Trump is old, there are legitimate reasons to worry but that's as far as Democrats can get with anyone who doesn't already believe whatever nonsense they're spouting out now.  There's probably no way to make this an official law but anybody who doesn't have concrete proof that they had the same issues with Joe Biden must be ignored for saying anything like this ever again.  You wasted your credibility, live with it.

They've been saying this nonsense for a while but all of a sudden it's gotten louder.  I have to wonder if this isn't just saying what they're told to say but could there be a timeline requirement here?  For the first, let's say, sixteen months they were still capable of remembering Biden's senility or they would be humiliated if someone brought that up when they criticized Trump.  But now time has passed and they can officially pretend it never happened.

Just a look at Trump's schedule shows that he's busy.  I'm having trouble finding any record of Joe Biden's daily schedule but we know he wasn't busy.  There was little in the mornings or evenings and it was often left blank.  He had plenty of time to rest.  Trump is a workaholic so it's natural that he takes a moment here or there to close his eyes and then get back to whatever he's doing.  They never even notice contradiction of him being a tyrant yet also being senile and always asleep.

They avoid saying anything specific but it's clear they endorse him.  Because they agree with him on everything or they just have such low standards that they don't care.  This is what Orange Man Bad is doing to the party.  Given that they're admitting they'll impose tyranny on anyone they don't like, it's obvious they'll take anyone they think will help get them there.

I'm getting they're going to say as little about Platner as possible.  Anything else might hurt his chances of winning.  They've supported him this long, they'll stick with it.  But they are worried that he has still more secrets ready to be exposed.  Republicans are giving the impression that they have more but it might just be an empty threat, just to make Democrats react badly.  Or they do have more and maybe it won't make a difference.  It depends on how well the party can steal the election and how many real voters are as pathetically desperate as Democrat leaders.

I also have a theory that they already knew about his shenanigans, they just didn't see anything wrong with it.  A lot of them have nazi tattoos and abused girlfriends, they just don't have any reason to show it in public.  The sort of behavior that you insist it's totally right and justified but for some reason don't want people outside the group to know about.  The sort of things you claim to oppose when other people do them.

I'm still pessimistic and assume Platner will win by any means necessary but either way I think this will be a huge problem for the party.  If he wins, they're stuck with him rising to power and everybody else with the same mentality, proof that they can get away with it.  If he loses they'll be forced to ask how they let it get this far.  Given everything else they're still hiding from their own supporters, that's even more internal chaos spilling out.

I thought the Big Beautiful Bill had made sure ICE was funded for the next few years anyway.  Maybe it's done by an alternate form of funding and this is just an official congressional use of taxpayer money.  But I'd swear I was told ICE funding hadn't stopped, even in the shutdown.  Oh well, as the saying goes, I write this stuff down so I don't have to remember it.

This bill still has to get through the House.  Reportedly that will be easy, we'll see about that, but it's a complete loss for Democrats.  None of their anti-ICE demands get met and the best they can do is cut off non-ICE related issues which should have nothing to do with this bill at all ever under any circumstances!  What's wrong with you people?  Trump had started a 'weaponization fund' for those who were persecuted by the Biden administration, that seems to be over, and this also hits the rebuilding of the White House ballroom.  Because that's what ICE is all about I guess.

If it passes the House - and Uniparty is really desperate to win something here so that's not guaranteed - what will the left do about it?  They can't attack the politicians who voted against it and they haven't gotten far with protests so far.  Not that it'll stop them, the Uniparty could be a target for not stopping Orange Man.  And it's nearly summer so they'll have lots of free time for protests.  But those haven't worked either, I can't even remember when the last 'day of protests' was and I attended the local one.  The left has got to be desperate to find a new trick and now they can't even stop ICE.

He posted it on president.gov.ua so I assume it's official.  Problem is there's no reason to take it seriously.  You think the US would take it seriously if Iran asked for a ceasefire?  Wait, what?  Ok, let me try that again.  Have Russians ever indicated that they like ceasefires unless it's on their terms, such as when Putin unilaterally declares one for the holidays?

Making this demand public suggests it's serious although it might also be a trick.  Russia will probably assume the latter and Putin has already basically dismissed the demand.  He also points out that Zelensky says Europe will provide security guarantees, not the US.  So there is a definite divide in NATO at this point.  This just comes across as demanding a ceasefire and I can't stop seeing this as parallel to Iran, like they know they've lost but think they can hold out with negotiations.

Kind of startling to realize how much this war has been forgotten by most people.  That's totally understandable in one sense, it's not our war.  I still think Russia had to plan for this, knowing that European and US elites would care very much but normal people would have no interest.  But in another sense this war has just become daily life for anybody not on the front lines.  Even the western propagandists have rarely mentioned it for a long time.
