?

And other Democrats are trying to make their own play.  Is Newsom on drugs, he's just coming off as being in another state of consciousness here.  He certainly can't fit in with Fetterman or AOC but this shows how the party is falling apart.  The worry about the upcoming elections probably makes this even worse for them, the last month of government shutdown is hanging over them and they have no clue if voters will fall for this.

I still assume they've got the elections handled no matter what but I also still hope to be wrong about that.  It would be very nice to see that there's an unstoppable majority of sane people out there, even Democrats.  My back-up choice would be that the thefts are so obvious that there's no way the party can ignore it anymore and they'll just make things worse for themselves by carrying on.  This would also mean the Trump administration could see how their election thefts work and would be in a better position to stop them a year from now.

It gets even bigger, Elon Musk just told Joe Rogen that this was about the illegal immigrant vote.  Democrats only win elections by paying them off so they've shut down the government until they get that back.  So in a sense, this is the party's last chance to win elections.  And there's more.  Obamacare benefits are being cut off unless Democrats win votes to keep them going.  This was deliberately scheduled precisely to bribe (or extort) voters into going along when required, 'vote for us this November or you'll lose everything in a few months!'  This is how their plans are designed and installed on the public.

Not someone who understands the mentality of driving a car.  It lets you control your own movement and direction without relying on someone (or something) else to make decisions.  In just a few hours, you can get a gas tank of distance away from the wife, the job, whatever else you want to escape.  Then, if you have the money, you can fill the tank and get even further.  No one's going to give that up to let A.I. do everything.

I get the impression that most people are willing to step back away from the most current technology trends.  A.I. is the most obvious example, simply because we cannot and should not trust it, but there's also the urge to return to simpler times when we had to things for ourselves, even with all the advantages of technology.  Another example is the way people are posting videos of actual bands making music, even if they're just covering fun songs from decades ago.  There's an appeal to what A.I. can do with some of this but it's just better to have actual people doing the work.

I've even heard somewhere that old-school video games are making a comeback, because they require so much devotion to their attempted stories.  It's just an amusing waste of time to have dots blip other dots instead of having to fit into this manufactured fantasy.  There's also the same impression from people being interested in old movies instead of modern garbage.  I'm not saying it's a good use of time but there's still more creativity and actual thought going into it than cgi-dominated corporate IPs.

I'm not saying this is a massive improvement in our lives, just the fact that everybody (myself included) is addicted to our cellphones is a problem.  We need to remember that this technology is a tool to benefit what's important in our lives, it's not supposed to be the center of everything.
