For those who have idealized Rowling, she's actually a perfect example of how this goes wrong.  Being white and very rich, she's been an icon for the left for a long time.  Yet she dares to speak out and gets attacked for it.  When she doesn't immediately beg for forgiveness, they keep going.  They'll attack people on their own side first.

This is what pushes liberals away from their own side, and is probably a basic explanation for the maturity that adults are *supposed* to have, having learned what reality is though years of experience.  Men are men, women are women, duh.  And her people oppose that.  I'm sure she avoids thinking about it, but at some point she'll have to ask if she was wrong about anything else that the people on her side support, given how eager they are to purge her for this.

I would assume being wealthy makes a certain amount of difference, at least for those who aren't utterly deluded and surrounded by managers who keep them from doing anything too stupid.  The left wants to destroy society, but at least rich leftists realize that if that happens, their wealth will vanish.  Without the accountants and tax lawyers keeping track of what's actually real, there'll be no money for the servants and the mansions.

There's also the damage to feminism caused by the trans movement.  The females who self-identify as men realize that they aren't getting any attention, while the males who self-identify as females get tons, and can beat up any chick who gets in their face for this.  And they get high-paying jobs to talk about how wonderful they are.  And the elites adore them.  It's like the genders really aren't equal, but the ladies claimed they wanted this.

So how long will it be before Ukraine totally defeats Russia as they've been doing for the last two years?  What special plan do they have in place to regain all these towns that have been taken in the last week or so?  Must be something big because otherwise this would look like they're losing to a nation that's completely destroyed and has no competent military or leadership.

I still think Russia is just playing with them like a cat with a mouse, but Ukraine supporters have never accepted that as a possibility.  That's why I keep asking what they're going to do next.  Sure, they'll send in more money, weapons and equipment to a corrupt nation that never bothered to ally with NATO, but that's not really going to help.

At least in the military, those that aren't *woke* are expected to look at what they're getting wrong, learning as much as possible from past mistakes to avoid new ones.  But our rulers think they can defeat a nuclear power with a military that's expected to meet all the DEI requirements, and they're eager for a draft.  They're not even looking at previous attempts to fight Russia and how those worked out.

Meanwhile Switzerland is still trying to insist that it's neutral and can handle peace talks, even as their foreign ministry admits it totally supports Ukraine and opposes Russia, which is the opposite of "neutrality."  Probably just another example of leftists deciding that words mean whatever they want, instead of the actual definition.  That's as good a reason as any to *not* want to be involved.

They'll just get a payoff.  The university sides with the bratty and privileged, that's how they keep these protests going.  Lower-class workers can be easily ignored and are totally replaceable.  What are they going to do, start protesting?  Not gonna happen.

It's possible the union is just threatening to do this.  Would they really side with janitors against their fellow Democrats?  Maybe it's just a pose, or maybe the union leaders will be the ones who get the payoff.  Keep trying to destroy Israel, kids, we'll clean up your mess.

Now the workers might not agree with this.  They'd probably be fine with the lawsuit, but the ruling class is going to have to make it official that some people have more rights than others and it's the others who will 'own nothing and like it.'

At least the peasants are (at the moment) capable of looking up previous examples of this in history, the ruling class only acknowledges its existence to the extent they need rhetoric about destroying it.  That's why they get to attend expensive universities to learn about what's really important, at least they think so.  That's why they're in charge.

The uniparty is strong with this one.  I think that's probably the point, that he can rave about starting a nuclear war and encourage sane people to get the hell away from him.  He's in the Senate, he could start putting a bill together to require exactly that.  Instead he just goes on tv and talks.

This sort of thing just shows that what we really need is a revolution.  Just overthrow them all and then we'll see who does or doesn't need an immediate trip to the gallows.  There's really no other way to get out of this and the only alternative is that they continue pushing the war.

Or if it's really necessary, we can attach Graham to the nuke.  If he really wants this started, it's a sacrifice he should be willing to make.  How serious is he about going nuclear?  Probably not that serious.  Our rulers never want to put themselves at risk.

Not bothering to look it up, but I've probably said nice things about Graham in the past.  Oh well.  He went to the House two years after Bill Clinton took office and the Senate two years after 9/11, this is just yet-another example of someone who's been around far too long.  I am surprised to see he's not even 70 yet, but there needs to be an end to professional politicians.

Still curious how Marvel and Disney are going to handle their upcoming movie bombs.  They just give corporate rhetoric like "retooling" which doesn't actually say anything, but they're both headed into a bigger mess than they're already in.

DC clearly expected The Flash to be a hit which it totally wasn't.  Barry Allen had started the Silver Age and the multiverse, so that was messed up.  The next several movies were guaranteed failures because they'd already announced they were redoing everything, so even if you weren't tired of this, even if you had the money to actually see movies, what's the point?

And now they're looking everywhere to find a way to avoid failure.  They're trying to find actors that people might want to see, not realizing that we already know they're *woke* so that turns off most of the audience anyway.  They just released an ad for Superman where some alien spaceship is burning down the city outside the window and Superman looks bored as he's putting on a boot, like he hasn't  no idea what's going on.

Marvel is in even worse shape, thanks to Disney.  They had to give up on the villain they were counting on because he's as abusive as the Flash.  They're trying to bribe the old actors to come back but I think most people will just see them as cameos, no matter how much screen time they get, and there's still the fact that this is obviously about propaganda.  The movie studios are the real villains and they're the ones making these decisions.

For quite a while now, I've been pondering how the superhero genre fit so well into the comics medium.  Still no real answers, but it's clear that it doesn't fit that well into movies.  You can do exceptions, particularly if you spend ridiculous amounts of money, but that ties the studios down far too much to even try creativity, much less quality.  At least rebooting Death Wish would be cheaper and not need any cgi.
